We had an amazing time at SALT of Palmar Hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful everywhere – you really feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and varied, a true highlight every day! The hotel’s intimate atmosphere is wonderful. It’s small and private and the water is simply stunning.
We were there for our honeymoon (hotel 1 of 3 in Mauritius) and booked the honeymoon package. Every activity was personal and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff always took time to make us feel good and to introduce us to the mauritian way of life.
The only small downside is the price of meals and drinks outside the package – they are very high for small portions. Additionally the neighborhood of the Hotel didn’t really have option to eat outside.
But apart from that, our stay was very good and we’d love to come back!

We loved it! Amazing boutique hotel, not too big and the buildings are not the newest, just refurbished, but it fits the charme of the hotel. Cool design and very clean! The staff was so lovely, we never had a better service!! And the food was great as well! We had a wonderful and relaxing stay and enjoyed it from the very first moment.

Gorgeous views, delicious food and an all-round great stay. 4.5*
- beautiful sea view room.
- Impeccable cleaning, and general cleanliness around the hotel too
- Beautifully designed
- Very good food (with the exception of
1-2 dishes)
- Amazing breakfast. Chocolate and pistachio swirl is to die for
-very cool that you can do free snorkelling.
Cons:
- Service at breakfast/ dinner. Most of the time good but sometimes poor (slow to come over with the menu, slow to come back for drinks, slow to come back for food). We weren't the only ones who experienced this. Doesn't quite meet 5* standards in that regard. Just a better system required
- not very helpful when seeking non-urgent medical assistance

This hotel is one of the greatest hotel I have ever been in my life for many reasons. It’s quiet, beautiful, not too huge to have a long distance from your room to restaurant, pool and all facilities. Everything is near to your room like the pool or restaurant. They are always smiling and welcoming you. They are so eager to help you to have a great time not only in the hotel, but also in Mauritius. From the moment when I stepped to the hotel I have had a warm welcoming and nice juice and cakes. The hotel has a very beautiful design with lots of happiness, gorgeous colors. They treat you like friends not a guest. I have lots to say, but one of the most important thing to say is i recommend you to try their bakery. They have a very delicious Carson, cakes, and bread. I really encourage you to visit this place. I would like to thank everyone for spending a great time there.

This was the best hotel and the best service we had in all our time on Mauritius. From the warm welcome we received by the crew, to the service where every request has been answered to the extraordinary food, everything was perfect. This small boutique hotel has its very own charme focusing on being relaxed and sustainability. Being adult only adds a tranquil atmosphere to everything. The room was very spacious and had a nice view overlooking the sea. You have all amenieties there you need, including yoga equipment and free refillable water bottles. The pool is nice and clean and so is the beach with ist georgeous views and plenty of space for swimming. Would also recommend the snorkeing activity included in the service, as well as yoga provided by the hotel.
The best is the food though, being fully ala carte with special dishes every day. There are a lot of vegetarian and even vegan options too. Their bakery has super tasty pastries and also the barkeepers are top. We had the most kind, funny and fast waiter in the hotel, Sanjay. He really understands team spirit and keeps you happy. Deepasha from the reception staff was very helpful and gave us useful tips during our first days in Mauritius. We felt save and welcomed during our stay more treated like friends than like guests.
