We stayed here 2 weeks and have only just come home. What an experience we had most were positive and had a few negatives. Food in the buffet was always cold unless we had an omelette in the mornings where they were warm and on the very odd occasion our food was hot but the food was always cooked. The rooms were lovely for 3 people and were spacious our only downside is that the plugs in the room wasnt working accept for where the coffee machine was and in the bathroom where we did have to charge our phones. The service was always amazing we always were served and greeted with a smile when we ran out of drink they always came around to ask us if we wanted another. We booked lots of trips so we didnt get the chance accept for 2 days to be in the pool and see the entertainment but we enjoyed the entertainment team activities yoga and zumba were out favourite if we got back from a trip early we would get involved as much as possible. Unfortunately for the two weeks we were there the shows the hotel were put on they cancelled because of bad weather that they were due. We still had an amazing time and would definitely book again as it was in the perfect location for us.

The hotel is under renovation currently so after walking around in circles, looking for restaurants to find out is actually in Another location was quite disappointing as no one told us. We went as a group there was three of us. We asked to be side-by-side for our rooms. They claimed it was the same building. I was on the first floor, but I had to physically walk outside and go around the building to reach my friends there is no pass-through. The rooms are quite large and spacious with a king size bed, a couch, a desk and a bistro table.. the bathroom was renovated nicely, except for the mold accents that they added. There was mold throughout the bathroom.. my tub did not drain and they kept fixing it after they cleaned it every day. The facility has a huge pool, which is nice but only one pool and it closes at 6:30 PM same with the hot tub one hot tub, which has three hot tubs within the one large tub and it’s not hot. It’s about the same temperature as the pool. It also closes at 6:30. The trolleys are hit or miss sometimes we got them right away other times we had to wait 15 to 20 minutes and then we would see two or three in a row luckily to walk anywhere it is not far and we were at one of the back buildings. Building eight. They offer shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that are just subpar no lotion at all . My mini fridge barely kept anything cold maybe a little on the cool side, but certainly not cold . make sure you bring plenty of mosquito spray.!! I would additionally recommend bringing some kind of thermos to fill up your drinks. I was additionally very disappointed when I purchased some items from one of the vendors that they had near the lobby one night we agreed upon a price and when I looked at my credit card, it was $30 higher than what was discussed. I went to the vendor and he made a bunch of lies up why it was more money and then he gave me $10 cash back. I complained to the hotel and I’m going to report it to my credit card.. the food was just OK but then again I’m a pescatarian. At one point, I said it was quite sad that the best food was mac & cheese and pizza.. They had a really good cucumber salad for the first two days after that I don’t know what happened to it. I never saw it again.. We went to three restaurants two of the three were OK. It was the Japanese restaurant that I got lost finding, I did not enjoy the soup I had nor the desserts the first dessert I could not eat so he brought another one. It was awful.- it was crunchy. The sugar was not dissolved whatsoever.. if you wanna go to the beach, good luck it’s gonna cost you extra to go to the sister facility. Don’t waste your time or your money.! I took a video, but it does not appear that I could download it on this application. Very limited on activities in the evening. They do have a kids waterpark. They also have a hammock area, but I would not recommend it unless you want to take a bath in bug spray..

Our dinner at Mashua Restaurant at Bahía Príncipe was simply unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding a huge thank you to Álvaro, Jenny, and Ivonne, who made the whole experience truly special. The atmosphere was elegant yet warm, the food was exquisite with every dish beautifully presented, and the flavors were just incredible. What really stood out, though, was the personalized attention we received. Álvaro, Jenny, and Ivonne went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, turning a great dinner into an amazing memory. We left with happy hearts (and full stomachs!) — definitely a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend Mashua if you want an unforgettable night at Bahía Príncipe.

This hotel is one to come back to! The staff here are amazing and work well above their pay. The entertainment staff all went above and beyond each day to make the days and nights enjoyable for everyone. The catering staff also do an amazing job with all the food and the service also being top tier. The hotel and rooms themselves are all very well cleaned and well placed with transport available from almost everywhere on campus. If you are on the fence allow this recommendation to be the reason you go because you won’t regret it. Everyone in the staff at the hotel deserves a pay rise! Great place.

Just spent a week at Coba and was not impressed. The buffet was decent, but you had to fight for certain foods like bacon. They would bring a single tray out and it would be gone in less than 5min. Then you would have to wait another 30min for them to bring out another single tray of bacon. Most food was also not labeled properly which was annoying. The staff was hit and miss. Some super nice and motivated, others just don’t seem to care at all. On the weekend the place is completely packed with locals which makes getting. Food/drinks even more difficult. Getting drinks anywhere close to the pool can take upwards of 20min.. The Tapanyaki was ok, the chicken was extremely chewy (both times). The beef and seafood were good though. The portions at the Italian restaurant are a joke. You will be hitting up the snack bar afterwards. While the water park has a no minimum height restriction, it does have a *maximum* height restriction. This means we could not go down the water slides with our 3yr old daughter who was quite nervous to go down them. This should be posted on their site and it is not. You also cannot ‘play’ with your kids in the pool by picking them up out of the water and splashing them or else the lifeguard will blow their whistle at you. The rooms are outdated but that didn’t bother us too much - aside from our toilet breaking. They are also currently renovating so that will be fixed soon enough. There was mild smells of sewage at times.. They messed up our checkout time and we ended up getting locked out of our room 1hr before we had to catch the shuttle back to the airport. Needless to say that was super stressful. The beach nearby was also not great. Very rocky. Overall I would say 2.5/5.0 If you are planning on staying here are some tips. Do the pre-checkin and save yourself upwards of 1 hour checking in. Bring a big cup as you will be waiting for drinks for upwards of 20min on the weekend. Get to breakfast and dinner early. Especially on weekends.
