If you seek sunshine and spectacular weather, you’re in luck as Halkidiki provides this by the bucketload for most of the year.
For those who like their holidays hot, the best time to head to Halkidiki is in the summer with temperatures between June and August averaging from the mid to high 20s. This time of year also sees the most sunshine, with 12 to 13 hours a day.
Spring is also a favourable time to visit with May seeing temperatures averaging 19°C and around 11 hours of sunshine. Autumn is similar, with averages temperatures ranging from 23°C in September to 14°C in November and between 9 and 7 hours of sunshine. The chances of a shower, however, are greater during these seasons.
As expected, winter is the coldest time to visit Halkidiki, with temperatures between December and February averaging between 11°C and 9°C, and a higher chance of rain, as well as the odd drop of snow. However, with the weather still warmer than parts of the UK, this time of year provides a great opportunity to discover Halkidiki’s wonderful heritage and explore its many historical site.
