The island is beautiful and the service good, but unfortunately we felt the experience didn’t live up to the price tag. We were told we could use the water-sports equipment, so we decided to try foilboarding. We were asked if we need an explanation how the board works (which was also charged without us knowing). So after a short 40-minute session, we were surprised with a $730 bill — not exactly what you expect when you’re told something is “included.” We also had a daily dining credit, but it couldn’t be used for room service, which felt inconvenient when we wanted to sleep in or enjoy a relaxed evening. It’s a stunning place, no doubt, but for the prices charged, I expected more transparency and flexibility.

Safety and Care Severely Lacking at One&Only Reethi Rah We were repeat guests of One&Only Reethi Rah over nearly two decades. During our stay in February 2023, I was struck head on by a service vehicle while cycling on a guest path, resulting in serious injuries and a lengthy hospital stay. The resort provided almost no support or accountability, I quite literally had to beg for an incident report and their insurance company delayed negotiations for more than two years before offering a token settlement. This is not what guests should expect from a so called luxury property. The resort has changed dramatically. Today it prioritizes profit over guest welfare, the entire environment is obnoxious and arrogant with little care about guest experience, once you have paid and arrive they don't seem to care what happens next. Please think carefully before booking.

The service is impeccable, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The food is exceptional, with a variety of dining options to suit every taste. A true paradise! Best location in Maldives! The staff was incredibly friendly, cheerful and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious, so many choices, so many different cuisines with impeccable service. The rooms are big and spacious and the beds are beyond comfortable! Excellent cocktails at the bar by the pool with great music performance each night!

This truly is an experience of living on a an island in the middle of the ocean, there’s so much to do on this island that you need for five days here they have a whole array of sports including tennis, Pickleball, swimming jet, skis, sail boats, scuba, diving and fishing. They have many different restaurants on this island, and we never got tired of eating at the same place. May I also added the breakfast is included every morning and it’s one of the best breakfast since I’ve ever had.
