One of the best properties in Maldives with exceptional service and beautiful villas. The size of the island and the property is one of the biggest in Maldives, but the villas are designed and laid out in such a manner it is very private and the villas are very spacious.
We stayed in a beach villa which was spacious, tastefully decorated and had all the modern amenities you look for and beautifully maintained by the service staff.
Service was exceptional, something that really makes this property stand out. Kudos to the management team for maintaining such high quality of service across the entire service team.
The dining options is one of the highlights as the property boost 11 dining options, Arabian restaurant was the standout for us, delivering special meal in a amazing backdrop of a restaurant.
Breakfast was without a doubt one of the best I have seen in any properties, buffet spread was excellent, pastry selection was so fresh and something we looked forward to every morning.
There are some wonderful spots for house reef snorkelling, highly recommend the reef off the Chinese restaurant which had a great patch of unspoiled house reef which is in great condition.

This was our second stay at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives. Traveling this time with two young children, we were once again blown away by the warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality of the staff.
The Kids Center deserves special recognition. The staff there were nothing short of amazing—super friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring for the well-being of our children. With a variety of engaging activities, our kids were entertained and happy throughout our stay. We also used their babysitting service multiple times for date night dinners or excursions and our children absolutely loved the staff.
Breakfast at the Tasting Table was another highlight of our trip. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts thanks to the wonderful staff who went out of their way to help and entertain our kids.
We stayed in the Reef Villa 509 which faced the ocean. I would suggest requesting an ocean facing villa if you want to be able to snorkel in the reef right off your villa. The staff also equipped our villa with extra fencing to prevent our kids from accidentally walking off. The reef outside the villa was amazing and you would see a variety of sea life.
Lastly, all of this would not have been possible without our amazing concierge, Tom. Tom was the epitome of exceptional service—friendly, proactive, and incredibly efficient. He arranged all our activities, babysitting, dinners, and even photoshoots, ensuring that every detail was handled flawlessly. Without a doubt, Tom has a prosperous career ahead of him in hospitality.
We highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling with children—it’s a fantastic family destination with activities for all ages and a level of service that is truly unmatched.

This place is spectacular. Great use of Hilton points if you can find availability for standard room rewards (it’s a challenge, albeit well worth the effort, especially if you can find availability block of days in a row). The couple hour long afternoon/sunset shared fishing charter is well worth it (our family of 4 caught 24 fish in that time and can be prepared for the following evening’s dinner). The snorkeling is some of the best in the world and can step down the ladder from the overwater rooms. Kids generally eat free and very family friendly. Breakfast is also free for those with Hilton status and the best hotel breakfast buffet I’ve had. Service is great with golf carts on call (we used WhatsApp) and there in just a few minutes. Bikes are also available at your room. Only one minor downside is yacht transfer price is high (can purchase via points at least at times, cut our cost in half even when buying points). That said, it’s a yacht, with snacks and drinks included. Paradise!

The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is a luxury paradise with breathtaking villas, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches.
The service is unmatched, with personal concierges catering to your every need. Our concierge was Marica, and no words can truly describe how amazing she was! We were incredibly happy with her. She went above and beyond to make our holiday unforgettable. We would like to thank her again for her friendliness and outstanding service.
The resort offers top-tier restaurants, and the food was delicious (for the restaurants we were able to try). The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had, with plenty of options, including a wide selection of halal and non-halal dishes.
However, there were a few things we found less ideal:
• The yacht transfer (shared) was quite expensive.
• Most of the restaurants were fully booked for the days we were there.
Overall, the resort is perfect for those seeking ultimate relaxation and exclusivity.

Wow wow wow what a place. From
The minute we arrived on a fabulous yacht welcomed by a line of staff, the service we received was second to none, from our personal concierge David who checked in with us several times a day. Had pre booked different restaurants for each night prior to our arrival. Arranged buggies to take us to our restaurants - nothing was too much. All of the staff super friendly Joy at breakfast and at Tasting table treated us like we were her personal guests. Feels like a very happy place to work and this comes through all of the staff , waiting, beach staff, beach sports, everyone is there for you and your enjoyment.
We enjoyed sundowners at Amber every evening and loved all of the restaurants, the food was incredible.
The island is fairly big, we did a few long walks, cycled everywhere during the day. Used the gym a few times. The pools are beautiful and even though the resort was full it still felt quiet and peaceful.
We stayed in a Water villa for 4 nights and then a Beach Villa for 3, both were just amazing, so spacious, incredibly well appointed with private pools , hammock beds, access to the water or beach, we saw the most wonderful wildlife including dolphins, turtles and stingray.
We loved Zuma and all of the restaurants. We didn’t do Terra, it’s not a cheap resort, you pay a lot for food and drinks, alcohol is particularly expensive. Terra would have cost at least £1000 which didn’t seem worth it. Would highly recommend this resort, not if you’re on a budget though…….. you really are in luxury and are treated like royalty and that comes at a price which for us was worth it.
