Secrets Tulum is an absolutely exceptional place! Our stay here was a dream come true – from luxurious interiors to exquisite food and an incredible staff that makes you feel at home.
The food at the hotel is top-notch, and the real gem is the Grotto restaurant in the Preferred section – a true culinary delight. Unfortunately, Olio falls a bit short compared to the other restaurants and could use some improvement, but overall, the dining experience is outstanding.
The rooms? Beautiful, spacious, and impeccably clean! The housekeeping and turndown service are flawless – a true attention to detail and the highest level of hospitality.
But what truly makes this place magical is the people! Danielle from the Jasmine and Grotto restaurants is a warm and welcoming presence, always greeting guests with a genuine smile. Natalia – she absolutely deserves a promotion! Her attentiveness, positive energy, and keen eye for detail make every guest feel special. You can talk to her for hours, and her smile will stay in our hearts for a long time!
The Beach Club in the Preferred section is a peaceful oasis – there’s always a comfortable lounger available, and the food and cocktails are of great quality. Mike ensures everything runs smoothly – always ready to help and quick to solve any issues.
A special thank you also goes to Alejandro, our concierge, who made our stay perfect. He took care of every detail with dedication, and when I needed medical assistance, he waited for me outside the doctor’s office with concern and care.
And the true highlight is Fernando – the Guest Satisfaction Manager. He is the right person for the job! Any issue was resolved instantly, and we felt completely taken care of. We can’t wait to return and be his guests again – because being a guest under Fernando’s care is an experience on another level!

I felt the service and attention could be better. We stayed in a Master suite swim-out and the room was beautiful and huge. I can honestly say that in the resort itself, not the beach club, the staff was 2/5. They would walk by you and not even say hi or good morning. Having been to other Secret’s, they usually provide exceptional service (Antonio in the preferred pool was good). At times it felt very under staffed and when asking for help(access to preferred areas, availability of food)the staff was clueless. In the Beach Club however Gaspar and Edgar were super attentive and went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Having a preferred room not one time did we ever meet our concierge Alonso. I reached out to him because our room didn’t have the secrets beach bag they always provide and he only sent the day activities one day. The property is very nice and having access to the beach club made it even better. The food was ok. The best thing was the breakfast daily at Jasmine. If I were to come back I would prefer to stay at the beach side property.

Jasmin and Bluewater Grill was great too! While Olio could use some improvements, the overall dining experience at the resort is phenomenal.
The rooms are not only spacious and beautifully designed but also maintained to the highest standard. Housekeeping and turndown service are flawless, with every detail attended to with care and precision. We stayed at Junior Suite Tropical View Preffered Club.

Loved my experience at the secrets tulum. Most importantly, the food and alcohol were probably an 8 1/2 or nine out of 10. The hospitality there was a 10 out of 10. The nightly entertainment was tons of fun and kept our group thoroughly entertained. You do have to ride a shuttle bus over to the beach club that was never an issue as they ran all day and you could go whenever you pleased. The beach club was a really cool set up where you could eat and drink there. Sit in the shade near the pool or on the actual beach. There are so many pools at the resort you may get lost. The resort is massive. The spa was lovely. I had a facial and the gentleman who gave it to me. Did an exceptionally great job. We will travel back to this resort, especially since you don’t always find good food and good alcohol at all inclusive resorts.

3.5 Stars. I don't think this is a 5 Star Resort
We stayed at Secrets Tulum and guess it was what we expected after reading the reviews. Staff was very friendly but after traveling all day, the last thing you want is a 15 minute sales presentation on "credits" to be used at the resort. These are just coupons...like $60 off a $260 massage which costs $50 on the beach. Very, very irritating way to start the stay.
The food was pretty good in our opinion but specialty drinks were too sugary, weak and not made with real fruit, Ariel in the sports bar was kind enough to dial up a game for me to watch. It was a bit or work and appreciated but after accidentally leaving a pull over of my favorite team behind, it was never returned. I checked security multiple times without luck. Not cool.
The shuttle to the beach was fine and not a surprise since we read that this resort wasn't on the beach. Beach was very nice and food available. Probably the best part of the stay. There were several groups of heavy drinkers for the entire day and loud to wee hours in the morning at times but also not a surprise. This is a apparently a problem since we had to sign a "behavior contract" a check in which allowed the resort to expel guests if they get too unruly.
