Kurumba Maldives - absolutely gorgeous vacation, in a bungalow on the beach, with spectacular views and an air of absolute tranquility and relaxation. Every morning began with the sound of the waves and a dreamy view of the turquoise ocean.
Full moon? A real spectacle on the water.
The bungalow was extremely comfortable, equipped with all the necessary amenities. Going directly to the fine sand and crystal clear water made every day a total treat.
You can find corals and fish of all colors a few steps from the entrance to the water, snorkeling facilities.
The food was absolutely sensational! The varied buffet and the à la carte restaurants offered a special culinary experience.
In addition, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to every detail, the boat transfer very fast.
Being close to the airport, at certain times, there is more airplane traffic, which was not disturbing for us. The proximity to the main airport can actually be an advantage.
We liked it more than in Seychelles🙂.
I highly recommend this place.
I can't wait to go back!

Superb property, rooms, food, staff and facilities, well honed, many repeat clients over 20 years. Location is a matter of viewpoint, easy 15 min. speedboat access from airport, views from one side of island include Male high rises in the distance, which may detract for some. Wheelchair friendly paths and also buggy service. Ultra safe shallow lagoon around island is superb for swimming, snorkelling-great fish life, rays, small sharks and some corals. Paddle boarding and canoeing. Diving centre staff very friendly and centre is well set up to make diving effortless. If you want to see mantas here make sure to come late in the year, check with centre first, but never guaranteed! Overall package here must be very difficult to beat.

The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, the rooms were very comfortable, and the food on-resort is very high quality. The views and experiences they offered were truly worth every penny/currency of your choice. The only improvement I would suggest, and this is a very minor thing, is to update the TVs in some of the rooms as they were quite old.

Very expensive for what it is, be prepared to spend as much on food and drink as you did on your booking! It won't be worth going all inclusive or full board if you're vegetarian or don't drink alcohol. Included breakfast is very good, lunch and dinner a bit hit & miss from the cafe and in villa dining selection. Conveniently located close to the airport but that does mean it can be noisy at times. Pretty and mostly well kept in all areas. I was disappointed that there was no steam, sauna or Jacuzzi and a larger pool area would be a benefit. Service varies from under par to great, most staff are friendly and attentive. There's a good dive centre here and plenty of watersports and other activities available. We stayed 3 nights and that was enough.. the resort is quite small, lacks spa facilities and food choices were limited for us as vegetarians. The cost of the stay was around $2500 for 2 people in a standard bungalow with breakfast included and a la carte dining and drinking. Cheaper than other resorts but not really worth it due to the location and amenities.

Kurumba is good for a short stay due to airport proximity, 10 mins by boat. On the cheaper end of island options also.
You will hear and see lots of planes but worth the trade for a short stay, seaplane transfer will add 3 hours typically. Also lots of kids because of this.
For a longer stay I would go further out, you get the desert island feel and less kids.
Staff very very nice and super helpful and efficient. We stayed Dine Around and all the food was good, Thai, Indian, fish place and breakfast has fresh eggs etc.
Drink options are ok, not amazing. Wine list is very basic.
High density island so busy. Sometimes hard to get a bed at the pool.
Free snorkeling kit and supp/kayaking.
We knew what the differences would be to staying remote at a more expensive island and enjoyed our short stay very much.
