This hotel was just so dreamy. It’s a hidden gem in the mountains hence very quiet and serene. The staff were so friendly. The rooms are massive with very comfortable beds. We got the suite that comes with a living room area which was gorgeous. We had bed and breakfast which was also very delicious. Would definitely recommend

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our experience truly relaxing. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. A couple of things to note: there were big queues for breakfast, so you might need a little patience in the morning. Also, unfortunately, the pizzeria restaurant was closed during our visit, which was a bit disappointing as we were looking forward to trying it. The buffet was okay, but nothing exceptional. The hotel was also full of kids, which made it a bit noisy at times. Overall, despite these minor inconveniences, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it for its excellent service and comfortable rooms.

My friend and I loved our stay here. The room was beautiful, clean and had great views. The staff were absolutely phenomenal - really friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious, they make a great cocktail and both the buffet and a la carte food was really tasty. There were plenty of sun loungers, even during peak season, and the spa was lovely and quiet with good facilities. There isn’t a huge amount in the surrounding area but it’s a great place to relax in the hills with fantastic views, and the beach is only around a 20-30 minute drive. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday, I would absolutely recommend Monchique!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is extremely clean and well-maintained. We would especially like to commend the gentleman at the reception desk with glasses and a longer beard – he was very kind and helpful, which left a great first impression. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with everything neatly organized. One suggestion would be to pay more attention to the morning atmosphere in the restaurant – it would be nice if children were a bit quieter and not running around the tables with plates, to ensure a more comfortable experience for all guests. We requested a room with a mountain view, and our request was fulfilled – thank you to the staff for that! However, in the evening, when we wanted to open the terrace door, we noticed some unusual noises, which were a bit confusing and disrupted the peace. The spa experience was fine – pleasant, though nothing particularly special. In short – we enjoyed our stay, the hotel has great potential and deserves praise, but for a 5-star hotel, there is still room for improvement.

Gorgeous hotel in a wonderful location, the rooms are clean and spacious. A car is highly recommended. Whilst there is lots to do for a short weekend stay, a car will give you freedom to explore the local area including the beaches and broadens your food options. The restaurants are great but if you're a foodie you'll probably want to head out as options become repetitious. Staff are super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely book again.
