First of all it’s not a regular hotel. A decent place to stay safely for individuals, especially working people. Rooms are too small and uncomfortable for families. Well maintained, neat and clean. Good location. Good hot water in bathroom. Nice restaurants nearby.
Following not available in rooms;
- no coffee tea maker
- no complimentary water bottles
- very small lobby, big struggle to carry luggage to room
- lifts are very slow and long wait!
- very small wash basin
- no place to walk in rooms
If you’re alone for work use, else avoid at all costs!

Depending on your expectations ultimately, this is not a bad option.
This is the old Hotel G, and it's located a short walk away from Bugis MRT. It's right by many eateries, and the Middle Road / Bugis night life will be enjoyed very differently from those at Clark Quay (all of which, easily accessible).
Not my personal favourite, but it's really not bad.

The hotel is in a very good location, a clean and quiet area with convenient transportation and many affordable restaurants around. The rooms in Singapore hotels are generally small, but the biggest problem of this hotel is that the dry and wet areas are not separated, and there is not enough storage space! It is strongly recommended to set up more hooks or shelves, so that the wall can be fully utilized even if the floor space is limited.

A good stay with affordable price but room is a little small. Very convenient location with lots of food choices! Receptionist staff; Adina was friendly and accommodating to my request. Great service!

Unacceptable Stay Experience
The level of service and room quality provided was far below acceptable standards, and I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction.
Room Lighting: The inability to switch off the room lights, forcing us to endure a sleepless night with lights on, was utterly unacceptable. This is a fundamental issue, as basic electrical functionality should be a standard part of routine room checks. The following day, we were exhausted, particularly since we had an important event to attend. This is a clear oversight and needs immediate rectification.
TV & Entertainment: The lack of free TV channels was another disappointment. In a hotel setting, it is expected that guests can access at least local television stations, but here, the only option was to cast content from our personal social media accounts via mobile devices. This connection process was cumbersome, unintuitive, and ultimately unusable. It is highly unusual for a hotel not to offer basic local TV channels, and this should be considered a significant gap in your amenities.
Housekeeping Service: The hotel’s housekeeping policy, which only provides service after a minimum of three days, is completely unacceptable. Housekeeping should be offered daily or at the very least upon request. The failure to meet even basic cleanliness and comfort standards detracts from the overall experience and is extremely disappointing.
Elevator Service: The elevators are insufficient in number and operate at an agonizingly slow pace. Furthermore, as they are shared with housekeeping, long waits became routine, further exacerbating the inconvenience. Given the number of guests, more elevators are needed to ensure timely and efficient service.
Room Condition: The state of the room was another area of concern. The drainage cover was rusty, and the sideboards were visibly dusty. Such details indicate a lack of proper maintenance and attention to cleanliness, which is disappointing for a property of this caliber.
In conclusion, the issues outlined above reflect a serious decline in service quality and maintenance standards. As a paying guest, I expected far more, and this experience has left a lasting negative impression!
