We loved this hotel! One of the best stays ever. I stayed with my 12 year old son. The building is amazing and so are the surroundings. Location is very good, a short walk to many sights and other areas of the town. A good variety of different kinds of restaurants nearby. The only thing we found frustrating was the very slow customer service by email. I never got an answer to my questions asked before our stay. Also the downstairs pool should be heated, the water was very cold even when the sun was shining.

My stay at Santa Catalin was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance of this historic hotel—it truly has the charm and atmosphere of an old grand hotel, where tradition meets luxury in the best way possible. The rooms are beautifully designed with classic touches that make you feel like you're stepping into another era, yet with all the modern comforts you could ask for (loved the hidden TV!).
Service at check-in was flawless, and a special thank you to Eduardo, who made me feel incredibly welcome from the very first moment. His professionalism and warmth set the tone for my entire stay. Big thanks also to Sonya (?) who helped me at the reception during my stay. The service at the bar was equally superb. The breakfast buffet was another highlight—rich with a variety of fresh options, including delicious pastries, cheeses, fruits, and more. The quality and selection were truly impressive. The only slight disappointment was the absence of bananas, which was a bit surprising given the location. Another standout feature was the wellness area—truly top-notch! I had a volcanic hot stone massage, which was very relaxing. The hydrotherapy circuit was also a fantastic experience, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. - I would absolutely stay here again—a true gem in Gran Canaria!

The hotel is set in a beautiful garden setting which creates a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. It is, however, a bit away the tourist areas. The staff, housekeeping, restaurants, and facilities, are very good. All requests are looked after promptly. A special thank you to the reception personnel; with a stellar young lady, Sara, who went out of her way to provide us excellent accommodation.

We were there as siblings for 10 days in January 2024. We stayed in one of the suites. Unfortunately, it was almost impossible to get a second comforter. Instead, we were given a wafer-thin sheet. So we took it and brought it to reception in the entrance area. The staff seemed visibly uncomfortable. About 5 minutes later, we had the right thing for the last couple of days.
We had been looking forward to exclusive use of the roof terrace. Unfortunately, contrary to expectations, this was only exclusive by the hour. At other times, it is accessible to all guests, even external guests who are not staying at the hotel and just having a drink there.
Overall, we disliked the way the staff treated us. The staff were very arrogant towards us. We may not have been wanted? Other guests were heavily courted. All information about the hotel and the possible uses had to be requested in a very complicated manner as if they wouldn't like to gibe us the information we asked for. As a result, the staff were mediocre rather than luxurious. Only one man at reception, who also spoke German (as the hotel also advertises), was very courteous and friendly to us.
The location of the hotel very close to a main road is not very idyllic. The suite was very noisy inside from bathroom to bed. Even as a couple, privacy would not be particularly guaranteed with all that glass.
We hope that at least the staff will take this criticism to heart and work on themselves. Even after a year, the memories have not yet faded. You need polite guests like us, we don't need you. Just think about it.

It looks like a four season hotel. We were upgraded to a deluxe suite. Our room is so beautiful and I slept very well. The staff and service are wonderful. The morning buffet is delicious. We will be back here if we ever visit Las Palmas again.
