The staff here are fabulous and go way beyond their duty. They can't do too.much for you ,
My husband lost my camera while snorkeling off the beach and the reception staff got in touch with the diving centre and they went looking for it twice for us .didn't find it but so good of them to try . We only mentioned it to reception incase anyone found it and handed it in.
If any niggles we had which was small , is they do tend to cancel a few things at shirt notice for private events , the movie night in the beach wasn't good as they put a french film on that even the French walked off and didn't watch. Plus most of the restaurants are on the other island . Dighura . The staff on that island are not very helpful or as friendly. And definitely not as welcoming.
The spa on falhumaafushi was wonderful.
Water villa with pool was amazing but just to be aware of on the sunrise side the current is quite strong so if you're not a strong swimmer I wouldn't recommend going snorkeling from the room .

Incredible. The room (water villa) was large and clean with an amazing view (sunset side). The staff were excellent and very helpful with any questions and requests. The food was generally very good: the food was excellent at The Falhumaa (French) and Long Island (Italian), the food was really good with wide variety at the Beach Bars and Dining Rooms. We didn't enjoy the food at Li Bai (Cantonese) despite normally enjoying such cuisine. True luxury

My husband and I came to the Residence for the ultimate wedding, honeymoon, getaway and we were not disappointed. From arrival to departure, we have zero complaints. Excellent hospitality, excellent food and drink options, and endless opportunities for adventure. The sea life will not disappoint, at all! We did the standard all inclusive and stayed in villa 300. Joynal went above and beyond any need or expectation. And truly our entire experience was beyond expectations. We definitely did not feel like strangers. As for our wedding, we had gloomy days that just didn't fit a 'Maldivian ceremony '. There was no worries waiting for the perfect sunshine day. When that day came, it was a dream come true. We are so incredibly thankful and look forward to seeing our friends at the residence again!

My boyfriend gifted me a trip to the Maldives for my 27th Birthday and I chose The Residence at Falhumaafushi and it couldn't be more perfect. Everything was outstanding from the start. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and incredibly nice. They recognized us by name and knew exactly who we were at the airport when picking us up. They decorated our room like a honeymoon, super romantic and memorable. We stayed at the deluxe overwater bungalow, and the view and location are worth every penny. The food was so delicious as well, from the breakfast buffet to the private dinning on the beach. I wanted to cry when we had to leave but we will definitely come back!! I cannot recommend enough for couples, you will have the best time of your life with your loved one.

Stayed here for 10 nights this July and honestly ….. wow! This place was amazing from start to end, I highly rate all the staff and facilities, the perfect place for our honeymoon. The food in the French restaurant was to die for I honestly don’t think I have tasted better food than what they serve in that restaurant. I never caught the name of the host who greeted us on the island when we first arrived but his customer service was exceptional throughout the holiday. Also I would like to mention Ravi from the dining room staff, he dealt with our private in room dining for my birthday which was absolutely amazing and one last mention for Francis, he filled our mini bar daily, again his customer service was exceptional and really went out his way for us. Obviously all your staff were amazing but those three really stood out for us, I hope they see this review.
