This is actually one of my preferred hotels, especially in the Montego Bay Area. The hotel is quiet, staff are courteous and very helpful and the banqueting and events team is superb. I love the set up of the place. The food is great. I was a little disappointed that the buffet is not available in the evenings for dinner but it forced me to try the restaurants which I don’t typically do. I had an amazing meal at the international restaurant that is located in the lobby. The bartenders know how to make a mean drink too, if you like it strong. Don’t worry, you can get something that’s not strong too.

With limited access points and a few tricky spots, navigating can feel like an obstacle course rather than a leisurely stroll. However, with a bit of creativity and some helpful assistance, you can still enjoy what this place has to offer. It’s worth a visit, but just be prepared to tackle a few challenges along the way!

(Do Not Recommend) Check-In Process: Entrance is poorly lit, very dark. Arrived for check-in at 2 PM; informed that the room wasn't ready (understandable as check-in is at 4 PM). Front desk staff indicated that the two-bed beachfront room we booked was unavailable due to a water issue. Offered a supposedly "upgraded" room on the 8th floor, which overlooked a noisy main road and party scene, rather than the beach. Even after not providing the room we booked, we received our room at 4:45 PM. Front desk staff were indifferent, showing no concern for our tiredness or the kids; their attitude was unprofessional, as they merely stated, "We’ll let you know when it’s ready." Returned at 4 PM to complete check-in; given a key but instructed to return for the room number. Confusing key programming process; staff was rude and unprofessional, offering no options for room selection. Room Condition: Room was outdated and poorly maintained. Noisy fans; air conditioning took a long time to cool the room. 8th-floor area was dirty, dusty, and lacked cleanliness. Elevator was slow and unsettling. Restaurant Experience: No information provided about restaurant hours or reservations; had to figure it out on our own. Limited dining options; lunch buffet was the primary choice. Breakfast was decent; lunch was good. For dinner, told reservations weren't needed, but upon arrival, we were asked to wait or make a reservation. Even with a reservation the next day, had to wait an hour for a table. Unprofessional staff; servers were unfriendly and unwelcoming. Dinner options were limited and unsatisfactory. Bar Experience: Lobby bar was decent; poolside bar was less attentive. Service at the pool bar felt indifferent. Additional Notes: Walking back to the room from dinner was challenging due to poor lighting in the walking areas, making it dark and unsafe. The resort felt empty and lacked a vibrant atmosphere. Overall: Did not enjoy our stay. Will not return. Staff was unprofessional with no customer service. Outdated property in need of renovation. Dirty and dusty floors and walls. Lunch buffet was good; no other choices.

Excellent ocean view from room! Couldn’t ask for a better please to wake up and watch the sunrise every morning. There’s a strip of beach (mostly for relaxing on the sand) and two pools (one with fun activities and one for quiet relaxation). If you have kids, take advantage of the Kids Play amenities - they watch your kids and do fun activities with them so you can go do adult things :) Overall, a good stay.

The resort is mostly nice. I would say 4 star not 5. The service is somewhat inconsistent, it really needs on who you get. We had a villa and was assigned a butler. I don't feel it was an added benefit . We did most of the leg work for our activities. We also had to leave the resort to enjoy the beaches.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 8 days at this beautiful resort. The service was good, the staff were mostly very friendly and a pleasure to be around. Two of the staff in particular were excellent... Dahlia and Jason. Dahlia went out of her way and went above and beyond expectations of a server, so happy to have met her. If you go for breakfast at the buffet, definitely ask to sit in her section. Jason is very kind and attentive and a pleasure to be around, very high level of professionalism, ask to be seated in Jason's section when you go for dinner at the Rum Factory. The rooms aren't very well updated, but the view and the food and the rest of the resort is fantastic. The beach was very nicely kept. Plenty of free lounge chairs in the sun and in the shade. I would definitely recommend going.

90% of the food was horrid quality. Even the insanely overpriced candlelit dinner gave us food poisoning (we believe from the shrimp cocktail). Room service was completely inedible. Only a select few things at the buffet were worth getting. A lot of food had spice added to mask the lack of flavor and quality. Examples are the curry and even the lobster bisque. Most employees were rude and inattentive. I've never seen more workers standing around doing nothing. The vast majority of individuals we interacted with clearly didn't value their jobs, nor were cut out for work in "hospitality." On the note of the candlelit dinner, we were prevented from eating or relaxing once we sat down. We were posed for pictures for a good 15 minutes. Only to be told if we want the pictures, it'd be over $100 more. The only saving grace was the beach, which was ridiculously small. Overall, this resort boasts luxury and good reviews. I'm not seeing it at all. We won't be back. I'm not sure how or why hilton keeps their name on such a place.

Went here with a resort day pass and it did not disappoint. I could hang out in the lazy river with a beverage in my hand forever. The beach looked lovely, but there was a sign recommending water shoes because of sea urchins and we didn't have any with us. Lunch was delicious as well.

I’m here now and this is my 2nd stay (came in 2019.)Overall the resort is beautiful, but the customer service we’ve experienced, specifically with the front desk and lobby staff, has been poor and rude. When you ask a question they look at you like you’re bothering them and it’s very off putting. The restaurant reservation system is terrible and the employees just shrug and say, “maybe try again tomorrow.” The Playa representative literally chased us down in the lobby to sit for their “not timeshare “ presentation. She lied and said she was helping us book excursions and dinner reservations, but that was obviously a lie.Once they realized we were not buying, the representative was visibly upset and got up and walked away from us. I would recommend this resort for the beautiful views, the lazy river, and the food and drinks were good.Customer service definitely needs to improve, as I’ve noticed a considerable difference since my last stay here a few years back.

Went to Jamaica in April/May for the first time. I went with my husband for his birthday. We stay at the Hilton rose hall, and we had the best time ever. It was an all inclusive. We had no problem.Everything was on point. The staff was amazing. The place was clean and well maintained. The food was great. I will definitely visit again.

The experience was like no other. The food was very high quality! The service was impeccable, everyone was nice and ready to offer any assistance. The rooms and hallways had great air conditioning too despite the real hot weather conditions. Honestly there’s nothing i can think of that needs any improvement. You can tell that Hyatt is dedicated to ensure the highest quality of resort experience. You will not regret it.

Our stay at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We ask for a room upgrade and the staff was able to get us a upgrade to one of the deluxe rooms with private pool. Both rooms that we had were luxurious, spacious, and offered breathtaking views of the ocean. The resort’s amenities were top-notch. We enjoyed the variety of dining options, each offering delicious cuisine and exceptional service. The pools and beach area were pristine, providing the perfect spots to relax and unwind. Call out to the staff within the kids room. These staff were exceptional and make it a point to remember your kids names. We drop our son there, for what we thought would be a couple hours so we can have some alone time, and instead, he did not want to leave. He had so much fun, that he just wants to stay at the kids room all day every day. Additionally, the entertainment and activities were fantastic, making every day exciting with dancing, fire show and music. We can’t wait to return.

Hands down the best resort I've ever stayed. The staff were amazing, courteous, and polite. Accomadations were superb. The restaurants, especially the Asian one was great! Pool bartenders and staff were a pleasure and entertaining. I will definitely return.

Old resort but family food was better than adult side. Beach was ok sailing for about 15 - minutes ok need security for personal items brought by guests. Phone went overboard. Entertainment on adult side was good on a few occasions by female sax player very young but good. Violin pl a year was good also but never chatted with her.

Ziva is a happening place! Krystal is indeed a great check-in gal. She upgraded us and sent a special birthday gift to our room. Our room is spacious with a great ocean view. Air conditioning is only complaint It never gets below 73. But I think that is by design. Pools are great. Well taken care of. Food choices are way better than we expect from an all-inclusive. This is a great place We are totally enjoying our week here

We are here now and it's amazing. The part of the hotel is under renovation but they managed to make it not affecting the other part. The beach is very clean and you can always find a lot of vacant sunbeds. Rooms are very cleaned and well maintained, we had not even one complaint. We've been surprised in a good way with the service here, even we are pretty experienced. The stuff is just brilliant! We couldn't find words to describe their kindness and professionalism, they are really happy to assist you. They remember all your preferences after the first order, your glass is always full and your plate is always clean:) And it happens regardless tips. Kelisha, Sonia, Kerry, Kerry An, Jimmy and all the others - THANK YOU for your hard work, you made our stay remarkable and unforgettable. Highly recommend, will come back!

We had the most amazing week celebrating our son's graduation. We traveled with 3 teenagers and they found so many things to do, from snorkeling to a spa experience. The staff is all incredibly friendly and hospitable. We felt so welcome. We've stayed at another popular resort at Jamaica, the atmosphere and vibe here is so much better, this is now the only resort we'll visit here. We've had the best time with the pool bartenders, Q, and Stretch. We are going to miss Q and Stretch. They're both a lot of fun and are perfect for the entertainment department.

We spent for 3 nights, 4 days, and no regrets whatsoever. The hotel and the surroundings were beautiful, and clean. The food and drinks were delicious, and on point. This is what vacation is about! The staff is amazing, attentive and friendly. We stayed for 5 days and they got to know us well, and shared some good laughs. Pool side food truck has amazing burgers and Jamaican patties. Grounds were very clean. Would definitely come back!

I truly believe that people tend to write reviews if their experiences are exceptionally positive, or negative. Mine was more on the negative side. Similar to other guests' complaints, we started our stay with an extremely long check-in process. Even when switching to check-in at the VIP lounge, the process was still long, and the hotel did not seem prepared, staffed, or agile enough to accommodate the two buses that arrived. After about a 1.5 hour process, and a long day of traveling, we finally get to the hall of our room to be hit with the smell of mold and sour milk. While the essential oil diffuser in our room was a nice touch, it does not eliminate the bite of the underlying sour smell that would make it's way in from the hallway. Without even settling in, we promptly made our way downstairs to complain and asked for a new room; however, there was nothing available (supposedly). Feeling resigned, we made our way to a dinner event to catch up with other families who checked in earlier in the week. What we learned over dinner is that they were also assigned rooms on that floor, a spill / leak happened, they complained, and were eventually moved (after paying for an upgraded room) to other floors or buildings. But somehow, for the hotel, it seemed like a good idea to continue to assign people to rooms on that floor when the issue had not been resolved. To prevent this review from being extremely longer, we stayed at the hotel. After wasting 2 days trying to manage / resolve our room situation around family events, I finally had a chance to relax once we were moved to a new floor / room (that unfortunately did not have consistent hot water). We are regular travelers to Jamaica and this was one of my most disappointing experiences (food quality & customer service). There were a couple great people and restaurants that we enjoyed, but the entire first 2 days of our week long experience really put a damper on the trip and left me feeling like I needed more. I do not think Half Moon Ocho Rios would be on my recommend or return list.

A sales presentation to buy vacation time with the resort before you even get to see your room, taste any food, or even sit down after the hour and 45 minute ride from the airport is just crazy to me. Hustling from the start. The resort was OK for people with kids but definitely not worth all the money. It's not all inclusive either. Mostly inclusive but definitely not all. And this resort needs a good cleaning and powerwash. Either the price needs to come down or the quality needs to go up. It's not worth the money. I wouldn't go back.

I chose to have my wedding at this resort because I honestly thought it would be a great experience but I regret making that decision. From the moment I started planning until the very last day of my stay. We booked 15 rooms overall. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready until 3 hours later, despite our flight being delayed an hour. When our room was finally available, it was stocked with any beverages or wine. Our room was to have a complimentary champagne bottle and roses in bed. Unfortunately, we didn't have any of that. At check-in, my parents room was mixed up with another person. The system said one room number and they were in another number. The overall service was terrible. They are rude, not helpful, demanding, and lazy. The wedding turned out great but everything else was awful. The restaurant employees were all confused and never coordinated. I'm so unhappy and will never ever stay at the moon palace Jamaica. I will say the grand and moon palace in Cancun is bigger and better.

This moon palace is nothing like Cancun. Service was hit or miss. Sometimes I would have to wait 15 minutes and it wasn’t busy for someone to come over to get us water and once they would come you never saw them again some staff were rude. once the house keeper didn’t leave us any clean towels, when I asked her she said I only gave one you will have to get them from the pool and bring them up. Elevator broke a couple of times in one week. Basically only one place to eat breakfast. Water leaked in my room. We asked the bartender at the swim up bar for 15 shots as a tribute for our mom who passed away, gave him a $10 tip for it and he just snatched it and couldn’t even say thank you. There were 15 adults and we all agreed we wouldn’t be back. Loraine the waitress was awesome outside though. The kids did have fun and there were different things for them to do. But we were disappointed in Jamaica. We have been going to moon palace in Cancun for 15 yrs and that place is amazing.

Check in process was a nightmare, after traveling for 15 hours by 10 pm we still didn’t have a room, zero remorse from the staff this was after paying $135 for a “upgrade” rooms where a joke. After speaking with manager at 10 pm she said she will make things right and upgrade our room, what upgrade you may ask? Same exact room even worse location. Like a slap in the face, they didn’t care we had tired kids. Nothing. Mind you this place was empty!!! Not alot of people at all Food was good and beach was fantastic, other than that. Old small tiny rooms and pools were really showing their age. Kids playroom was nice. This did not feel 5 stars the way we were treated, they came up to me at checkout and offered a “discounted” future vacation for my troubles. Like you couldn’t just make this current vacation better? Had to wait till I leave? Rant over ridiculous

Room was amazing! The staff handled everything so fast and never bothersome when we were in the room. Loved having a patio entrance, nice touch. Concierge was fast acting and always attentive to our every need/want Kids Camp - WOW!!!! The entire staff was amazing, beyond our wildest expectations. Our son has Autism and they were so great with him, truly beyond anything we could have hoped for. Special shout-outs to Janay (at pool bar near Pirates Island) for being super good to us. She is a true gem. If there was any improvement we would recommend is that during meal hours, lower the volume of music near eating venues. Our son was bothered by it, he wore headphones but would have been great if music was not so blaring near (especially the Mill) dining areas.

We had a private villa with butler service. What's not to like? OK, the 90 minute drive from the airport on roads full of potholes wasn't the most fun, but the resort was great. One of our butlers was amazing. The other was good, but not as good as the first. The food was very good, but not remarkable. Even so, our family had a great vacation.

i loved this place so much! I have been here twice and they were both unforgettable. Entertainment was so fun to watch and i love the dances. The workers were so nice! they all were so nice to me and my family and always stopped to say hi to us when they saw us around the resort. The swim up bars had nice workers and were always smiling and happy. The drinks were amazing!! The food was amazing too, the workers were so nice and patient. The rooms were so nice and clean. I loved the towel animals that were on our bed every day. The rooms were so clean! The resort it’s self is beautiful. There was so much to do and loved the pools and water slides. The beach is gorgeous. The water was so clear and clean! I can’t wait for my next stay at this resort!

This was my second time visiting Beaches Negril and fourth time at a Beaches or Sandals. It is also probably my last. We pay a premium for an all inclusive resort however this visit due to capacity issues not all the restaurants were open. The food selection at the buffet which was the main location always open was awful. The deserts tasted stale. The bar and restaurant staff also seemed very unpleasant. The resort as a whole needs a lot of upgrades and fixing, their waterpark has features that are broken. The pool was very cloudy. I just felt pretty dirty overall. It's definitely not worth the price. I gave this three stars because my kids still had a great time. The entertainment staff was great. However I will not be going back and I do not think we should have paid such a premium for what we got.

Used to love this property, before they only allowed 2 people per room. It's a family resort! Whose ever heard of reserving a room solely for 1 child, 8 years old??? Or yet what if he were 2 or 3??? . Also the rooms used to be more comfortable, offering a couch in the sitting room, not 2 chairs. Very unhappy, will be giving my business to better true family resorts with more comfort for your buck.

Just got back from a fantastic trip. The resort is small enough that you can find your way around easily, but large enough that you have variety. First there is Janice, the best bartender I have ever met, make sure you tell her I say “hello” and try her ladder of drinks, also encourage her to make a ladder with shots (someone give this lady a raise or another day off). Then there is the entertainment staff, I am so sorry but I’m terrible with names, you know who you are. What a good looking fun bunch you are, had so much fun with you all. I will agree that the rooms need a little work, most of the bathroom doors don’t shut, but the staff make up for the facility, I can’t say enough great things about them. If you ever need a cab anywhere ask Shaneka (restaurant manager) for Cole, he is the kindest man you will ever meet. Thank staff for such an awesome vacation. xoxo

I am a frequent visitor to Jamaica; this was my first time at Jewel Paradise Cove. The grounds are well manicured, the rooms APPEARS to be clean. You have several restaurant choices, the spa is GREAT!! It has the potential to be a five or four star resort for all practical purposes. Unfortunately, things are not always how they appear. Until I switched rooms for three nights I was getting bitten by "something" while sleeping. The manager stated an investigation was completed and nothing was found. After switching rooms I did not wake up with 3-4 bites in a pattern on various parts of my body. I submitted paperwork from the local clinic & the resort still denied an infestation in the room. The website advertises a discount on certain immedities if you book directly with the hotel. After utilizing the services and receiving the bill the discount was not applied. When I mentioned the discrepancy an inclusion was mentioned and was attempted to be used to deny me the discount. Also, Services are advertised that Jewels Runaway Bay no longer provides. If you book an ocean view room make sure you ask for a room with a minimum obstructed view as possible or you will be looking at trees. The dessert is GREAT! The taste & variety. The food at the buffet was always luke-warm & they don't have a microwave. You can order some items off the grill, but the line is always extremely long for those items. The pools are great. If it was not for getting bit by bug while I was sleeping, false advertising, not honoring promotions, and luke-warm food my stay was great. The majority of the staff was SUPER!! I would not stay at Jewel Paradise Cove again. I cannot recommend it due to the health concerns.
