My recommendation is not to stay at this resort, they are terrible with how the deal with customer service issues. I have emailed their directors and not had any responses. Even senior directors don’t get back to you.
There are better places to visit and better services. They don’t even have a good beach.
Now i will dispute things which i have recordings off and pictures. Worst experiences of my life.

Incredible. The room (water villa) was large and clean with an amazing view (sunset side). The staff were excellent and very helpful with any questions and requests. The food was generally very good: the food was excellent at The Falhumaa (French) and Long Island (Italian), the food was really good with wide variety at the Beach Bars and Dining Rooms. We didn't enjoy the food at Li Bai (Cantonese) despite normally enjoying such cuisine. True luxury

My husband and I came to the Residence for the ultimate wedding, honeymoon, getaway and we were not disappointed. From arrival to departure, we have zero complaints. Excellent hospitality, excellent food and drink options, and endless opportunities for adventure. The sea life will not disappoint, at all! We did the standard all inclusive and stayed in villa 300. Joynal went above and beyond any need or expectation. And truly our entire experience was beyond expectations. We definitely did not feel like strangers. As for our wedding, we had gloomy days that just didn't fit a 'Maldivian ceremony '. There was no worries waiting for the perfect sunshine day. When that day came, it was a dream come true. We are so incredibly thankful and look forward to seeing our friends at the residence again!

We had booked the Residence as the final part of our honeymoon trip for a bit of R&R and it delivered exactly that. We had 4 nights stay which we instantly regretted not booking longer!
Yes the travelling does take a while but you forget all of that by the time you arrive on the island. From the offset you are made to feel very welcomed and important. It is the luxury you would expect.
We had a water pool villa near the end of the east side jetty which was amazing for the views and watching the ocean and sea life. We did hear that the far side of the island villas get more sealife from their villa than what we did which my partner was gutted about. But that didn't affect our stay! Huge villas with everything you need really.
The staff are wonderfully attentive and couldn't do more for you.
The food was great, for a small resort we thought there was great choice, although the dinning room on the other island did have better choice. The French restaurant was lovely however on the night we visited it was very slow service - we had this included in our package however if it was not included it seemed quite expensive.
The resort itself is well looked after, all staff are busy and look after you well.
Highly recommended and hopefully come back to visit soon!

My boyfriend gifted me a trip to the Maldives for my 27th Birthday and I chose The Residence at Falhumaafushi and it couldn't be more perfect. Everything was outstanding from the start. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and incredibly nice. They recognized us by name and knew exactly who we were at the airport when picking us up. They decorated our room like a honeymoon, super romantic and memorable. We stayed at the deluxe overwater bungalow, and the view and location are worth every penny. The food was so delicious as well, from the breakfast buffet to the private dinning on the beach. I wanted to cry when we had to leave but we will definitely come back!! I cannot recommend enough for couples, you will have the best time of your life with your loved one.
