My husband and I stayed at the Tivoli in Carvoeiro for our honeymoon, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning — especially from the pool area, which overlooks a beautiful cave and the ocean. Our suite was modern, spacious, and well-designed, and the room service was excellent. We also had a fantastic couples massage at the spa, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, even helping us organize a boat tour one day. A couple of small downsides: the pool chairs tend to fill up very early in the morning, with many guests unofficially "reserving" spots hours before actually using them, which was a bit frustrating. And surprisingly, the bed in our suite wasn’t very comfortable — it felt like a spring mattress where you could actually feel the springs. Aside from those details, everything else was top-notch. The service, amenities, and setting make Tivoli Carvoeiro a truly beautiful place to stay. We’d happily return.

We had an unforgettable stay at Tivoli Resort, thanks to the incredible customer service. I especially want to thank Mariana and Luminita at the guest service desk. During our stay, I had a sudden health issue that required an emergency visit. Since we don’t speak Portuguese, Luminita immediately called multiple hospitals on my behalf, spending over an hour until she found a private hospital in Faro that could see me. She even lent me her personal phone so I could reach my insurance company in Canada. The next day, when I needed a follow-up appointment, Mariana kindly helped me again by contacting the insurance company to make sure everything was approved. Later, when we checked out, we realized there was a mistake on our flight ticket. Mariana patiently contacted the airline and airport until the issue was solved. The service here was beyond exceptional—every staff member we met was professional, patient, and truly guest-oriented. The resort itself is stunning, with the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen at a hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with high-quality food and even champagne to enjoy. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

This was a beautiful hotel. The views are amazing. The beds are comfortable and room is spacious with a balcony. The breakfast was very good with champagne, fresh omlets and pastries. It’s a short walk to town or they offer a free tuk tuk. I highly recommend booking direct to receive discounts. The staff was very friendly.

We are staying for 4 nights at Tivoli Carvoeiro! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were super welcoming, and even our dog felt right at home. Check-in was quick and easy. We had lunch at Mare twice – the view is absolutely stunning. Big shoutout to Mafalda from Alentejo, she was so kind and polite, and recommended a fantastic bottle of wine from her hometown that we loved. The only downside was that the food took almost an hour to come out, but the setting made up for it. The area around the hotel is beautiful – you could honestly sit on your terrace all day just enjoying the view. The rooms have everything you need, but for me, they felt a little plain (lots of white walls and white furnitures). Overall, we’d definitely recommend staying here. Can imagine it gets really busy during high season, but it’s absolutely worth it!

We stayed at the Tivoli Algarve in a Deluxe with Ocean View and Terrace for our honeymoon. It was the most expensive hotel we booked per night, on our trip throughout Portugal. It was the ONLY hotel we stayed at in Portugal that didn’t acknowledge our honeymoon in anyway, or our baby. (All our other hotels gifted baby a little stuffed animal and ourselves champagne and other treats). The rooms were gorgeous but the AC did not work our room and was 25 degrees throughout our stay and we woke up sweating. We did approach the front desk with this issue and they did not seem to care and the AC never did cool our room for our stay. We also arrived to our beds separated which I understand to be common throughout Europe, however every other hotel had them made together for our arrival. We were absolutely shocked the poor service at the pool, we had to ask multiple staff for drinks and service multiple times. The first day my husband had to walk to the bar 3x to ask for a beer before being severed, despite multiple servers walking around no one would stop to acknowledge us. On day 2 by the pool every server we flagged down did not speak English and had to get another server to help. It ended up being a very poor poolside service and we found it a bit difficult to communicate. We loved the location and the views were stunning. Shout out to Ricardo the door man he was absolutely impeccable and we really enjoyed running in to him from our first moment to the last!
