Terrible experience—avoid! The lobby smelled musty upon walking in, and no staff was around to check us in for 10 min (line formed with other guests waiting around midnight). We weren’t discouraged until we overheard another guest asking for a different room due to mold and mildew—unsure that this was resolved. I noticed a fist-sized hole in floor of 4th floor hallway on the way to the room. Upon arriving in the room, the only lamp didn’t work, there was no deadbolt on the door, limited plugs, and the door had to be pushed in hard to open or close. Besides very small, rough body towels, the shower looked old and had crust forming on the drain/cover. Then I discovered several small ant-like bugs in the bathroom crawling near one corner. While there were no bugs that I could see in the tiny, uncomfortable, old mattresses, I did find another person’s hair in the sheets. As I tried to go to sleep, I found that the walls were paper thin and we could hear people playing music until past 3:30am, and woke up to the sounds of several others talking and a kid playing/making loud noises almost as if they were in our room. The room darkening curtains don’t work or cover the window properly as it was very bright in the morning as well, coupled with the loud noises from other guests we could hardly sleep. Air conditioner worked but was very loud. This was the worst stay I’ve ever had (no idea how this place is listed as 3 stars) and we were still charged for the extra days we were supposed to stay—beware.

Our room was missing a hair dryer and microwave. Had a fridge and coffee maker. Had an iron with an ironing board that was covered in mildew. One of the beds sheets looked dirty and used. The bathroom had soapscum all over the shower and stains on the counter. Not to mention the bugs! Little tiny bugs that seemed to come from the sink. I killed about 10 per day, only found in the bathroom. I pray that they don't follow me home! The floor in our room was filthy and left our feet black after walking. TV coloring was terrible, black was green and red. The pool goes from 3ft to 7ft. Tiles clean, bottom dingy. No towels are out for guests. A handful of chairs are here and some trees. No restroom near or in pool area. They did let us hang out until it was time to go to the airport which was nice. But I won't be staying here again.

Lunar Howl

The location is not worth it. I am a VERY honest person with these reviews. My brother and I came here after deciding a trip to Universal and the Final Fantasy VII Orchestra for the weekend before Thanksgiving. The price was decent but once we entered the Hotel the photos shared were a lie. The hotel looked like a run down motel within the horror movies where one would be lost and needed somewhere to sleep for the night but can't due to fear. The check in was a pain due to the thick plastic in front making it hard to hear then to top the $150 I already paid the security was an outrageous $100 extra. I was not told this whatsoever. The people that stood were nasty, smoking weed and making fun of others and watching cars. We feared parking the car so we kept watching it. The elevator *thank God it worked* had what seemed to be bullet marks on the glass. Once we went into the hall, it said no smoking everywhere but it smelled like a tobacco shop ran by a old lady who started at 12. We entered the room and it was fine for a moment. Smelled okay. But the beds were springy, the bathroom and fridge though had roaches running around as if it was another day in the office. The rooms have doors that lead to other rooms where you can hear everyone clear as day. The lights were dim and yellow. We were exhausted but couldn't sleep. So we went and asked for a refund, explained the situation. My god.. they quickly were telling me they don't normally do refunds and told me to call Expedia. I did and had them refund me everything. This is not worth the stay, go to the Avanti next door. They are so much better.

Not the greatest hotel, but not the worst hotel I've been to. Rooms: My room was fairly big, I didn't find any bugs and I don't think there was any bed bugs. Some concerns I had was that my room had some random doors that open to another door, which was explained to me as it being connecting rooms before. I kept it locked it whole time, but I wouldn't recommend this to any vulnerable populations traveling alone because of safety. Some parts of my room was dirty, like my toilet, my sink, my bathtub and the floors. I would suggest to bring wipes so that you can wipe everything down. I feel like there is definitely signs of mold in the room although it did not smell like mold, but outlets work and my AC works as well. Equipped with microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner was also provided! I would say if you're okay with it being a tad dirty, it's a decent place for a decent price. Service: Staff is very nice and friendly. Always smiling and greeting you. They do try to make your stay as comfortable as they can to the best of their capabilities. Location: Very close to a lot of stores. Right in front, there is also a bus line as well. I picked this place mostly for the location and I'd say that I traveled pretty easily with the bus lines. Though, I don't know if it's safe at night.

Diamond Hsiang

Worst hotel experience ever in my life. Checked in and out within 5 minutes and they refuse to give me a refund. All their 5 star reviews are obviously fake and poorly written by their owners. The people at the registrar lied to my face saying the third party website will give me a refund. They don't even know the names of their own manager. The room itself smelled like cat piss, and the walls were paper thin. There were stains and bugs crawling all over the sheets and walls. The photos on the website are probably from 50 years ago. We immediately checked into another hotel down the street, which had records of us staying there. Monumental Movieland still has the audacity to claim that we stayed a night at their hotel and charge us for it. This is definitely their only way to make money - By scamming people!!! DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DON'T STAY HERE.
