The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. The beach was nice but the ocean was rough. So no water sports. All the bartenders went out of their way to make sure I had my drink, absolute vanilla vodka with tonic water. We had couples massage outside and it was amazing! The only negative for us was getting reservations to the restaurants that required it. Also, kimonos was a big disappointment. Our food was awful. Not sure if it was the chef or what but it’s not what we expected as we have been to Kimonos at other Sandals. All the other restaurants were very good. Loved lunch at Neptune’s. All in all, it was a great vacation!

The positives: the cleaning staff did an excellent job with the room; the service at Butch's Chophouse, Chi, & The Green Room was top notch; the proximity of oceanfront rooms to the pool and ocean was very convenient; the employees at the pool bar, the bar next to the breakfast restaurant, and the beach bar were kind and helpful; the shuttle guide was hilarious; the restaurant area was nice; there was a nice variety of restaurants (though getting reservations was unnecessarily difficult); and the property was clean and well-manicured. With all that said - it was not a 5-star room and was worth nowhere near the price we paid. The safe was broken when we arrived. The phone broke on day 1, and the phone in our friends' room was malfunctioning. Some of the food was excellent - Chi, the Green Room, and some dishes at Butch's Chophouse. The breakfast buffet had good variety. Please fix the orange juice machine. The ocean was extremely rough so that we were barely able to go into it all week. Mainly though, I want to highly emphasize that numerous staff members were unabashadly rude throughout our stay including the daily greeter at the outdoor breakfast restaurant (the manager lady who seated us one day was very kind) and our breakfast server at the rooftop Parisian restaurant, who literally snapped at us multiple times for simply trying to communicate our order and then just refused to bring juice. All six of us noticed how rude many of the staff members were. (As a point of clarification, not one male staff member was rude to my husband and me the entire week.) There is very clearly a major morale issue at this Sandals that to me points to a management issue, and it put a serious damper on our experience. We felt like we were walking on eggshells every day in just trying to get the most basic requests accommodated. If we asked a question or placed an order, would the person ignore us, snap at us, or be kind? We never knew. Dealing with bad attitudes every day was neither relaxing nor worthy of anywhere near the price we were charged. In fact, it felt as though those who were unkind knew we had already paid so they didn't care how they treated us. The restaurant by the pool nearly made our friends miss the shuttle back to the airport despite their being the first to arrive and order. It took 45 minutes to bring their food as everyone else who arrived after they did was served. We have other (non-Sandals) nice Caribbean vacations to which we can compare this one, and the negativity here stands out clearly. I'm so disappointed. We hoped for a different experience and are now quite skeptical of future Sandals resorts unless someone we know who has stayed at one recommends it.

Very clean, well run resort. We were first timers and we were not sure what to expect but we were happy. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for, it was top notch all the way. The food and service were excellent. The waves were rough but I like it like that. The drinks were 5 stars also. Would definitely recommend.

An all-around excellent resort with outstanding service. The employees here are the best we've seen at any Sandals...ALL of them are really friendly and take the time to say hi/good morning/etc. They are quick to respond, and they all seem ready to help out regardless of whether it's their specific job to do so.
- There are plenty of restaurants willing to meet your schedule.
- The food is excellent at all of the restaurants with the exception of Chi Asian Fusion (nice people but lousy menu).
- The beach towels are removed from unused loungers on a fair schedule, and loungers are plentiful at the beach and the pools.
- Finally, a special thanks to housekeeping (our room was kept nicely clean, and the fridge was well stocked with all of the items that we asked for).
The only negative comment might be that the beach is not good for swimming or snorkeling. The view is absolutely beautiful, it's really nice to walk on, there are plenty of shade trees and umbrellas, and beach vendors are kept safely off property by security. It's just not a swimmer's beach.

This was our third trip to Sandals Royal Barbados and it is simply the best of all the resorts we have been to so far! The resort is clean, the beach is beautiful, so many restaurants to choose from, a lot of pools or beaches with all different vibes to enjoy, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure your experience is top notch. Every meal we ate was fantastic and the butlers especially Tony and Treymane went out of their way to ensure we had the most amazing experience. From handling reservations for dinner, setting us up at the pool, ti arranging our excursions- they took all the hassle out of the trip. The rooms were always clean and set with flowers and decorated when we returned to the room and there was always a show or some entertainment to enjoy. Hands down Sandals Barbados is the place to go!
