Just returned from 5 days at ME … we travel a lot/ once a month all over Europe / Far East / Caribbean so we know what it takes to run a good hotel … ME is brilliant, great Food / Location / service all brilliant … Nothing was ever a problem to any department, the girls Judit & Christine at VIP services were great as was the Breakfast staff / pool staff/ receptionist/ cleaners etc etc .. We will be back however this time with a big group of friends… highly recommend Paul & Maddie Manchester

We recently stayed at this hotel as a young family with a 12-month-old baby. Overall, it’s a beautiful property with excellent facilities, and we had a mostly positive experience — hence the four-star rating. However, we encountered a frustrating situation that I feel is important to share. The first few days were excellent. We paid for a sea view room on arrival, and the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail all felt in line with the hotel's 5-star reputation. Unfortunately, the room we were given had several areas of dislodged flooring, which created visible gaps and posed a safety hazard for our baby who had just started walking. When I raised the issue at reception, I expected a prompt and professional response. Instead, I was passed between several staff members over the course of several hours. The handling of the situation was rigid and dismissive. At no point did anyone from the front desk come to inspect the issue in the room, which was incredibly disappointing. Eventually, a manager did show me another room and later came up to our original one — she was the only person who took the time to understand and resolve the issue, for which I was grateful. But by that point, several hours had been wasted, and the experience had already been soured. That said, many other members of staff were exceptional. The restaurant team were absolutely fantastic — they made us feel welcome every day and went out of their way to engage with our son. It made a huge difference to us as first-time parents travelling with a baby. Similarly, the staff in the crèche and baby play area were amazing, showing genuine warmth and care throughout our stay. Since the issue was raised, we appreciated the gestures extended to us by the hotel, and we don’t take them for granted. The hotel itself has a lot to offer, and most of the team were a credit to the place. Unfortunately, the way the front desk handled our situation fell short of what I’d expect from a hotel of this calibre — and was the one part of our experience that let things down.

This is a hotel that focuses on attention to detail. Not only is the location exquisite but what makes the experience even more amazing is the staff. The vibe and lovliness of everyone separates this hotel from many many other hotels. Nothing is too much too ask for and everything is done with a smile.
