first of all ... they only have king size beds or full size beds. So if you don't have a king (which sell out fast) you're in what you slept in as a kid. Even though the rooms could easily fit 2 queen beds, they have 2 child size beds instead. aside from that, service is really going down hill. I used to love this place but the little beds, empty mini bars, sometimes they forget the coffee pods ... it's really going down hill. Other than the child size beds, the physical property is really good. generous room sizes, AC works great, nice finishes and fast elevators (never wait more than a few seconds). It's more the service. Front desk is the opposite of welcoming and housekeeping is just meh. the doormen are superb as are the restaurant staff.

If I could rate this hotel 0 stars I would but I want people to be aware. I checked in on Friday, March 28 and booked a corner room. The room they placed me in was filthy. They sheets had red stains and food stuck to it but was made up like it had been clean. The glasses had food on them. The bathroom shower had a ring of dirty around it. And the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in days. I went downstairs immediately to ask to be moved rooms and I was initially told I could not be moved because they were sold out but that it “maybe can be cleaned.” 20 minutes later after talking to a manager they magically had another room of the same type available. The room was two floors up and smelled like cigarettes that was masked with air freshener. The glasses in there were also dirty but at least that bed LOOKED like sheets were clean. We never got those glasses. The next morning we had to ask the house keeper to clean the bathroom even though she told us she had. There was hair on the toilet seats and she took the extra towels we asked for. We never used the toilet as when we checked in it was late and we came in showered and attempted to eat cheesecake and sleep. We were only offered free breakfast for the initial trouble. Not for the awful smelling room. We ate at the stringer restaurant downstairs and the wait staff was awful. Though we booked a reservation there they initially did not want to serve us because they assumed we didn’t have a reservation, even though we were guests of the hotel and it was the only restaurant there. They eventually seated us. But only checked on us once. We had to go through other waiters before getting our food and drinks. As such, we chose to not tip we high as we usually do. Upon check out, we learned that the waiter charged an additional 20% tip on our bill. Though we never agreed to that and it was not the bill that we signed. Had we not taken a picture of the original bill we signed, they would have made us pay it! We spoke with management about all of our issues and all they did was remove the amenity fees. We paid almost $900 for two nights of filthy rooms, and a room that smelled like cigarettes to which I am allergic to and conveyed. I am an avid IHG lover but this location is ridiculously terrible at customer service and cleanliness. The management didn’t even seem surprised the waiter tried to steal from us. We got a man from house keeping knocking on doors to make sure people were checked out and then marked the rooms clean on his clip board. The rooms were directly across from us at 10 in the morning and had not been clean at all. We know because he knocked on each one by one including ours and we sat there and watched him Do it just to see what their process is. It’s gross and unethical. They know their reviews are bad because everything they give you comes with a review card with their name on it and on Google. The only reason we even got breakfast cards for the first dirty room was because we agreed to write a review. How about just be kind and provide a clean room and then you wouldn’t have to beg your customers to write a good Review. The only good thing is you’re a 8 minute walk from Times Square. And Juan from Concierge is so kind and considerate. I’m so disappointed. Please be aware before Staying here. The only reason they even waved the “amenity fees” was because they heard me tell someone else I am an attorney. SMH. Do better. You are sullying the IHG brand.

Loved this hotel. Perfect location near the theatre's, subway & time square. Rooms were spacious and clean. Room service was speedy quick each time and housekeeping did a wonderful job. I would definitely return to this hotel on a future visit to NYC.

Review for Intercontinental Times Square, New York The Intercontinental Times Square is all about the location. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to catch Broadway shows—just a short walk away—and the dining options nearby are incredible. Within a block or two, you’ll find Turkish, Italian, French, Thai, and more. No matter what you’re craving, it’s right at your doorstep. The rooms are solid: clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. However, the pillows were a bit of a downside—not awful, but not great either. If you’re picky about your sleep setup, it might be worth noting. As for the staff, it was a mixed bag. The manager was nice and helpful, but the rest of the team varied in friendliness depending on who was on shift. Not bad overall, but don’t expect consistently warm service. All in all, the location and convenience make this a great option for a New York stay, especially if you’re here for Broadway and good food. Just keep your pillow expectations modest!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The location was unbeatable—situated perfectly for easy access to Broadway, great dining, and entertainment. Whether I wanted to explore or simply relax, everything was within reach. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. It felt like a serene retreat after a long day of sightseeing, with plush bedding and a peaceful ambiance that made it hard to leave. The cleanliness was impeccable, and every detail in the room was taken care of. A standout highlight of my stay was the service at the hotel’s restaurant, The Stinger. Eddie, the server, went above and beyond to make our girls’ weekend experience memorable. His attentiveness, warmth, and knowledge of the area added a personal touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest. He made great recommendations and was always there when needed. All in all, this hotel provided a perfect blend of a prime location, a comfortable and clean room, and exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier experience! And if you are in the area, swing by The Stinger and ask for Eddie. You will not be disappointed.
