Amazing trip! I have severe allergies to gluten and nuts, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. The service was truly outstanding — absolutely a 5-star experience. The weather in August was amazing, and the resort itself is stunning. Out of all the resorts we’ve visited, this one feels the most tropical and authentically Mexican, surrounded by incredible nature and wildlife (the animals don’t bother you at all). It has so much charm and character compared to the concrete-style resorts you often see. Room service was excellent, and we stayed in a Junior Suite in Building 3, which was perfect. The combination of atmosphere, service, and beauty makes this resort truly special. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate — this place is incredible!

My husband and I stayed for 4 full days and experienced excellent service from beginning until the very end of our trip. I love that this resort has kept the Spanish colonial charm in its decor the grounds are beautifully preserved. The food (especially for resort food) was great. I would say the best we have ever experienced at any resort we have ever visited. We enjoyed the pool and even opted for room service on one of the evenings.The shows were great and entertainment was good. Please be aware that they do have a dress code for their restaurants, men must wear closed toe shoes and pants for their dinner services. We would definitely recommend this resort if you’re looking to stay here. Thank you for an amazing experience we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

I had the most incredible experience at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was truly next level. What stood out the most for me was the breathtaking beauty of the resort — it felt like being in a lush, tropical forest. The grounds are so beautifully maintained, full of greenery, palm trees, and peaceful walkways that make you feel like you’re in your own private jungle paradise. The rooms were spacious and clean, the pools were stunning, and every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet luxurious getaway surrounded by nature, this is the place. I can’t wait to go back — truly a 5-star experience from start to finish!

Had an amazing week at Valentin Imperial. Was the first time here and compared to other all-inclusive resorts, was our favorite. Service was spectacular and never had a problem. All of the restaurants were great and wasn't a problem getting seated right away. Liked all of the options to choose from and never had a bad meal. All of the bars were great. Shout out to the staff at Martini bar off the lobby! Go to place for an end of evening drink. Don Miguel's was also a cool atmosphere and a favorite to relax in the evening. The grounds are really well maintained and beautiful throughout. Once we figured out what they were, watching the coati's play was fun. Rooms were good, beds were comfortable and the A/C worked well. Glad we stayed in the Gold buildings as the smaller, quieter pool was great to have close by. The size of the beach front was incredible. Lots of shaded chairs. Was unfortunately sargassum but not the resort's fault and they did what they could to clean main areas of the beach. Still enjoyed the ocean. Only complaint was the number of guys selling on the beach. Seemed every 2 minutes someone came by. After a while, "no, gracias" gets tiring. As a group, they'd park on the beach and hang out most of the day. One even had his kid running around the beach. Odd for adults only resort. But overall was really impressed and would definitely go back.

A group of 6 of us stayed at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya from Aug 14-21, 2025. It was a lovely week, we were happy to find very little sargassum (almost none) on the beach, during our time there. The restaurants were all great with one exception, the Mexican restaurant, La Hacienda. The food there seemed to be a "reimagined" variation of Mexican dishes. This might work for some, but we did not appreciate the lack of authentic flavor. The same goes for the tacos from the food trucks by the pool. All other restaurants were fantastic, and the breakfast/lunch buffet always had many, many delicious options (including Mexican food). The churro cart was excellent as well! The cafe was absolutely perfect, I had the walnut ice cream daily with my cappuccino/cortado. We experienced excellent service from all the staff, especially from Martha in the courtyard, Eleazor at Mar y Tierra, Jose at the pool bar & Wilberth in the Cafe. The pool 'energy, entertainment' guys (Pablo, Israel & ?) were fun as well. 5 stars is still my review, but if the Mexican food options could be improved in La Hacienda and better tacos at the pool food trucks, this place would be even better. Lastly, there is a spa, but I don't think it was used much. Note to management, wouldn't it be better to charge less for a massage, and actually have guests using it versus charging $170 usd for a 60 min massage that nobody should be ok paying for? The spa prices at Valentin Imperial are insane. I only pay $65 usd ($90 cad) for a 60min deep tissue massage in Calgary. It's ok, I don't have to have a massage on vacation, but I would have if it wasn't 3x what I pay back home. We had a lovely time, and would go back, absolutely.
