We had the pleasure of staying at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island few days ago, and it was a fantastic experience beyond our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff provided a warm welcome, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The room was spacious, well designed, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved the stunning see view from my balcony.
One of the highlights was the all-inclusive package which provides everything free including the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet with enhanced beverages. The infinity pool, private beach, and, most significantly, free admission to the adjoining waterpark were all free and wonderful; however, some essential rides were closed for renovation, which disappointed us. We thoroughly loved our time at the hotel, and to be honest, it exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing, with a wide range of cuisines presented perfectly. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive, always willing to help. The management should consider extending weekend dinner times by a couple of hours, and it would also be beneficial if live music shows were held in the hotel on weekends. Overall, Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island offered an ideal balance of luxury, comfort, and world-class service.
We strongly suggest it to anyone looking for a memorable stay at a 5* hotel in Qatar!

Rixos is a fairly new hotel in an area that is still developing. The staff could use some more experience but I am confident they will manage. I would like to mention one specific person by his first name. Bob! Bob is the best coffee Barista ever. Therefor, I will call him the coffee king of Rixos. His cappuccino makes your whole day good, no matter what. Not too strong, not too weak, not too much milk. Just the way it should be. Made with Italian perfection. There is still some work to be done to get 5 stars, but Bob already gets them from me. Thanks for the hospitality and delicious coffee. With kind regards, Rob from the Netherlands.

It’s the worse hotel I’ve ever been to in my entire life. The service is bad, the rooms are horrible, you’re not allowed to walk around the hotel after 6 pm!!! The bed sheets are ripped and stink. The rooms are freezing (the AC won’t turn off). The food is the same everyday. You pay for all inclusive, but the restaurants inside aren’t free (you only get 25% discount as an all inclusive guest). Please choose another hotel if you want to spend a good time with your family. Also, they should check you in by 15.00 according to their laws, but the rooms weren’t ready by 3pm. I have planned the trip by time, so I could rest after the long flight, however had to spend time waiting in the reception for my room. Also you can’t dial to reception from your room, because they turn off the calls. Well, it’s not a 5 star hotel, even 3 star hotels are so much better for better price. Good luck with this hotel! But wouldn’t recommend it at all

I had an incident at the turquoise restaurant were one of the desserts went bad , blueberry mouse, when tried to highlight to the restaurant supervisor she was in total denial very bad handling instead of taking the note and immediately addressing so there won't be any food poisoning for the guests and my family , which I was feeding from the very same mousse my 18 month baby boy.
She kept trying to give excuses for 10 minutes, and all the time I was asking her to try it to know it went bad , but all she had was excuses that it might be chef's special recipe, then finally she agreed to go get the chef , we're he tasted and confirmed my claim and apologised very respectfully.
At the end they were trying to offer 15% discount to avoid the embarrassment.

Hotel is good, location next to the water park is the reason we stayed. The hotel has massive potential, and could be as good as other Rixos hotels we have stayed in, if the management could be more visible and assist the staff, the overall experience would be so much better. The waiting, reception, bars etc staff were all very helpful and friendly, they just lack so clear leadership. The Gala dinner was an example of this, although we were asked days before the event want food preferences we had (my daughter is veggie), on the night, the service and meals came out at random times and were often wrong.
Pros:
Nice pools and good pool bar.
Water park is a must if travelling with kids.
Shuttle bus to the mall.
Cons.
Service needs to improve.
Food at the buffet although good quality, it was the same every day.
