my stay wasn’t very pleasant. From the time of check in and the full day of my stay. We had to wait hours to check in and after talking/speaking with a woman named Amanda she had got us a room very quickly almost around 4. We were tired and hot from our flight and had to wait almost 6 hours to even get a room! I requested birthday room accommodations prior to being there, it wasn’t there they brung it after we stated it wasn’t there to the operator. When being in the room it wasn’t properly set up or cleaned, going to the bar the frozen drinks weren’t up to par and tasted very watered down. When by the pool on this pass Saturday the pool guy stated they all were short staffed, what does that have to do with my stay here when I’m paying hard earn money to be here to celebrate my friends birthday, everything we did that was fun or good was off the property. Our room was only made up & “cleaned” one time. The food wasn’t good, not even at the world cafe. Very disappointed in the food. Room service was a hit or miss and when the house keeping came she didn’t replace the towels accordingly and the room wasn’t properly dusted. I would really like a portion of my money back because what this place advertises on it wasn’t delivered. They also had a strike on the property and it doesn’t seem like things went back to normal after that. You can’t satisfy everyone but this experience at this property was terrible and I will never be back.

Best resort I've ever stayed at. The location is right on the beach. The staff is so nice and accommodating. I didn't want to leave. Make sure you ask for Mr Love if you need a lift on the golf cart. The food was delicious and the drinks were never ending. Something to do each day at the pool. 10/10 recommend you book this place.

Overall a good stay. I went for my first anniversary. The resort employees knew this, though our room did not have any celebratory offerings which was unfortunate. I walked past several rooms that had happy birthday signage or anniversary signage on the door so I wondered why we got missed.
Upon arrival, Check in was a nightmare. We kept being promised “30 more minutes” and waited almost an extra 2 hours before we had our room. No one at the front desk had an honest answer for us, they would just begin calling someone and then walk away or attend to someone else without giving us an answer.
The AC in the main lobby and elevators did not work. A worker told us it’s because the resort is being cheap. Considering how much we paid for our stay, I would expect AC indoors when the weather is 30 degrees outside.
Once we finally got our room, we found the room was well cleaned. I appreciated that there is a turn down service where the housekeeper comes and makes your bed again. I would wish that they would stock up your clean towels when cleaning; this was something you had to request on your own and at times it would take forever. One instance I called 3 different times because they kept bringing me a small hand towel when I was very specific with requesting a body/shower towel.
The TV in the room did not have screen mirroring and chrome cast working even though it’s supposed to be an option. The beds were very comfortable and room I had (junior with partial ocean view) was fairly big.
As for staff and service, Staff for the most part were very kind and gave us no issues.
Food selections were great. We loved the Barefoot grill for authentic jerk chicken and patties.
The speciality restaurants were also very good. Drinks were decent but kind of watered down.. The beach was private and smaller than what I’m used to, but overall was clean. Lots of lounge chair options with/without shade which I liked. Beach was lovely.
I would visit Jamaica again.

Just came back from my stay at Secrets Wild Orchid. We got to the hotel at 2.45pm and got our room at 4.45pm - whole two hours later. When we got into the room, we saw it had hair on the floor and there was crisps on the floor next to the bed. We waited around an hour to get the room cleaned once we complained. To be fair we did get $200 off the gift shop for our troubles but our room being dirty and the delay in getting our room didn’t get our experience off to the best start.
Housekeeping department could be better, they just brushed me aside on the first day and said speak to reception when I asked my room to be moped and cleaned.
I must say thanks to Kevan at the front desk, he was always there to help and was the one to offered the $200 off the gift shop.

Since the day of our arrival we have experienced issues. The first issue was the mold/mildew smell in the room. Upon searching throughout the room ourselves we noticed it was mold on the bed spread that we had to sleep on. The room also smelled like cleaning supplies mixed with a dirty mop smell. We also paid for ocean view and did not get that at all our view was the back of the restaurant.
Day 1 we went to the check in desk and explained the issues and was told they were unable to accommodate us with another room at that time and we needed to wait until the next day.
Day 2 - we had no contact from no one at the hotel in regards to a room change. We went about our normal vacation day and waited to still be contacted.
The remainder of the vacation we waited for someone to still contact us that never happened the supervisor Shavoy Williams continued to avoid us at all cost by hiding in the back and not speaking with us at no cost we saw her she would disappear. She placed a letter under our door after seeing us enter the hotel instead of speaking with us and avoiding the issues she placed the attached letter under the door and when I called was still unable to speak with her up until check out.
This is a tremendous issue we slept with mold our entire stay and the smell of sewage!
They basically gave me a slap in the face and took $100 off a bottle that was ordered and charged to our room but I still paid a large amount for my stay sleeping in mold the whole entire stay.
I am a traveler and this is the worst experience I have ever had thus far i see why the workers complained the entire time and just came back from strike the day prior to our arrival and was planning to do one again the workers even complained about the lack of services they were providing the customers because they are not being paid they lacked customer service and they didn’t acknowledge the fact nothing was done about it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here the amount of money we paid you can vacation somewhere else better for lower and not sleep in mold! So unacceptable!!!
