Flies on food not covered up!
Lift number 2 had fresh blood on its wall for 3 days until I told reception...so they're not being cleaned every day.
Only 1 chair on the balcony...got another 3days later after complaining twice daily!
Not enough cups at breakfast.. people walking round looking and staff not very interested.
On the other hand...
Reception staff were very helpful and polite.
The main area of the hotel looks lovely with all the greenery.
Lifts were all working as far as I know.
Pool is large but area not big enough for all the sunbeds.

We came for a friends birthday 11 ladies. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, clean, friendly staff, great terrace bar ! Pool is beautiful too and no problems with getting a sun bed. The area itself is great - far enough from the strip so not to hear the partying but close enough to walk or a short taxi ride to the night life! The night life is brilliant. Look, it’s not luxoury but it’s certainly not bad at all it’s so much fun ! We were so worried about pick pockets and mugging and dodgy people in the clubs but saw none of that. Honestly had the best time !!

Reception is very nice, and the service was good. Sofa's very grubby.
The rooms are in need of updating and worn, but the size was ok, and they were quite clean.
Air con poor
Sounds like needs a service.
Vid attached for the sound
Restaurant food was quite good and reasonably selection but not enough for me to eat there 5 night in a row.
Pool area quality
A 3.5 star hotel.
4 star if the rooms were updated

I love to go to Hotel melia benidorm. Very lovely hotel. Very spacious. Amazing pool area that looks beautiful all lit up at night. Amazing views from the rooms which have a very spacious balcony. The hotel has very nice facilities. I didn't use the restaurant this time round, but it can be very busy. I loved going into the cafe bar at night with my family. They have a lovely group of servers in there who are definitely an asset to the hotel: Fernando, Jose, Lydia, and the other lovely girl who was serving who we unfortunately didn't catch her name but they are all so friendly and make it a very friendly environment for any patrons coming into the bar. People from all over the world frequent this hotel, which adds to the appeal.

Stayed here earlier this month for four nights. Arrived at midnight and despite there being 4 members of staff on Reception and only a small amount of people checking in, it was a nightmare! Never have I ever known a slower check in process and I'm still unsure as to why it took so long?! We were on the 16th floor so the view was great - rooms were okay - definitely not representative of a four star! Rooms were cleaned every day we were there which was really good. We were bed and breakfast but only had breakfast the one time as the amount of flies I noticed on the food that wasn't covered up was ridiculous and put me right off from eating there so we had breakfast out the following days. Hotel is in a good location as it's away from all of the noise but it's close enough to walk into should that be your preference. Lounge area in reception with all of the sofa's in is very tired - the state of some (if not all) absolutely warrants them being binned and replaced! Wouldn't stay here again if we did go back to Benidorm as there are much better hotels with the same star rating that look much better!
