I have mixed feelings after visiting Beaches Negril. The architecture and layout of the resort as well as the beach are beautiful - amazing. There were some employees who were absolutely phenomenal with their service - manager of Japanese restaurant Michael, lifeguard "Serge", pool lifeguard "Jackie", sales person Candice, two sous chefs ladies in Mill restaurant, one of the concierge managers and few waitresses. And then we were dealing with absolutely unreliable sales people and staff. Waitresses on the beach work only from 10 till lunch and then usually disappear in the air, the food in Stella was beyond disappointing (breakfast and dinner included), not enough lounge chairs by the pool and by the beach as well (a non stop hunt to be there at 7.00AM to get a spot and even that was not always guaranteed - shame on the management not to provide enough basic needs - lounge chairs and umbrellas. Is it a way how to force us to pay $190 per day to rent a cabana?), The Mill restaurant had not even once food ready at the time of opening (always at least 25% of the food was delivered 15-20 min AFTER opening - lunch and diner), early morning cleaning and ground crews were extremely loud every morning around 5.30-6.00 am right under the windows while pushing heavy carts and loudly talking, both our rooms were missing a door between bedroom and bathroom which created a huge inconvenience if anyone wanted a privacy there (specially since we travel with kids), our toilet was leaking from the first day (I reported it twice and nobody ever came to fix it), we requested restaurant reservations with concierge desk and it was not done, the management decided to remove ALL maps from the resort (paper, online) - They felt that it's better to have no maps and no idea where is what instead of using old maps and just let guest know that there are few extra new things on the resort. Concierge service was probably the weakest we have ever experienced and the sales person who was assigned to us never even bothered to show up. I have purchased THREE new vacations with butler service in next 12 months and I refused to work with him due to an absolute lack of customer service. I let my business being handled by a junior sales rep who even with a lack of experience understood that the MOST important part of business in the sales is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had the pleasure to speak to quite a lot of other guests as well as some employees. I deeply believe that the WEAKEST part of this resort is its management. It is a shame. Definitely not a quality one would expect for this price at company as Sandals.

We traveled as a family of 4 and paid around $515 per day/per person so the rating is based on the quality compared to the price. Room: The AC unit every night would make a loud noise and start spitting out ice chunks and dirty water. After 3 days, it finally got fixed. Service: concierge personnel were extremely helpful so go to them for everything! The 1st AC repairman came and told us that he’d be back and never showed up. We rented a cabana and it was messy and instead of the staff owning up to it, they blamed the wind and said that the toys were left for us. We showed up for water sports and was told that teaching of water skis, knee boarding etc was between 9-10am even though there was nothing posted about it. Location: beautiful beach area and amazing sunsets! Not enough shaded areas on the beach unless you have butler elite or you wake up early to save spots or you pay $ to the workers to reserve spots for you. Food: Yaku was phenomenal, Soy ran out of avocados and asparagus all week and it was very difficult to get in to the restaurants that require reservations. Overall, our family made the best of every situation and we had fun, but we will not be coming back.

Just came back from a 7 night stay with the family. Let’s start with the positives.. the beach is beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. The service and staff are amazing. The rooms however need to be severely updated. The bathroom was gross mold around the tile and the shower hose spray painted silver because the metal has come off. There were several days we came back from the beach to shower only to find we had no hot water. Found out we had to turn the hot water on in the sink to get hot water in the shower. A lot of open electrical boxes near the lazy river and slides. Kind of scary. Some of the restaurants looked they were in the process of painting but never finished. The buffet often ran out of plates and food fast and service was slow to refill. The beach was amazing but we were always being asked to buy souvenirs or drugs, not really what I had in mind for a family friendly beach. All in all they charge way too much for what you are actually getting.

What a fantastic week! After being at quite a few resorts as adults, I have been hesitant to return as they never seemed to hit the mark with food and drinks for such a high price. I can say that Beaches nailed it. The food was fantastic, the buffet was what you anticipate but was able to find some great Jamaican dishes. All other locations were delicious- particularly loved the sushi, Stella breakfast and dinner, and the pizza. The views were great and we were lucky with booking a quieter week so we rarely struggled to find a spot in the shade at the beach or pool. My kids had a blast- there were kid activities all over even when it rained they weren’t bored, and they often ran off and spent the day at the water park or games room. To be honest, I was very nervous about travelling and using any type of kids club but once there, I was so comfortable and the staff were so good with the kids I had 0 hesitation about letting them go for the day. What a treat it was to relax for a day after travelling with busy kids all week. I would definitely return and for the price point, I would not hesitate to say we got our moneys worth. Special shout out to Cameshia at the beach bar who created my own drink that I enjoyed all week and even went so far as hand delivering them to me when she noticed my drink was low. She was so lovely and thoughtful. My only constructive criticism was that we were not told when checkout would be but our friends were told to be ready for 10am. We received a knock at 715am telling us we Were late and our bus was leaving soon. That was a very stressful packing situation which left us without breakfast for our kids. I’m sure there was miscommunication somewhere it was just unfortunate it ended our trip on a stressful note.

We had an absolutely amazing time. The staff were all incredible. The entertainment staff are amazing as well as all the servers and housekeepers. Most relaxing vacation, since everything is there and you don’t have to think about anything.
