Best vacation ever! We visited the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya to celebrate our anniversary and a friend's birthday. It was the perfect place to just disconnect from reality for six days and five nights. And it's so nice when a resort staff knows what they're doing. Every little detail was cared for and followed--from a true "all-inclusive" experience to the staff being punctual when scheduling something. The pools were excellent. We loved the adults-only aspect of the resort, which was so lovely (no kids allowed, thankfully). The food at every restaurant was amazing: Breakfast at the buffet, food truck for lunch, and formal dining in the evening. Even the smell of the lobby was alluring. I loved just sitting in there and just taking in the essence of it all.
All in all, this was the perfect resort for spending time with friends and my wife. Even better was the price: all-in with a deluxe suite, we paid around $2,300. It was worth every penny!

Honestly pretty bummed with how our experience was. The staff is very friendly. The dress code rules are pretty ridiculous. I understand dress code for dinner but to have people turned away for breakfast and lunch is a little much. There are no shorts allowed in any of the restaurants besides the breakfast buffet and the breakfast place by the beach from what I saw. The food was sub par besides the sushi and lunch food trucks. Feels like the resort is trying to cater to everyone’s taste when they need to just focus on making good food with a good menu. The portions are extremely small. For the money that you are paying you should be stuffed at the end of dinner but seems like every meal I could have put down another entree. The beach is pretty rough. At the waters edge it’s pretty much all rock so even tho the weather prevented us from getting in the water when it’s calm you’re not really able to relax in the ocean unless you go past that rocky part. Our room was awkward as the toilet was just open behind a glass door so even though you may be with your partner I’m sure you don’t want to hear everything they are doing on the toilet. And you will since the only thing between you and the bathroom is a shear curtain. The excursions were worth the money but that’s what really made our trip. You can only sit in the pool and day drink for so long if there is no access to swim in the ocean. Day beds are $50 a day unless you purchase in advance which is around $70 per person a day but that also includes other perks. The Italian restaurant was not good. The chefs table experience at the Italian restaurant was okay but you get seated with a bunch of people you don’t know. The Mexican restaurant was not good. The Japanese restaurant was good but we only had the sushi. There’s smart tvs in the rooms but you are unable to stream. The vibe of the resort is very nice. It’s very natural with lots of wildlife and nice natural landscaping. Unfortunately would not return or recommended unless you really enjoy the all inclusive experience but you could get bored fast.

Beach was nice with no algae, but had large rocks. Wear water shoes or just stay in the Pool.
Pool was awesome.
Service was fantastic. Lucy was the best drink getter at the pool. Manuel was right behind her. The others were nice, but not as efficient.
Breakfast buffet was a very big let-down. Not good food. They need a chef cooking omelets and breakfast burritos. Or just a better chef in the back. The food was bland and forgettable. Looking around, every table was disappointed.
Lunch Trucks were good if you get the steak tacos or chicken nachos. Don't waste time on a burger or chicken tacos.
Dinners were really good if you made the right selections. Mexican Pizza at Italian restaurant was excellent. French food escargot stuffed mushrooms were delicious. Mexican food restaurant El Hacienda was a HUGE letdown. It was bland and not even close to good. We were all very disappointed by this since we were in Mexico.
Hotel staff and grounds were very nice.
Spa- get Rubi and Suzy. They were the best for sure.

I truly enjoyed my stay here Dora was so hospitable and funny and made our stay memorable. We also enjoyed Issac as our server he was kind and made sure we had everything we needed.
Only thing was the weather it was a storm so I wouldn’t recommend traveling in October but even though it was raining the staff made sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely need to come back.

It was very grand and formal. The staff was super nice and always trying to take care of you. Our room was a very good size and comfortable. The property was beautiful. The food was very delicious. While we spent much of our time at the beach, the pool was huge with many activities and a swim-up bar. There was also a smaller quieter pool. Beach attendants were constantly taking our orders. The palapas on the beach were big shady and plentiful. Lots of fun, colorful shells to find. The staff gives you a website when you check in with the activities for the day, menus at the restaurants, and who was celebrating birthdays, honeymoons, etc. The distance between the airport and the resort was around 30 minutes. The resort arranged our transportation. The cons were: men had to wear pants to dinner, no shorts allowed. Every meal the staff asks you several questions and seats you so there was no quick run-up to get food and get back to the beach. Everything took time. Especially the check-in took us an hour and a half! The staff does its best but the beach is sandy and rocky. So wear beach shoes getting into the water. The property spread out. There's a lot of walking around but there are also a lot of golf carts also running around to assist you. Overall, We would highly recommend this resort!
