I can honestly say this was one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at in my life. I’ve been to the Maldives twice before, but this time was completely different and truly exceptional. The resort is spotless, and the staff are kind, polite, and respectful, which made the entire experience unique and memorable. It’s an excellent choice for families, with very fair pricing and complete honesty in everything. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, and each villa has a dedicated assistant who is always helpful, attentive, and quick to respond. I would especially like to mention Achala, who made our stay truly extraordinary. The restaurants offer a wide variety of delicious options, and the chefs and waiters are all outstanding. Every meal felt special thanks to their service and quality. Special thanks to Mo in the main restaurant, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional, always making sure we were well taken care of. I also want to thank Chef Suyruia whose cooking was absolutely delicious and added a warm, authentic touch to our dining experience. We had the most beautiful vacation here, and I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to everyone, regardless of nationality or background. The staff are respectful of all cultures and religions, and they have speakers of many languages, including Arabic, which makes everything easier and more welcoming. This is a beautiful property on an island. Excellent facilities. They take very good care of guests. Lots of good food and drink. Excellent hospitality. Lubhan, Suriya, Mary, Mo and Amatty took great care to give us food to our liking. Even going out of the way to satisfy us. Jerry and Lester took care of all our logistics, like reservations for restaurants, spa, cruises, snorkeling etc. Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in going.

From the moment we landed in Malé to the moment we waved goodbye, every aspect of our stay was flawlessly curated, heartfelt, and deeply personal. Seamless Arrival & First Impressions Transfers were perfectly coordinated, and finding our seaplane was effortless. Upon arrival at the island, we were greeted with traditional Maldivian drums and warm smiles — and standing at the dock himself was Mario, the General Manager. The fact that he welcomed each guest personally and took the time to speak with us made an immediate impact. That personal touch set the tone for our entire stay. Personalized Care – A Dedicated Island Host We were assigned a personal island coordinator, Lester, who ensured that every detail of our trip was taken care of. He was our go-to person for everything, from restaurant bookings to excursions — attentive, organised, and always available. A Resort with Its Own App – Truly Modern Luxury One thing that stood out was Raya’s in-house mobile app. It’s incredibly user-friendly and keeps you updated on daily activities, restaurant schedules, spa sessions, water sports, and cultural events. It made exploring the island effortless and exciting. Accommodation – Pure Dreamscapes We split our stay: 🏝️ 4 nights in the Water Villa – Waking up over turquoise lagoons, spotting sharks, stingrays, and vibrant marine life right from our deck was surreal. 🏖️ 4 nights in the Beach Villa with Private Pool – My absolute favourite! It offered space, privacy, lush greenery, and direct access to powder-soft sands. A true luxury home on the beach. The Heart of Raya – Its Incredible Team If Raya is perfect, it’s because of its people. The staff are the soul of this island. Special shout-outs to: • Himanshu (Food & Beverage Manager) – A true gem. He personally ensured every meal, every preference, every tiny request was taken care of. Any concern we had was immediately resolved with sincerity. • Sangeeta – Her grace, warmth, and hospitality at the restaurants were beyond exceptional. She made us feel like family. • Sujal (Bartender) – Possibly the friendliest bartender we’ve ever met! His cocktails were divine, but his conversations and laughter made evenings magical. • Sam (Pool F&B Team) – Hardworking, warm, and so genuinely caring; she brought joy to every moment by the poolside. These incredible individuals carry Raya’s spirit on their shoulders. They are the reason Raya feels like home. Experiences & Excursions We embarked on Raya’s turtle snorkeling excursion with Zayaan, who instantly made us feel safe and comfortable. His knowledge of marine life and calm presence turned the excursion into a once-in-a-lifetime memory. Dining, Pools & Island Life From world-class cuisine to breathtaking infinity pools, every moment was indulgent. The Raya Plan we chose offered incredible culinary variety, premium beverages, and activities that were worth every bit. Final Thoughts People often ask if 8 nights is too long in the Maldives. At Raya, even 8 nights felt short. We left with full hearts, teary eyes, and promises to return. My husband and I went to Raaya by Atmosphere for our honeymoon and we had such a great time! I’ll break my review down into three aspects - Staff, Food, and activities. STAFF First up, the staff at Raaya were incredible! This is our first time in Maldives, so we don’t know how normal this is but everyone was so warm and friendly. Besides our Island Manager, Achala (who was very ready to help us with any questions and helped me stay on track with reminders on the things we booked), we also met many wonderful people, such as Mo, Mary, and Amir, who were from various restaurants/places in the island and were always engaging and ready to help or give a recommendation. Unfortunately, it is a big flaw of mine that I don’t remember names or the list would be longer! FOOD We also have nothing but good things to say about the food. Because we had 4 meals at speciality restaurants, one floating breakfast, and one candlelight dinner, we didn’t get sick of the main dining hall (Raaya Life). Breakfast was also a highlight of the day. I enjoyed the fresh juice bar very much because we could customise the juices, and my husband and I absolutely loved this nutella pastry they had. We had it almost every time it was available. It’s not a breakfast food but I also want to mention the fried risotto balls they had at the poolside – it’s a great blend of tomato sauce and cheese and I probably ordered it every time we went to the pool to snack or eat! ACTIVITIES As part of the Raaya plan, the sunset cruise, sunset fishing cruise, and the 45 minute spa were pre-booked for us. The sunset cruises were a great way to see the sunset and we found it very relaxing. When it came to the spa, we actually had three options we could choose from, so you don’t have to worry that you don’t like what’s on the menu. Apart from these, you can also book the daily snorkelling tour to the house reef – it’s a one hour snorkelling trip and it was great for us (I was totally new to snorkelling and found myself enjoying it a lot more than expected!). They do have paid diving and snorkelling tours too, as well as manta ray and dolphin tours, but we did not opt for those as our days were full enough. Every day, you can also head over to the activity center to assembly your dhoni boat, and I think there’s a dhoni boat race every other day. There is also a sports center where we played mini golf, but where there are plenty of other activities too, like petanque and tennis. We went there twice and it seemed pretty empty both times, which meant we didn’t have to queue or wait for anyone. OVERALL We had an amazing time and we would recommend Raaya by Atmosphere to anyone (especially first time visitors to Maldives like us) who would like a welcoming, all-inclusive resort that has plenty to do.
