Good old school charm, but felt a bit outdated.
Overall, food was excellent and was a complete stand-out experience in this resort.
Rooms were Large and fine!
Service could be a bit more welcoming and attentive in the pool area.

We had a great stay at The Danna in November. We stayed at the marina view room which was perfect: very clean, the bed was comfy with plenty of pillows to chose from, the bathroom was very spacious and was equipped with Jo Malone toiletries. The swimming pool is huge so never felt crowded. The beach was very well maintained although it had red flag out for the most of our stay due to jellyfish. If you book via hotel's website you can use sport equipment (kayak, paddle board) for free, otherwise you pay a small fee.
The breakfast was great: plenty of choice of Indian, continental and oriental cuisine - our favourite was a fish curry. The hotel has several restaurants - we particularly enjoyed the italian one (great fried seafood and fantastic pizza and pasta). Service was very pleasant although a bit chaotic during breakfast time. The hotel is a 15 min drive from the airport and a 5 min drive to Langkawi bridge gondola station. There is plenty of parking space in front of the hotel. Our return flight was departing in the evening and we were allowed to checkout late. Overall the stay was great - very relaxing and hassle free - and we would definitely visit again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Dana Hotel with a large group, including kids. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The customer service was truly outstanding. Every interaction, whether at the lobby, buffet, or restaurant, was met with a smile and a willingness to help.
The food was delicious, and the variety offered at the buffet was impressive.
What truly sets The Dana Hotel apart, however, is its exceptional staff. Their warm hospitality and dedication to ensuring our stay was nothing short of fantastic.
I highly recommend The Dana Hotel to anyone seeking a top-notch hotel experience. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

Congratulations to the management and staff of this hotel.
The hotel is definitely right up there amongst the best hotels in Malaysia. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. The overall service is superb and made you feel comfortable without being intrusive. No matter where you are throughout the hotel, the service level and friendliness is very evident which really shows that the staff are well trained and probably well taken care of by the management.
The hotel has amazing views of the sea which gives you a very calm and peaceful stay there. It is also not crowded and you can really relax and enjoy all the restaurants and facilities without being rushed.
Will definitely come back whenever we are back in Langkawi.

A great hotel to be sure. Excellent pool. The highlight I think are the staff so friendly, genuinely friendly. Always ready to help. Nice bar for early evening cocktails and an easy listening band or singer. Rooms are very quiet and beds comfortable. We slept in every morning. The onsite Italian restaurant is also excellent. Well worth a visit one evening. Good mine selection. Some out of the ordinary excellent vintages.
