We have just came back from a 9 days stay here and it was me and my husband wedding anniversary celebration with our child and my husband did put this on request when booking. We normally would have expected some nice towels decor for our occasions like any other hotels we’ve stayed in even we didn’t have the request in or for that occasions but that was a little disappointing. The location of this place was amazing. We have done some sight seeing nearby places. Rooms was good size but could have been more clean with dusting the bedside tables and other furnitures in the room which I ended up doing it myself. As we’ve stayed in many 5* star hotels around the world. We definitely expected better customer service than what we’ve experienced during this stay. We would say some staff are great but not all and to be honest this will win things over if every staff gave their 100% service to every customer but not just selective to who they like for better service. Overall, it was a good stay but it would have been a great stay if the small details was put into place.
Thanks for looking after us!

We stayed 3 nights in October in one of the terrace 1-bedroom apartments. The price was very good. The staff are wonderful. The seating is comfortable and the kitchen is nice and well equipped. The air conditioning works well, but during our visit the windows needed to be covered most of the day because of the heat from the sun into the room. I thought the bed was hard (my husband didn't) and the bathrooms were a little awkward. The restaurant has very nice food for lunch, but the breakfast was underwhelming. It should be set up in the restaurant area with the view rather than in the dark. Overall, I think it was nice, quiet, and relaxed.

What a fabulous hotel!
We stayed for 10 nights on halfboard and loved every minute.
First of all I would like to highlight the staff. Every member was beyond friendly and helpful in any aspect. Thank you 🙏 for doing such a great job!
The suites are nice, clean and roomy with lots of space. Go for a terrace suite for better views and access to a terrace in front of the apartment.
The furniture shows signs of aging and could need a replacement but nothing that really matters. Bed is okay - to the hard side.
Very convenient with two bathrooms!
Every day fresh water and new coffee capsules were provided in the room.
We loved the location with easy access to hike in the mountains. The trails are starting right in front of the resort.
Breakfast is outstanding with lots to choose from. We loved the selection of fresh foods and especially the freshly squeezed orange juice.
At dinner we had the opportunity to choose a variety of foods from the buffet, a 3 course dinner at the restaurant or at the pizzeria (only at weekends). This came to us as a lovely surprise.
We went to some of the activities and used the fitness room. Everything was 💯 approved and once again the staff was absolutely amazing.
We did not go to the spa.
Only downsides:
The hotel is very close to the road and some noise is heard. The hotel needs maintenance in some areas.

Thanks again to all the staff at Monchique Resort. I stayed for a week and it was bliss. The room, food, activities, spa, setting....all perfect. All of the staff so accommodating, welcoming and skilled. Highly recommend to those looking for a peaceful stay.

We had a great experience here, all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Nicholas who showed us to our room and gave us a little tour of the place. The room was lovely, spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was also great we had a feast every morning! I would say that it can be easy to get lost in here, we arrived via the underground car park and couldn’t figure out where to go to check in, maybe better signage is needed. Also location-wise, stunning views as it’s in the mountains and not far from all the viewpoints so you can drive or hike it, however it can be difficult to travel to other locations in the Algarve. We had a car rental thankfully but driving to other places would be 30 minutes - 1 hour drive, sometimes more. But saying that I still would stay here again!!
