I went with an open mind and boy was I impressed! The walkability to restaurants, coffee, mailing options and even a pharmacy makes it a prime destination. I could have stayed for a month and not get bored. It's also within walking distance to a fun fair type playground for adults and kiddos
The service was perfect. Even the security team wants to make your stay memorable. My sister locked us out of the room and the security team was ready and willing to help us.
The room could do with some work but it was very clean.

I think for the amount of money spent it was not worth it. The location was great. The service was great, but the room was missing the door that covers to the refrigerator. Missing lamps to the desk we have multiple rooms and the one that we reserved was not kept did love the pool area and the volleyball area, but do be careful because there is alligators and snakes, but there are signs that inform you of that by the lake. Great view from the 8th floor overlooking the pool area.

Absolute worst hotel experience ever!!! The manager on duty was obviously tired of the complaints and couldn’t be bothered to hear mine. I specifically requested a room with a tub and was given a walk in shower. I had to wait over 20 minutes for a bellman and of course felt obligated to tip again. My new room had a lamp with no knob to turn it on, and the safe did not work. They sent maintenance to the wrong room, and then did not bother to let me know the safe could only use certain numbers. The convention hall had mold in multiple spaces and the temperature only was ever too hot or too cold. None of the doors were unlocked and people had to be let into the buildings and rooms. The soap dispensers were not refilled the entire weekend, and the handicapped stall toilet did not flush at all. One guest did not have a working ac, another had roaches on her pillow!! This place is being torn down in two weeks, but should have been torn down a long time ago!!!

According to my friends I was lucky and had a "good" room. Fortunately there were no problems in my room. However, when I arrived one of the two double doors into the lobby was broken. This should have clued me in to the state of maintenance of the building. There are three elevators in the side I was on, and when I arrived only one was working. During my stay I never saw or heard more than two working. I also went looking for ice one evening. I went to the ice machines on my floor plus the one above and the one below. None of them had a working ice machine. I was there for an event in the conference area and was shocked to find there were drips in various areas with buckets around. Worse, when it rained trash cans were put out in additional areas and a ceiling tile had falling down in one of the hallways.

I spent a few days in the convention center for a dance competition. The impression I got from this place is that it is just not maintained well. The bathrooms were running out of toilet paper and staples were left on the ground for barefoot dancers to step on. The outside grounds were beautiful and I could see myself enjoying a day out by the pool, but there was a noticeable smell of gas near the pools that was just as concerning as it was unenjoyable. I was going to get a drink from the outside bar, but ended up waiting in line so long I decided I'd be better off drinking water from the water fountains.
