A little delayed on this review, but long overdue.
This resort is absolutely everything I hoped for. Started off with a glass of champagne before the fish fry Friday night. Enjoyed a massage, and the pools. Lunch is best poolside. The grab and go breakfast option is superb quality, as is the food all around, especially at the castle restaurant.
If you want a late night meal/snack/drinks - Check out the fridge across from check in.
Employees are friendly and helpful. You can book activities directly through them which is advisable, as a taxi is $50USD each way to Bridgetown. The night sub ride and turtle snorkeling- highly recommended.
I was even upgraded to a top floor room as a loyalty member and couldn’t appreciate that more. It’s always frustrating paying for the price of two when I’m one, but these added touches including a birthday welcome platter was amazing. Thank you so much and can’t wait to return. Solo or with Family and friends in the winter.

Let me start by saying go see for yourself, these reviews are misleading. The hotel is not near anything, so make sure you pack everything you need there isn’t a store at the hotel. Check-in was seamless, a welcome drink was offered. We were informed of the shuttles when and where they go. We were taken to make reservations for dinner. Our room was really nice, contemporary. There are pamphlets that list entertainment & activities daily with locations and times although night entertainment ended around 10:30. You are able to be in the pool as late as you want we saw people still in there after 10pm. The gym and spa was open. The buffet food was just buffet food to us, although the sushi was really good, there was not a lot of Caribbean food. There isn’t a swim up bar and not to many waiters walking around at the pool to take food or drink orders we had to pretty much get up and go to the bar ourselves. The pool restaurant/bar had some really good tacos. The castle restaurant food was good. The staff were very attentive at all the restaurants they all seemed to be doing what was expected. Our stay was very relaxing we enjoyed ourselves. I recommend this hotel but If you’re looking for a party hotel this is not it.

Such great service for an all inclusive property. Our group (mostly with vegetarians) was still accommodated. We came for the cricket world cup and the staff was excited for it. On the back end of the trip, a hurricane passed by the island. The staff’s response was amazing. Still made full meals for us, provided sandwiches to keep in our room (in case). We barely lost power and all was fine but they really attended to us.
Resort opened a couple months ago so they are still working out some of the amenity kinks but food is really good, pools are nice and the beach is undeveloped but the water is warm.

After my third stay, I continue to be impressed by the calibre of service at the Sam Lords Castle Wyndham Barbados. The rooms are modern and clean, with all the amenities needed. With 3 pools and access to the beach there is something for everyone. Make sure you book a dinner at the restaurant, it never disappoints

If you're looking for a quiet getaway this is definitely your place to go. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff are amazing. They always have a smile and are willing to help you with anything. If you can't find something instead of just giving you directions they will take you. I had an ocean view room which was spectacular. Waking up to the sound and the view of the ocean is definitely worth the couple extra dollars. The only thing I wish was different about the room is more dresser space. The food was amazing. Both the fine dining and the buffet style. So many varieties and flavors. Only thing to remember about this resort is that it is not close to anything. And they do not have a gift shop on site. They do offer a free shuttle on Wednesdays to Carlisle Beach and Friday evening to Oistins for the Fish Fry . Both are a must. I would definitely stay here again.
