Kudafushi Resort was an absolute paradise! Stunning views, luxurious amenities, and top-notch service. Manager Marta made our stay exceptional—always attentive and accommodating to our needs. One of the highlights was launching my drone from two unique spots: the resort’s deck by security and a nearby desert island we reached by jet ski. Captured some breathtaking shots that made the trip even more unforgettable. Highly recommend Kudafushi for anyone looking for a perfect Maldivian getaway!

We spent 4 nights at Kudafushi as part of our honeymoon. The island itself is small but beautiful. The staff (housekeeping and waiters) were extremely attentive, respectful and nice.
However, in our 3.5 days stay, we had two mayor issues with our Watervilla. One afternoon, the lock stopped working and we were not able to enter the room. After two visits to reception, they sent someone to open but we had to wait for somebody else in order to repair the lock. During this time (approximately 1.5 hrs), we could not leave the Villa as we were not able to reenter.
The day after our air conditioning stopped working. We called reception and they sent someone to fix the air conditioning. This involved taking out the filters in order to clean them which despite the staff being careful involved dust falling down. The air conditioning was positioned over the bed and we lost approx. 1 hour in talking to reception and being with the person fixing the air conditioning. When we told reception that this was the second problem we were having with the villa, they apologized but told us that due to high occupancy it was impossible to switch. When we insisted that this could not be the standard of a 5 star resort, the person at reception spoke to the manager who was supposed to meet us the day after before our departure. On the morning of departure (our water flight left around 8 in the morning), the manager did not show up and the staff at reception was not aware of any issues. Even though the staff apologized and told us they would discuss internally, we have not heard anything from the manager.
In addition, we booked (and paid) a domestic flight and boat in order to arrive at the resort. Upon arrival in Male, the staff told us that we would go by water plane and that we had to pay extra because our suitcases were too heavy. We were not offered the possibility to use the transportation method we had booked and which would not have involved extra costs. Upon arrival at Kudafushi, we were told by the person responsible for us during our stay that the resort had “gifted us the upgrade to water plane” (which resulted in extra costs for us and which we deliberately decided not to book).
All in all, we cannot recommend Kudadushi and will not return there. As a matter of fact, especially due to the unprofessionalism of management, we told our travel agency to no longer recommend this resort.
