My stay was in 2022 but I can’t wait to return. The staff was all great when we stayed. The pools and swim up bar were great. I loved the random stray cats and how friendly they were. We went for our honeymoon and had a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in the room. The views were great. All the food was amazing and they made it so easy to make reservations for the restaurants. Comparing this one to the all inclusive I just stayed at in Cancun, I would come back here every time over Cancun.

After reading all the reviews I was so scared to travel to this resort and even considered canceling so many times. I am so happy that we didn’t because we had one of our best family vacations ever. All the staff from the ent team to the restaurants/bar, check in, coffee shop, house keeper were great. I golfed just about everyday at beautiful Cinnamon Hill and White witch while the kids enjoyed the beach, water park and lazy river. It was super easy because the concierge would ask for someone from the course to pick me up in a golf cart. The food was good as well and I liked that it wasn’t international food and there were a lot of good local dishes like jerk chicken, curry shrimp, patty’s, rice and beans in addition to everything else. Now is there room for improvement…of course! The water pressure in the rooms wasn’t the greatest but the shampoos/soaps were great. The culture of saving chairs has got to stop but this isn’t a Hilton Rose Hall problem this is bigger than that. The only other improvement for this site would be finding a reservation process for restaurants that works better than the current one(I really feel bad for the hostesses). When I spoke to one of the managers Jean about what time we should line up to get a table he mentioned that 5:30 pm would be good. We did get seated at 8:30pm after a long wait but did enjoy the meal. I would also recommend booking a tour(snorkelling)within the hotel-it was well worth it. Thank you again for the great trip!

Great all inclusive resort. Stayed one night before we headed to our regular resort. Rooms where clean and comfy. Great water park. Food is blah, and it's extra for premium food. The $40 for the Three Plams was well worth it though. Streak was so good.

Hilton has set this resort up for failure.
Check-in had 2 people servicing multiple flight arrivals and existing guest inquiries. There were 4 other stations left unmanned. The whole check-in process took almost 2 hours. Not a great introduction to the resort.
When we raised this with the manager, he hung his head but did nothing. Throughout the rest of our stay, the same manager did not even make eye contact with us.
The buffet for breakfast had the same food each morning but there was more variety for lunch and dinner.
Specialty restaurants were first come first served. Again, Hilton did not set this resort up for success. Most all inclusive resorts allow for reservation bookings.
Beach was nice. The service on the beach was nonexistent.
Rooms are small and dated.
The cleaning staff for the rooms were the only friendly faces on the resort.

I booked this resort because of the positive experiences I have had with Hilton properties, but unfortunately I think this property fell short on our expectations.
Like many others have said, beware of the Playa Collection staff. They will try to approach you upon arrival to convince you to to attend a meeting the next day. If you manage to avoid them, they also stop people all day in the lobby, at the top of the main stairs, and even when you're relaxing on the beach. They are not forthcoming about what they are trying to talk to you about and overall it's frustrating to spend your vacation dodging sales pitches.
The customer service on the resort is not consistent and for the most part it's below average. The breakfast buffet workers, the waitress at Mangoes, the Coffee Shop staff, and a few of the bartenders are amazing, but overall most of the staff we encountered were uninterested in serving and some were quite rude (refusing to make drinks that are on the menu and shoving tips into pockets without a thank you were my personal experiences).
One day we returned to our room at 4 pm to start showering and getting ready for dinner only to find our beds still unmade (not a huge deal but you do pay and tip for daily housekeeping), wet towels still on the floor, and the room still sandy. Interestingly our fridge had been restocked so I'm not really sure why housekeeping came in to do that and then left, but I ended up just going down to the desk and asking for clean towels and dealing with the sand.
On our final night, we attempted to go to the Seaside Grill for dinner around 6 pm. We were told that they weren't accepting anyone onto the waiting list as they were too busy and we would need to find somewhere else to dine. The Rum Factory was closed (there was no sign about this), so our only options for dinner were the buffet or Moonstone. I'm not sure the system of not accepting reservations is practical for a resort with only a few dining options, especially if restaurants are going to be closed without warning. We ended up eating at Moonstone and it was fine, but there was a private event next to the restaurant blasting music that was distracting and made it hard to hear.
Positives:
On both arrival and departure, the bellhops were helpful and friendly. They provided cold towels and a rum punch and took great care of our luggage.
The exterior of this resort is beautiful and the groundskeeping staff take impeccable care of the property. The beach is great for swimming and the pools are very clean.
Overall the food is good. The Jerk Hut and The Rum Factory were highlights for us, and the patties and sandwiches from the Coffee Shop are great as well.
The beds are quite comfortable, though if you are light sensitive I would recommend bringing an eye mask as their is a very bright flashing light in the rooms.
We were up around 8 and didn't have any problems finding spots on the beach but it did fill up before 10 so I would recommend going down early if you can.
It was our first time in Jamaica and we had a nice vacation, but our issues with the resort make me inclined to stay elsewhere on our next visit.
