We stayed here in the fall and were very pleased with this hotel. The food here is great, there were different dishes every day. Although the weather was not very sunny during our stay, there was enough entertainment on the hotel grounds to enjoy our stay here. The only downside was that the hotel description states that the staff also understand English, but at the reception we were served by a girl who did not understand basic words, but I consider this a small downside, although the check-in was quite long. We really liked the pools, the area around them, the wonderful cocktails at the bar. There are wonderful shops on the hotel grounds where you can buy souvenirs. The room is good, we had a wonderful view from the window. Perhaps the rooms need restoration, but this is due to the heat. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and thank you for making our vacation wonderful

I recently stayed at Occidental Caribe in Punta Cana, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The resort is beautiful, with stunning beachfront views, well-maintained pools, and lush gardens that create a tropical paradise. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing space to unwind after a day in the sun.
The food options were great, with a variety of restaurants serving delicious meals, from local Dominican flavors to international cuisine. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The entertainment team was lively, keeping the energy high with fun activities throughout the day.
The only downside was the loud music that played until late at night. While I understand that many guests enjoy the nightlife, it would have been nice if there were designated quiet areas or better soundproofing for those who prefer to rest earlier. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea.
Despite that, I would still highly recommend Occidental Caribe for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway in Punta Cana. Just be prepared for some late-night noise if you’re hoping for a peaceful evening! 🌴✨

We just returned from a 7 day vacation here and we had an excellent week with our 5 and 15 year old sons! The resort is beautiful, there are two pools and a splash play area and we found great entertainment on both sides. The beach is stunning with soft sand and incredible turquoise waters. It can get windy down there but the kids enjoyed jumping in the waves. We made it to two of the evening shows which I thought were incredible! The buffets are also really good we always found lots to eat and they have different themes each night to change it up. We also tried the Japanese, Dominican and the seafood restaurants for a la carte and found them all to be amazing! Everyone that works here is friendly and willing to help you have the best time and overall we had a really amazing week! The rooms could use some upgrades but we didn't spend much time in ours to complain!

Wow so where I do even start. This is the worst resort I have ever stayed at. I came here over spring break with a few of my friends. The first problem we encountered was our hotel room door. Every single time we tried to get into our room, our key card wouldn’t work. This meant having to constantly go down to the lobby multiple times a day and reactivate our card. They would try and blame it on us and even charged us a couple of times.
The second problem (this is the biggie) was the bed bugs. During the course of our stay, we started to get bumps all over our body. I started getting nervous because we were all in pain and were genuinely suffering from the bug bites all over us. One of our guests does not ever get mosquito bites due to her blood type so we knew it wasn’t the mosquitos. I started doing my research and quickly realized that we had bed bugs. We searched our room and found bugs along the mattress. We took multiple pictures of the bites and the mattress (attached below). The mattress was covered in feces also, so that’s just the cherry on top. There was no sympathy from the staff and they again tried blaming the problem on us. They came up with excuses like “that’s not the same mattress” (it was) and made it seem like we were crazy.
After having to move all of our stuff into a different room they refused to provide us compensation saying that it was “impossible”. What does that even mean.
This place is seriously horrible. The food, the rooms, everything. Stay anywhere else.

We stayed there for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves, we only had a 4 night stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I just have a few suggestions if I may, check in should be a bit faster, we waited in line for about 25 minutes, also I think it would be great if there was a brochure handed out that would explain times and location of the restaurants. We did not realize until the third day that they were located on the second floor! It could also include other helpful things like when does a bus ride happen to visit the town...All in all it was a nice stay, so thank you for that. It was all inclusive but we had to pay $30 at check out and I am not sure what that was for..?
