Our family of 6 returned home yesterday after an interesting week. While the beach is beautiful, there were many disappointments. The toilet in our room wouldn't flush and had to call maintenance. Sewage backed up several inches into the swim up bar at the big pool and it was shut down most of the day and evening. The ice machine in our building was out of service all week. The hot tub by the main pool was not hot, water was not clear, had lots of foam and smelled bad. We had our last dinner at Kimonos Friday. While the chef was cooking, a cockroach appeared on the table-and caught everyone's attention. They offered to 'sanitize the table' or move us to another. Some in our party left at that point, and some of us stayed. We also spotted them at The Mill and in our room. That said, I know restaurants battle cockroaches, however at this resort, the cockroaches won the battle! Housekeeping was hit and miss, as was turn-down service.

My family of 12 stayed in Eventide 4 bedroom villa with private rooftop. Villa was beautiful with amazing views. Location on resort was perfect! All the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Food and drinks were great. But, what made our trip so over the top special was our butler Roshane!!! He was amazing. Just a few things to mention coffee, fruit and pastries every morning, amazing lunches on the beach, my husbands private roof top dinner for his 60th, delicious and stunning, but the best was the private boat trip he arranged for us -thank you Roshane for elevating this very special family trip for us💜This trip exceeded all expectations!!!

I attended a friend's wedding here. I did not stay here, but I will review my experience with the wedding and the staff who supported it. The wedding was beautiful, on the beach with a beautiful Negril sunset in the background. The reception location was also on the beach. The set-up was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the DJ kept us dancing. Good times during my first experience at Beaches, Negril!

I have mixed feelings after visiting Beaches Negril. The architecture and layout of the resort as well as the beach are beautiful - amazing. There were some employees who were absolutely phenomenal with their service - manager of Japanese restaurant Michael, lifeguard "Serge", pool lifeguard "Jackie", sales person Candice, two sous chefs ladies in Mill restaurant, one of the concierge managers and few waitresses. And then we were dealing with absolutely unreliable sales people and staff. Waitresses on the beach work only from 10 till lunch and then usually disappear in the air, the food in Stella was beyond disappointing (breakfast and dinner included), not enough lounge chairs by the pool and by the beach as well (a non stop hunt to be there at 7.00AM to get a spot and even that was not always guaranteed - shame on the management not to provide enough basic needs - lounge chairs and umbrellas. Is it a way how to force us to pay $190 per day to rent a cabana?), The Mill restaurant had not even once food ready at the time of opening (always at least 25% of the food was delivered 15-20 min AFTER opening - lunch and diner), early morning cleaning and ground crews were extremely loud every morning around 5.30-6.00 am right under the windows while pushing heavy carts and loudly talking, both our rooms were missing a door between bedroom and bathroom which created a huge inconvenience if anyone wanted a privacy there (specially since we travel with kids), our toilet was leaking from the first day (I reported it twice and nobody ever came to fix it), we requested restaurant reservations with concierge desk and it was not done, the management decided to remove ALL maps from the resort (paper, online) - They felt that it's better to have no maps and no idea where is what instead of using old maps and just let guest know that there are few extra new things on the resort. Concierge service was probably the weakest we have ever experienced and the sales person who was assigned to us never even bothered to show up. I have purchased THREE new vacations with butler service in next 12 months and I refused to work with him due to an absolute lack of customer service. I let my business being handled by a junior sales rep who even with a lack of experience understood that the MOST important part of business in the sales is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had the pleasure to speak to quite a lot of other guests as well as some employees. I deeply believe that the WEAKEST part of this resort is its management. It is a shame. Definitely not a quality one would expect for this price at company as Sandals.

I recently paid a significant amount for a one-week experience at Beaches, expecting a well-organized and enjoyable stay. However, from the moment we arrived at the Beaches gathering lounge at the airport, everything felt disorganized. When we landed on Saturday, the lounge was overcrowded, and luggage porters aggressively pressured us for tips. The bus ride to the hotel was extremely uncomfortable, and the driver treated passengers with little care, making the experience unpleasant. In contrast, the return trip to the airport was much better. Upon arrival at the resort, I noticed that many employees seemed unhappy to be there. While there were plenty of staff members around, most were engaged in conversations with each other rather than assisting guests. Additionally, the cleanliness of the resort was concerning, particularly the pools. The main pool, used by both kids and adults, appeared dirty, and I never saw it being cleaned in the evenings. As a result, we had to use the same unclean pool the next day, which was quite disappointing. The beach experience was also frustrating due to the constant presence of vendors trying to sell parasailing, banana boat rides, tours, jewelry, and other items. One of the main reasons people choose an all-inclusive resort is to avoid dealing with sales pitches. Unfortunately, a Beaches employee stationed at the beach seemed friendly with the vendors, allowing them to continue undisturbed. We specifically chose Beaches because of our 7-year-old child, but the kids' club lacked a structured schedule, as activities were dependent on the number of participants. Additionally, many activities required extra payment, and the evening entertainment consisted of fire shows or song-and-dance performances geared more toward older guests rather than children. Watching someone blow fire from their mouth is not a suitable or safe activity for young kids. I strongly believe the animation team needs serious improvements to provide better, child-appropriate entertainment. On a positive note, some of the restaurants were great, especially the Asian and Peruvian options, as well as El Mariachi. However, The Mill, BBQ Park, and Soy Sushi were disappointing. At Soy Sushi, we were told they were out of avocado and several other items from the menu, with staff dismissing it as a normal occurrence. Being told to "be happy with what we have" was unacceptable service, especially at a resort of this caliber. Overall, there are many areas that need improvement. If these issues are not addressed, I believe fewer people will be willing to spend thousands of dollars at a supposedly kid-friendly resort that doesn't even offer basic amenities like crayons or drawing paper for children.
