We stayed at the Alantara Sanur Hotel for 4 days during our Bali tour, and overall, it is a top luxury hotel with excellent amenities. The hotel features a delightful swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, and a beautiful spa. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, perhaps the cleanest we encountered in Bali.
The hotel aims high with its service, but there are occasional lapses. For example, it can sometimes take a long time to get a drink. If you receive an incorrect order, they are willing to send a replacement, but unexpectedly, you may be charged for it. This issue cost them one star in our rating.
Additionally, the breakfast is the same every day, though it is very extensive and offers plenty of choices. It might be the most comprehensive selection we had in Bali. Despite this, the lack of variety led to a slight disappointment.
The second star was lost due to the hotel’s capacity issue. They can accommodate more guests than there are poolside spaces. We explored Bali every day, so this wasn’t a major issue for us. However, when we returned to relax by the pool, it was always fully occupied since many guests stayed at the hotel pool all day. This shortage of seating is unfortunate.
Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience at Alantara Sanur was enjoyable, thanks to its luxurious facilities and cleanliness. With a few improvements, it could easily become a top-tier destination.

My husband and I had an unforgettable stay at The Alantara Hotel in Sanur, the service was superb and every detail was thoughtfully attended to. The lush greenery, with beautiful plants and flowers cascading around the restaurant and the stunning wrap-around pool at the center of the hotel, created such a calming and picturesque setting; felt like a true resort!
The amenities are outstanding, including an in-house spa, expansive gym, and a delightful restaurant (with halal meat options!) Adding to the experience are the various shows hosted throughout the week and month, such as the mesmerizing classical Balinese music performances and the incredible, interactive fire dance we had the pleasure of experiencing.
The Alantara Hotel is a perfect blend of luxury, culture, and natural beauty.

Where do I start? This place was AMAZING!!! It was our overall favourite hotel to stay at out of the 3 we went to, on our first family trip to Bali. The staff here are so friendly and so professional. Which is why we will choose to come back here next year. A much more smaller and authentic type of resort, the rooms very balinese looking. It is quiet and relaxing. My young daughter loved seeing the few small cats around and about. It is only a short drive to the main shops, which is not too much of a bother, atleast its not on a busy strip, which we prefer. And that buffet breakfast they do, the ultimate best I've ever had. Thank you to all the staff at The Alantara.

The Alantara has a beautiful pool and a limmitted number of beds along the pool (always a rush in the morning to reserve one). The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. So why were we not too happy with our stay? We booked a suite but it is a joke to call this room a suite. It is very small and clearly not 40 square meter as is stated. Furthermore the location is unfavorable (far from the beach and a grab needs to cross the very busy highway which causes long waiting times). Last but not least. The restaurant is expensive and the prices on the menu do not include 20% tax and service.
