Sideshow
The entire place is well maintained and the staff is energetic, friendly and helpful. There were plenty of daily activities and the theatre entertainment was generally good, the illusionist and the rock circus stand out. The bands were a little strange, all talented but the rock music selections were odd every night. No kids is a huge plus. The lazy river is nothing but a narrow pool with no current in an odd setting to where everyone is on top of each other. You also need to get up early to compete for pool chairs. The biggest problem though is they force you to be tied to your phone for everything. No paper schedules, no paper menus at restaurants. Part of going on vacation is to not look at the phone, you can't do that here. The other thing is you need to be seated by 6:15 at any of the restaurants otherwise you're not eating until 8 PM, and getting seats at the hibachi grill is next to impossible (and we found not worth it). The only good restaurants we found were the French one and the Surf and Turf at the beach, and we tried them all. All the others were fair at best. Competing with people and being on the phone all the time is exactly why we were on vacation, so the phone thing, competing for pool chairs, and the dinner thing was a turn off to where we won't go back.

Wonderful service. Great food especially the French restaurant. All the employees were very very friendly. The bike tour is a must. Chairs at the Golden pool are nice and quiet. A bit windy for us because couldn’t get into the ocean. Jose, Manuel, Israel and Daniel waitress by the main pool were wonderful. And Dora is great to chat with

This was truly the best resort I’ve ever stayed at, especially for being all inclusive. The staff is out of this world - they genuinely do everything to make sure you have the best vacation. They are attentive, friendly, efficient, etc. the food is also incredible. Not to mention - wherever you sit a server comes up to you and is very attentive. Rooms were spacious and so clean. The resort archicture as well is beautiful - so clean when it rains it’s slippery! They are constantly cleaning the property. All of the activity guides are a blast, great energy, etc. I have 0 complaints and would come here every year!

We couldn't have picked a better place for our honeymoon than Valentin. The entire staff were extremely professional, kind, and great at what they do - you would have to actively try to have a bad time here. We loved the pools and different activities, and the food was better than we expected. We will definitely be going back!
