This is a comfortable and nice stay in the midst of bustling Times Square. We had a good time and feel good staying here.
This may not be as good as other InterContinentals that I have experienced. There are some minor things in the room that is negligible but could be improved.
- mirror is only available in the bathroom.
- Room furniture is quite aged and need a little maintenance like the lower drawers stuck with the top drawers etc. but usable.
- 2 telephones in the room, one is plugged and one is not, more like it is there to decorate the room. Maybe it should be removed instead.
- housekeeping service forgot the number of bath towels needed and we need to make extra request daily.
- reception staff, concierge are not the friendliest. They are here to do their job and they did well. just that you would not feel they are doing an exceptional service.
The location is great, the room is nice(with overlook-able issues) and comfortable, if you are here for holiday and don’t mind the loud noise and a lot of people :)

Overall the room was decent, but not a 4 star experience like advertised. Our bathroom had so much active mold growing. (See pictures below) the shower head had active mold growing and hasn’t been cleaned ever. All of the grout has active mold growing. Each handle to grab on to has mold growing on it. The bed was comfortable and wasn’t too much noise pollution from the street below. Check in service was good they said rooms would be available by 3:00pm instead of 4:00normal check in.

My stay here has been great. The staff is very cordial and helpful. The housekeeper Janice is so thorough when she is cleaning my room. She makes sure I have enough towels and that the room is immaculate. Charles from bell service is very helpful and kind. He always has a smile on his visit and quick to provide assistance without me asking.

It was a very nice stay - the location of the hotel is great, the room itself was nice (even spacious for New York standards) and the view was great. You definitely hear the street (honking, sirens), but that's to be expected around time square.
Every employee was very friendly and professional - I can definitely recommend the hotel! I especially liked people checking in on you via texting and that you could easily get quick help with a text message.
The hotel restaurant (Stinger) was very nice and the steak was great!
Room for improvement (might sound worse than it is, just minor things):
The bathroom sliding door was smashing against something when opening it.
The door to the shower wasn't watertight (seal broken?) so after a shower, the bathroom was a bit flooded.
A soft close toilet seat would have been nice.
The breakfast was not up to our expectations: The bagels tasted somewhat off, and the salmon tasted like onions (because the onions were kept in the same enclosure as the salmon). The selection was somewhat limited (e.g. some more vegetables would have been nice).

Stayed a recent weekend. Location is superb for the theater / times square district. Check-in was a breeze. The hotel is very clean and modern. The room was spacious and white glove clean. The view of 8th Av was perfect from the 21st floor. The elevators were fast and frequent. The breakfast buffet in the Stinger restaurant was excellent. The bellhop and baggage storage / retrieval was great. You get what you pay for here. Top notch. If I had to lodge some type of complaint, here it is - the mini bar cube fridge in the room is stocked to the brim with every imaginable beverage. The problem is that if you have anything that you would like to refrigerate, you cannot. As soon as you so much move a can or bottle, it gets charged to the room. I managed to squash a 16oz bottle of water in there. That action triggered a purchase / charge which they removed.
