Our stay at the Intercontinental was fantastic! The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our visit. There were plenty of activity options to keep us entertained. We snorkeled off the dock daily, which was a highlight, and had great fun with water skiing—made even better by a fantastic instructor. I also joined a Sega dance class (the traditional Mauritian dance) thanks to some friendly encouragement from Reshma, who was always a welcoming presence on the staff.
The food was excellent across the board. We tried all the restaurants, and each one was brilliant. Even the buffet exceeded expectations with a wide variety of well-prepared dishes. We were never left waiting long for drinks either—Kelly, in particular, stood out as an attentive and friendly face at the bar.
The all-inclusive package was truly comprehensive, with a great selection of food and drinks. It's very clear if anything requires a supplement, but the main menus offer plenty of choices as part of the package.
Both check-in and check-out were smooth, and we felt well looked after from start to finish. The entire experience was stress-free, and we never had to worry about a thing. Highly recommend this resort for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

The hotel setting is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. However, there were several aspects that could have been improved during our stay. For example, a minor repair issue in the shower was not resolved despite our repeated requests. Additionally, ongoing construction work was supposed to grant us all-day access to the restaurant; however, upon arrival, we were initially told this wasn’t possible, and we had to wait nearly an hour to be served.
The booking process is also inconvenient, as it requires a bank transfer before arrival, with no option to pay on-site. The hotel made it clear that the reservation would be canceled if the transfer wasn’t made. Additionally, it was sometimes difficult to access the restaurant for dinner, as we were told it was fully booked when there was actually space available—fortunately, a staff member eventually allowed us to dine there.
The room is beautiful and clean, with a very enjoyable jacuzzi, but the balcony was unusable due to pigeon droppings. The valet service isn’t always available either, which can be inconvenient as the parking is not nearby and can make transporting belongings difficult. Lastly, the hotel’s location is rather isolated.
Despite these inconveniences, the hotel is very beautiful, and the staff is welcoming. I recommend it for a short stay of 1 or 2 nights if you simply want to enjoy the hotel itself.

Our recent stay at the resort was truly delightful, especially with the availability of authentic Indian Jain food, which made us feel right at home even outside of India. The resort’s range of complimentary activities added so much value, but what really impressed us was the kids’ club, ‘Planet Trekkers.’ The enthusiastic teachers engaged the children in meaningful activities all day, giving us complete peace of mind to enjoy some much-needed relaxation. It’s rare to find a place that caters so thoughtfully to both parents and children. Highly recommended for families looking for a worry-free getaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Resort on Mauritius, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The level of service provided by the staff truly exceeded all expectations, and there were a few exceptional individuals who made our stay even more memorable.
First and foremost, I would like to highlight Vimla, our waitress. She was absolutely incredible. Every day, she remembered our exact orders, which made dining effortless and enjoyable. Not only was she attentive, but she also had a wonderful ability to anticipate our needs before we even asked. Her kindness and dedication were truly remarkable, and she made our dining experience a highlight of each day.
Another standout was Shivraj, the gentleman who took care of our room every day. His attention to detail was impeccable; our room was always spotless, and he made sure to replenish everything with care. It was clear that he took great pride in his work, and his consistency ensured we had a comfortable and welcoming space to return to every evening.
Additionally, I must mention the lovely lady working in Shop No. 1. She was extremely helpful, offering expert advice on local products and even providing us with discounts on some of our purchases. Her friendly demeanor and personalized recommendations made shopping a delightful experience.
Finally, Khilesh from the front desk was a tremendous help throughout our stay. Always smiling and eager to assist, Khilesh ensured that every request was handled promptly and efficiently. His genuine care for guests made us feel right at home, and his professionalism stood out.
Overall, our experience at the Intercontinental was exceptional, thanks in no small part to these outstanding individuals. Their dedication to excellence made our stay unforgettable, and we can't wait to return!

mixed feelings at all!
duration 1.12.2024 for 10 days!
even i will leave in the late afternoon i had to pay to the checkout time the day after. dont get it. my dougther is leaving 2 days before, and we have to pay the family room for this days... even we could stay in a smaller room.
the room of my doughter has a closed window, so fresh air is only comming when using air cond. if you switch of the AC and sleep with closed door the air gets heavy and hot, and its not ok.
Location: far away from any center/village you need any time for go out a taxitransfer or rental car. no supermarket for food inside or market for personal stuff, hygenical stuff etc.
beach: rocky beach, def. not a recommandation worth. you can enter only in few spots. there are a lot of rocks and plants in the water at the beach. you really need to swimm for long outside to get off of the algues/plants. for kids its not nice to stay in the water with all the plant, you need to swimm out!
north pool (only used this pool!): not celan, a lot of tree leaves, insects. dirty
food: breakfast good, with no all inclusive not worth it.
buffet at the evening is 70euro per person (not worth it) the other restaurants are all good, but small portions!! around more than 50euro for two person for dinner (small portions!) so if you dont have all inclusive the food came out very expensive and not worth for the small portions! never had such an expensive buffet for dinner.
you need to make reservations for dinner in before, otherwise is very difficult. and if you forget, you have to go to the buffet.
once i made a bad experience at the restaurant sengala. asked two times for the dessert card, no stuff member could me bring one. after more than 30min waiting for the dessert card i left the restaurant.
rooms: are very clean
hotel: even if you have half pension or all inclusive you have to sign every consumation
cleaning staff member/room service: very polite and good service
to compare to other resorts i have been, its to expensive, price/quantity is noth worth!
sry but the qualitay i expected for a 5star resort is not that.
