Spent five nights here in winter 2020 (just before the COVID outbreak). Our room was fine, nothing special. Housekeeping (or other staff members) would let themselves into our room on several occasions without knocking or announcing themselves at all. Restaurant service was mostly abysmal, with over 45 minutes of waiting for any dinner service on our first night. The beach was a bust, because we couldn’t sit in peace for even a moment without some type of saleperson approaching us to try and sell us their wares. Absolutely wouldn’t come here again.

Great location and beautiful views but that is all. Pushy timeshare people (bought in 2021) to later fing out it's pretty much a scam. I would recommend just enjoying everything else and not agreeing to a timeshare.

After flying 10hours from France and not knowing what to expect , I can say that I spent an amazing 10 days vacation in Be Live Collection Adults Only Punta Cana with my mother in every way. The hotel is very clean, cozy,and beautifully designed. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds. The chefs and the staff are very friendly having always a service with a smile. The food was very fresh and tasty with lots of variety . The beach was beautiful and long , great for walks. In addition the General Manager and Nicolas from the VP desk were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like home. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitively come back even if I have to fly another 10hours ! :) Thank you everybody for making our vacation a very memorable one. Best regards, Aneta G.

Horrible horrible experience. The workers at the front seemed to look down at us and we're extremely dismissive. Either because of our skin color, our accents, who knows. But very poor customer service. The rooms were disgusting. Food at the buffet was gross. Pools and beaches were gorgeous but that was the only positive. I will never return. This resort is definitely a quick/familiar destination spot for locals but NOT for tourists who are used to higher quality vacations. Every other resort in the area was beautiful!! A shame we didn't spend extra dollars to go elsewhere. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to the DR. A lot of anti-black undertones. Shameful.

My family and I came to this hotel for our summer holiday in July, it was lovely! Amazing views and generally quite clean, we had a few issues with our first room but was quickly and easily sorted! The food in the buffet is quite simple but the restaurant system is very good. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming, most of them speak English too which is great. The entertainment is great with something different everyday, biggest appreciation to ‘sexy belly’ who never fails to make everyone laugh! All around a nice experience and would recommend, definitely would visit this hotel again.

Reading these reviews had me extremely worried about coming to this resort. But I can happily say I had an amazing time. The check in was a breeze, room wasn't ready which is fine we went & had some food/drinks. The room was very clean & easy to get to. Does it need some upgrades, yes but the only time we were in the room was to change & sleep ;) the pool were very nice, had three different options to chose from. The food was good, no complaints with the buffet or the food truck on the beach. Every single staff we encountered with was extremely helpful & very nice. I would come back again for suree. The gift shop has everything you need with an ATM which can be convenient. The beach was absolutely beautiful & the beach party at night was a great time. My ONLY complaint is making reservations for dinner can be a hassle. We got to the resort at 3pm and all the a la carte options didn't have any open reservations so we had to go to the buffet. Which is totally fine but if you're looking for something different make sure you books the days in advance.

Surprised at how UNcomfortable their “comfort” rooms were. AC blasting straight at your head, shower barely works, drains clogged, tv stands tilted…the “upgrade” costs extra. In the upgraded room you get a ceiling fan and AC not blasting at your head at least directly. Service - hmm, so for check in I waited 25 minutes for literally 2 families in front of me. The ladies kept going in the back room. Then it was my turn, all she needed to do was program keys and she took her sweet time by going in the back room twice!!! I spoke with 3 of the front staff, aaaaall of them were the same: took a disgustingly long time. Same for bar service, at any of their bars, they take ages to pour a couple of beers. Only 1 lady in the buffet was great. For the cleaning, they remembered to provide fresh towels once, all other times I had to chase them for it (as they removed towels from room), and never replenished shampoo. Location looked really nice. But due to the horrid service definitely NOT coming back.

May 2024 visit Ok resort for the price, easy to navigate. If you’re a light sleeper forget it. The peacocks are gorgeous to look at but at 5am all I could think about was needing a BB gun!! Rooms were decent and clean-ish, however horrible sewer smell from building site behind the building at the kiddie pool. I found the tourists to be very rude during my stay and not a lot of Canadians or English speaking people. The buffet was decent but the building was not air conditioned. The other restaurants there were all garbage and the staff were acting like we were bothering them with the smallest request. Entertainment was horrible. Very out dated. They shut down the atrium by 9 to force everyone to go to their shows. Once the show is over that’s it. No music or anywhere to hang except for one night they had a dance after the show and the beach party night. Good for young families. Not a party resort. The foam party was the best thing ever!! But then they had a twerk off which wasn’t what I wanted my kids to see. The beach is beautiful but not much left of it as it’s eroding. The locals along the beach (selling items or hair services) are annoying. They bug you everyday even if you told them no already.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days. The impressions of the hotel are mixed. The territory and the beach are wonderful. The food is varied and delicious. Many of the staff try to understand you and provide service, others are reluctant to perform their duties and are sometimes rude. The peacock at the entrance to the restaurant is more friendly than the hostess girls. The rooms need renovation, especially the bathrooms, it seems that the bathtub was installed 100 years ago. The housekeepers have a good uniforms and clean well. The servers in the restaurant have a very short and tight skirt, it looks inappropriate for the main restaurant. In a la carte restaurants you come at 8:30 pm, you get your order at 9:45 pm. Some people waited and waited, lost patience and left.

A Slice of Paradise – Highly Recommend Vista Sol Resort! We’ve been traveling for over 20 years, and Vista Sol Resort in Punta Cana is one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. While many of the staff don’t speak English fluently, everyone goes out of their way to help, and communication is never an issue. The food here is absolutely incredible – so much variety and everything is delicious. We especially loved the Italian and Mexican restaurants, which offered amazing dining experiences. The beach is simply breathtaking – soft white sand, crystal-clear waters, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Overall, Vista Sol exceeded our expectations. With its beautiful setting, amazing food, and warm hospitality, it’s a destination we’d happily return to. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying please don’t listen to the negative reviews. We had a fabulous time from start to finish, our 10 day stay on our family vacation was great. The staff were such hard working and kind helpful people. Hats off to all staff at this resort from the bell boys, to the maids servers etc all fantastic. A special thanks to our housekeeper Juana Guzman for always keeping our room tidy and filling our fridge. The food was good, especially the French and seafood restaurant. Best drinks are found at Lobby bar 2.

We stayed here in the fall and were very pleased with this hotel. The food here is great, there were different dishes every day. Although the weather was not very sunny during our stay, there was enough entertainment on the hotel grounds to enjoy our stay here. The only downside was that the hotel description states that the staff also understand English, but at the reception we were served by a girl who did not understand basic words, but I consider this a small downside, although the check-in was quite long. We really liked the pools, the area around them, the wonderful cocktails at the bar. There are wonderful shops on the hotel grounds where you can buy souvenirs. The room is good, we had a wonderful view from the window. Perhaps the rooms need restoration, but this is due to the heat. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and thank you for making our vacation wonderful

I recently stayed at Occidental Caribe in Punta Cana, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The resort is beautiful, with stunning beachfront views, well-maintained pools, and lush gardens that create a tropical paradise. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing space to unwind after a day in the sun. The food options were great, with a variety of restaurants serving delicious meals, from local Dominican flavors to international cuisine. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The entertainment team was lively, keeping the energy high with fun activities throughout the day. The only downside was the loud music that played until late at night. While I understand that many guests enjoy the nightlife, it would have been nice if there were designated quiet areas or better soundproofing for those who prefer to rest earlier. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea. Despite that, I would still highly recommend Occidental Caribe for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway in Punta Cana. Just be prepared for some late-night noise if you’re hoping for a peaceful evening! 🌴✨

We just returned from a 7 day vacation here and we had an excellent week with our 5 and 15 year old sons! The resort is beautiful, there are two pools and a splash play area and we found great entertainment on both sides. The beach is stunning with soft sand and incredible turquoise waters. It can get windy down there but the kids enjoyed jumping in the waves. We made it to two of the evening shows which I thought were incredible! The buffets are also really good we always found lots to eat and they have different themes each night to change it up. We also tried the Japanese, Dominican and the seafood restaurants for a la carte and found them all to be amazing! Everyone that works here is friendly and willing to help you have the best time and overall we had a really amazing week! The rooms could use some upgrades but we didn't spend much time in ours to complain!

The resort is great, older but very maintained. Awesome for kids. The service is superb. We had a waiter named @Teofilio Mercedes, the best service and kind care for our needs. I n multiple days we saw him and above and beyond! Will be coming back!

The Occedental Punta Cana is a wonderful resort for those looking for a great view and a wide variety of culinary choices, all without needing to go very far. However, this resort is not without its issues. The rooms are not exactly what I would consider the best, without getting a premium room. The shower connects directly to the rest of the room, and the toilet is a quite small box, with a thin door being all that keeps you from the rest of the people staying with you. The air conditioner was very spotty, working extremely well some nights and not so well other nights. However the large selection of food, wonderful customer service and extremely nice workers all make up for the slight uncomfortableness of the room at times. And the many gorgeous views offered at this resort are to die for, and with many amenities, gift shops, vendors and things to go do and see on the property. There is more than enough fun to go around with friends or family. I would rate the Occidental Punta Cana a 3.8/5. (A final "tip" for those who decide to go, make sure to leave good tips for workers and your vacation will be made 10x better)

Well well were do I begin.. Air Transat take note!!!!!!!! This place was given 4.5 rating while people who at the resort confirmed this is a 3 star rating!!!!. At the most! This is my second time here since the first time was so great we decided to come back! Not so happy this time around and wont be back! We asked to change room since the first room looked at the back of the building and was accommodated a room in front of the pool! Please keep in mind we gave up a supreme room which we didn't mind as long as we got the standard services ! Celebrating our 25 yrs!! Great! But then the issues started we have a toilet that continues to gurgle when it feels like it night or day and gave to flush it 3-6 times before it decides to stop! Asked the front desk sent me someone who speaks only spanish and didnt do nothing because it stopped the gurgling sound! I have a video of it to show it to him but he didn't want you even see it! Got fed up and said to myyou even see it! Got fed up and said to my husband let it gurgle till it stops! Then we have no lock on our chain door so at night we locked the door and put a chair in the back so hopefully if anything g should happen we would be woken by the noise! The room was cleaned the first week no issues there, second week starts and waited over 1 hour to get towels in our room and-if i didnt ask for bottled water there was none given to us! Spoke today with the air transat rep Johnathan and he took down our list of issues and i was told to me or my husband I would have to go back to check on the update! WTF answer is that! But will do Its april 13 2005 and 4.05 and the cleaning crew just came in because my husband lost it! Everyday i tidy our room so theres not much to do so why is it so hard to do the bare minimum! More to come as we have 13 days to go in this place! Unfortunately cant put the video of the toilet! Which i have kept as proof! And the disappointment continues! Even after speaking with the higher up management we still have the same issues! Nothing has been resolved! Add photos

Great experience, rooms were clean, service was good, location was amazing. Food was very good and the pizzeria in the 2nd floor are also good. I tried the a la carte restaurants, seafood, oriental, and meat (las reces) and they were all very good. Drinks have space for improvement, a lot of wasted drinks because they aren’t very good. If you want good drinks go to the lobby bar and look for Julio!!

The food was average at best, the service was the same. A few people were extremely helpful but most were indifferent. The resort was nice. But for 300 plus a night I would have expected better food and service. Even the speciality restaurants were pretty bad. Nothing special about them. Other than the difficulty getting a reservation. They only accept reservations between 8 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. That's when most people are out on excursions. And don't ask for an exception. It ain't happening. The phone in the room didn't work, the faucet on the bathroom sink was falling off, and we had ants that it took them two days to get rid of. It's worth maybe $170 a night. Not the 300 they ask. The excursions were great. Water was beautiful. Swimming was amazing. And for a thrill. The police chasing a guy with a machete through the crowd on one of the 4 wheelers excursions. He ran right at us. Whoohoo

The service was great, food great, and definitely very well kept and clean every where throughout the whole resort and most importantly definitely felt very safe and secure. Had a fabulous 10 day stay at the Tropical Deluxe Princess. We thoroughly enjoyed the Brazilian restaurant Fogo and the Chinese restaurant Tao. We had a wonderful waitress at the breakfast buffet Maite who always made sure we had enough coffee 😊 Maite also waited on us in the Beachouse restaurant and kept checking we had enough cocktails 🍹 She was very friendly and we had a good laugh with her. Her great service and that of Brandilo at the Manatí bar made our trip even better. We felt the resort was beautiful, very well maintained and clean. We mainly stayed around the kids pool area as felt it was quieter and the service at Manatí bar was so great. We never had trouble finding a sunbed and the queues for lunch at the Beachouse were not more than a few mins wait. We enjoyed cocktails in the Lobby bar in the evening and the ice cream and coffee shop are definitely a bonus of staying at this resort. Make sure you check out the sports bar they have great food as well. We will definitely come back in the future.

The hotel definitely deserves 5 star rating, as indicated the service is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, although it helps if one can speak Spanish. There are however some bad points, firstly be prepared for the Mosquito's I've been eaten alive. You can buy ointment & repellent on site , but you will pay top dollar ( literally) for everything. The hotel is isolated and, I've not had opportunity to visit anywhere to purchase items cheaper, & on the subject of dollars, if you need to exchange currency, the exchange rate is diabolical! £100.00 gets you 85 u.s.dollars in reception.so be prepared!!!

It's a nice, family oriented hotel. Very well maintained grounds and amazing, wide, beach. The rooms are nice, good size. The kids' pool is perfect. Very entertaining. I went with my husband and 2 small kids and had a great time.

We were there for a reunion with my sister and brother in law. Spent 14 days. The weather was great. There are activities by the pool or the beach, at the square or the theater everyday. Lots of dancing, games and parties. The pool was great, the beach had rocks but just wear water shoes and it works. The food, it would be impossible for anyone not to find something they like. The service! They’re friendly and polite. Had the best masseuse named Orbida. Enjoyed it so much that I went for another massage before going home. Also had a great “maid” named Carmen Santana. Cleaned our room every day and refilled our refrigerator. We lived in block 4, which is close to everything. We just loved it.

As a first time all inclusive resort vacationer traveling on my own with limited Spanish, this was an adventure. Wish someone had given me the guide to resort living. Have to give a special shout out to Lidia, from the spa, and Carlos, the bellhop, who went above and beyond to show me around and make me feel welcome. The rooms were okay, though my shower for didn't close. Getting around was lots of walking, and so many chairs at the beach were "saved" even in the VIP areas making finding shade a premium. The good was average with some pretty hefty wait time for the best spots. The sales pitch from the vacation club was extremely rude and aggressive - 0/5 stars and really put a downer on that day. The Amstar tour to the sugar cane field and cacao and coffee home was amazing with my favorite tour guide, Usvaldo. Overall, a good time.

I do not recommend this hotel !!! The service in this hotel is hopeless. If you speak English and not Spanish, you will be served second. It happened more than once that the service did not want to serve us in the restaurant and we had to wait a really long time and it is not a problem to leave a tip because every time we left tips and were smiling, despite this, the service made a big problem to serve us. Once during dinner in a Mexican restaurant we were not even served drinks with dinner despite asking three times and reminding that we ordered drinks. The service in the buffet is a complete misunderstanding, during breakfast every day we had no cutlery on the table, we had no water on the table, we had to go after the waiters and ask for cutlery and ask for water for coffee, a really bad experience that I definitely do not recommend. The cleaning service did not do their job exactly, it was always dirty in the room, they never left us fresh water in bottles. Bottled water could only be taken from the cafe and it was not always available there so it was a big problem for us because we had a small child with us who did not drink the water served by the waiters we needed bottled water and very often there was none we simply had to go to the reception to report problems and ask for water. The food was average sometimes dinners were quite tasty but there was a lot of old and not fresh food meat and fish were almost always undercooked so you really had to be careful. My partner and I had food poisoning and friends who came with us also came back with food poisoning and had exactly the same experience with the service as us. We had ants in our room three times after reporting it to the reception a man came and sprayed the room the ants disappeared but the smell in the room stayed for two or three days and it was not comfortable. On the good side of this This is definitely a beautiful beach however you have to have water shoes with you because entering the water is very rocky and dangerous. Another cool thing is the Entertainment and the group that is responsible for it, very nice people, very positive, smiling and a really big plus for this team. We also used various trips, we sailed to the island, sauna, Catalina Island and it was a nice experience. However, despite all this, I would definitely not return to this hotel because of the service and I would definitely choose another hotel.

Very good resort. Always lots of workers cleaning. Beach water was a bit rocky but long beautiful beach. Nice big pool lots going on. Lots of places to eat. Never went hungry. Bar staff were great. And friendly. You might have had to wait a minute for a drink. Remember your on holidays. Great kids area lots for them to do.

I will get straight to the point. My experience wasn’t the best. The service slightly average. Teenager ran the place and no one cared. My friends neighbor played music all night when we signed a paper stating we wouldn’t. It was reported and nothing was done. I cut both my feet on the beach. Will I return probably not. The room was beautiful and the view was nice with the swim up pool.
