My husband and I just got back from our 7 night honeymoon at Secrets! Our stay was incredible! The food is delicious and the staff are extremely friendly! Jhonny, Adela, and Ariel were phenomenal and they went above and beyond to help make our stay even better! The location is beautiful but a few downfalls are having to travel 20-30 min to get to the beach club, as well as having a long travel time with scheduling any excursions through the hotel. Otherwise, we absolutely loved this resort and will definitely be coming back soon!

We stayed 5 nights here and had such a great time! The room was so spacious and beautiful. The staff was amazing and so helpful. The restaurants all had really good food and we loved the coco cafe for coffee every morning. They had fun events planned throughout the day/ night and we were able to do a few. The beach club which has a shuttle running every half hour was so nice we spent most days there. Overall such a great experience we will be back!

This resort opened in the Fall of 2023 and a year later, when I spent 5 nights here, it was apparent that management has a lot of work yet to do to make this a real “5 star”experience.
It’s beautifully designed and very modern in its aesthetic, yet the way finding signage needs work. People walk around in (literal) circles because of how the hotel is designed trying to find their way.
If you care about lighting when grooming in a bathroom this hotel is not for you. The lighting is small, overhead fixtures designed to accentuate the architectural elements of the bathrooms and not the humans in them.
Also if you are sharing a room with a friend or relative who you do not want to see you showering, this hotel is not for you. There are no doors to the bathroom only the toilet closet. The shower is glass.
Speaking of shower, it flooded into the bathroom and it was 3+ hours before anyone cleaned up the mess.
Upon check-in they did not have the room I pre-purchased available. I bought a swim-out 2 bed room. They only had a king size bed for us that night. The next day they gave us a 2 bed room, but it was not a swim out and to make up for the cost difference they gave us “premium membership” benefits, which ultimately did not make up for the lack of having the swim out that I paid for. I found all premium benefits (special restaurants, area at the beach club, better alcohol brands) to be the same if not worse than the basic experience of being at the resort.
The spa … staff walked in on us as we were undressing to change into robes. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think a man should be walking female guests into the female changing area. The hydrotherapy treatment was awkward. I was paired with a stranger to work through the circuit together. It was a series of 5 minute stations where we were blasted with cold water, then dry sauna, steam room, rubbing crushed ice on ourselves (really) and immersion in a very loud pool with various high pressure water devices. At no point was any of it relaxing and putting on a cold, damp robe (from hydro treatment preceding a massage) was just the frosting on the cake.
There were a lot of other subpar experiences at this resort. We were told our spa service would be complimentary because of all the problems, but upon checkout we were forced to pay for it.
For what I paid for this resort, I expected a lot better.
The ONLY good thing was I felt the service staff were kind and friendly. They made effort. Fernando who works at the beach club bar was attentive and made amazing drinks. He was great. Management was not.

I recently stayed at this all-inclusive hotel in Tulum, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The staff were unprofessional and often vague, creating confusion about what services were actually included. We were given a voucher with promises that it could be used for ‘any type of service or a la carte dining,’ which turned out to be misleading and unhelpful.
Despite what they charge, the hotel is far from the beach, and the shuttle service was uncomfortable and took way too long. If you’re looking for easy beach access, you’d be much better off staying at a resort closer to the shore.
Room service was terrible, and the food quality left a lot to be desired. Additionally, the alcohol served felt diluted, like they were cutting corners on quality. Overall, this place is not worth the money. Avoid at all costs if you’re looking for an enjoyable, hassle-free Tulum experience.

Ariel led our bike tour and was very knowledgeable and charismatic! He was able to talk at length about Mayan history and showed us ancient Mayan artifacts that surrounded the resort. Thank you Ariel!
The rest of the resort was very nice and accommodating. The food options were good.
