Getting here may take a little longer – but for anyone dreaming of a Maldives escape straight out of a travel brochure, this is the place to be. The resort is nothing short of breathtaking: pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and an atmosphere of pure serenity. What truly sets this destination apart is the staff. Every team member, from the hotel to the restaurant, goes above and beyond to ensure each guest enjoys an unforgettable stay. Their warmth and attentiveness create a sense of genuine hospitality that’s hard to find. A special mention goes to Hafiz at the restaurant. From day one, he anticipated our every wish with incredible kindness and professionalism. His presence added a personal touch that made each meal feel even more special. We were also lucky to enjoy perfect weather throughout our stay – sunshine, calm seas, and stunning sunsets. If you're seeking a luxurious, romantic, and truly idyllic Maldivian experience, look no further. This is paradise found.

An Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Care and Service Our stay at The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah was truly incredible, not just because of the stunning beauty and hospitality, but because of the genuine care shown by the staff during a difficult moment. During the early stages of my pregnancy, I unfortunately developed a respiratory infection. The resort’s on-site doctor, Dr. Priyanka, was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. She took the time to carefully monitor my condition, explain everything clearly, and ensure I felt comfortable and safe throughout my recovery. Her compassion and expertise made a world of difference and allowed us to continue enjoying our holiday with peace of mind. The entire resort team also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for. Thank you to Dr. Priyanka and everyone at for turning what could have been a stressful experience into a reassuring and memorable one. Amazing service by the entire staff, really made our honeymoon special! Even prepared a surprise for us in our final night. Incredible massages at the spa and so was the food. All of this without talking about the breathtaking scenery.

This hotel is simply not a 5-star property and not worth the money. From a European perspective, nothing meets true 5-star standards, and I honestly can’t understand the many positive reviews. Positives: • The staff extremely friendly and try their best (thank you!) • Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean (big plus) • The spa massages are excellent (big call out here!) Negatives: • The food is extremely poor. Most of it is “European-themed” (Italian, Greek, etc.) but close to inedible — both at the main buffet and in the so-called specialty restaurants. The only halfway decent option is the poolside café, which serves fried dishes and a fairly good (though not authentic) Greek salad. • The main buffet restaurant has the vibe of an old, mass-market all-inclusive resort — basic, outdated décor, crowded layout, and a cafeteria-like feel that’s far from 5-star. • The island itself is the opposite of an eco resort — it’s almost a showcase of how to strip nature away to make space for as many rooms as possible. Vegetation is overly trimmed, smaller plants and bushes are constantly cleared, and there’s virtually no wildlife. It feels manufactured rather than natural. • The location is very remote, and the hotel books guests on domestic flights with long, uncomfortable waits (we waited 3 hours; others up to 6) in a low-quality “lounge” which smells of mold. You effectively lose an entire day of your holiday just getting there and spend it waiting in the worst place possible. Ironically, the same (not so small) planes fly directly over the island multiple times a day — so it hardly feels remote or secluded once you arrive. • The resort is overrun with Asian tourist groups taking selfies and TikToks around the clock in common areas — not exactly relaxing. • Drinks could be good, but most are mixed with syrup-based juices and overly sweet. If this would be a 4 star all inclusive on a Spanish island and a third of the price, I would not mind at all - but for the price tag and the ambition of 5 stars and “luxury” resort it is not living up to its promise.

Had a wonderful 5D4N at the resort. Everything was perfect. The resort staffs were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Hafiz who is always so friendly and smiley which makes our visit to The Dining Room feel so warm.
