From the moment we arrived at The Westin Langkawi, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We were greeted by our assigned driver, Luqman, who provided seamless airport transfers both upon arrival and departure. The hospitality at the resort was outstanding—Farah at reception was warm and welcoming, making the experience feel truly personalised. She was incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations like the night markets and assisting with any arrangements we needed. The Suite was spacious and beautifully maintained, offering a breathtaking view. The pool area was fantastic, providing the perfect place to relax. One of the standout features was the private airport lounge, which was an absolute luxury—it provided a comfortable space to wait for our flight with complimentary food and drinks. Every detail at The Westin Langkawi made our stay truly memorable, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and stress-free stay in Langkawi!

I had a very disappointing experience at The Westin Langkawi. After a 10-hour flight, I arrived exhausted, only to be given a dark, basement-like “garden” room that was actually facing a hill and smelled strongly of mold. It was far from the standard expected from a Westin property. When I raised my concerns, they made us check another room— which was already occupied! Eventually, they found a room that was acceptable, but it wasn’t clean. We had to wait at least two more hours for it to be prepared, meaning we didn’t have a proper place to rest until very late in the evening. To make matters worse, the night manager showed no empathy— no apology, no offer of a complimentary drink, nothing. We ended up waiting at the bar/restaurant and having an early dinner while exhausted. By the time we finally got into our room, it was already past 8 PM. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected at least some level of service and recognition, but instead, I got the worst room and indifferent treatment. For $400 a night, you’d get a suite in Dubai or KL . Would I return? Absolutely not!

Mixed reviews for this property. I stayed over a super busy period so I understand how hectic things can get so let me begin with the great… Spectacular views, very helpful staff who are always smiling. Nice quiet beach. Great pool.m and well maintained grounds. Westin lounge at the domestic airport is nice perk too. Now on to what needs improvement. Needs renovation urgently. Mattress was sunken such that I had a feeling I would roll off the bed most times and struggled to sleep over a three night stay. Bathroom was 🙃😳. The plumbing was noisy and stains in some areas. In general this is a three star stay and should I return to langkawi, I’d definitely go to a newer hotel or different brand

This hotel was recommended to us by our travel agent as a place to unwind after touring Singapore, Sydney and New Zealand for five weeks. The Westin did not disappoint… the location is fabulous, the room was large, the food excellent and the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. A very special mention to Estelle and Tijn on the front desk who were quite simply delightful from the first point of meeting at check in to the end of our week’s holiday when they came out to wave us off in our taxi. These two young people are an absolute credit to the Westin Hotel. We will be back.
