We stayed 6 nights at Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello. We had two rooms. One was very spacious had a private swimming pool. The other one (sea view) was smaller. Both had comfortable beds and were properly equipped. However, the cleaning was done late most of the time. It wasn’t the best cleaning we had : it could really improve. (Not at the level of a 5*) The food was average, especially considering the standing of this hotel. The restaurant very crowded and noisy. It wasn’t easy to find an available table. This hotel’s real strength is the aquatic facilities. We had a lot of fun in the waterpark. There are four slides, and we don’t have to wait. The swimming pools are filled sea water, making it environmental friendly. When it comes to the sea, there are two private beaches : the water is calm. We advise to go to the second one, it’s less crowded. Overall, this hotel is excellent, in a beautiful place with many facilities but an inadequate service (food, cleaning).

Hotel Review: Mirabello Bay Luxury Resort ⭐⭐⭐½ (3.5/5 stars) Our family of four (2 adults, 2 children) recently spent a weekend at the Mirabello Bay Luxury Resort in a 2-Bedroom Maisonette Villa. The experience was a mix of impressive amenities and some disappointing shortcomings. The resort's strong points are immediately apparent. The waterpark is a standout feature that our children absolutely loved – it's well-designed and offers hours of entertainment. The location on Mirabello Bay is breathtaking, with stunning views and crystal-clear waters that make for perfect beach days. Dining options are plentiful, with multiple restaurants catering to different tastes. The facilities throughout the resort are impressive, offering everything from sports activities to relaxation areas. These amenities definitely elevate the overall experience. However, our stay was significantly impacted by two main issues. The most problematic was the poor sound insulation in our villa. The lack of proper sealing meant we could hear virtually everything from outside – from passing conversations to service vehicles, which disrupted our sleep and peaceful moments. The second concern was the cleanliness standards, which fell short of what you'd expect from a luxury resort. Surfaces weren't thoroughly cleaned, and attention to detail was missing in the housekeeping service. While the 2-bedroom maisonette villa offered ample space for our family, these drawbacks made it difficult to fully enjoy the otherwise excellent resort amenities. Recommended for: Families seeking a resort with great amenities and water activities, but be prepared for potential noise issues and consider requesting extra cleaning services. Value for money: Moderate, given the maintenance issues despite the luxury positioning.

Rooms were fantastic (did get a bungalow with a private pool which was well worth paying extra for) - very clean and comfortable. Service at the yacht bar was so much fun and high quality - Daryl and Stavros deserve a big thank you for putting a smile on faces every night. Buffet food was good but you need to time it to enjoy - be there first and before peak times (the hotel advises these times), to enjoy it. This is the only thing that dropped it from 5 star - it was still good food and healthy but not to rave about. Staff are so busy from demanding patrons, but if you were kind to them and patient, they were overly appreciative and returned the kindness in bucketloads. We always felt like treasured guests. Location was fabulous- easy walk to town and beautiful beaches at the doorstep!

Firstly I must praise the Spa, I had two massages over the week (last week) Kyriatos was firm but gentle I came away each time totally chilled! Reading earlier reviews we were ‘expecting’ problems but any issues were resolved very quickly. We would agree with the comments re only some of the reception staff. Not all were engaging unlike the rest of the staff on the site. There was also an element of trying to sell too hard some of the excursions ( commission based maybe?) We were all inclusive and the variety of food on offer was good, though I accept occasionally not as warm/hot as is could have been. The water park was excellent ( particularly for the adults🙂) I suspect during the holiday period it and the rest of the resort could be quite busy. The walk to town was short ( less than about 10 mins) but not advised in the heat of the day, the taxi were all about 7 euro. Plenty of places to shop and eat ( if you want a change from the hotel) the Arc on the top of the hill was truly beautiful in the evening for a drink and/or coffee, full meals were available. The only other down comment on the hotel was in the hotel bar area, only one member of staff was on duty the whole time we were there and for 5 star rating I would have expected waiter/waitress service and not having to queue at the bar, the member of staff did exceedingly well especially as she was very often making up cocktails. This are could also probably do with a make over as the lighting was quite harsh and not particularly welcoming. But we had a very good and relaxing holiday.

We stayed here during the first week of September, and while the hotel was fully booked, it never felt crowded due to its spacious layout. The property boasts both a stunning sandy beach and a stone beach with crystal-clear water. However, finding sunbeds can be a challenge, especially on weekends. As for the rooms, we received an upgrade to one of the new villas, which was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We opted for the all-inclusive package, but for a 5-star hotel, the buffet at the main restaurant could offer more variety. Breakfast was consistently good, while lunch and dinner ranged from average to excellent, though not always what you would expect from a 5-star establishment. That said, the meals were still enjoyable. If you have a sweet tooth, the desserts were always delicious. We also had dinner at Mezadaki, another restaurant at the hotel, which is a must-try for seafood lovers. The food here was truly 5-star quality and very tasty. Additionally, we dined at Kafenion, which was also excellent. In terms of service, I’d rate it 8/10, likely due to staff shortages. However, the staff that were present were friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers breathtaking views, which further enhances the experience.
