19 Rooms deserves 19 stars!!
I stayed here for 5 nights in May and I still think about it to this day. The staff were incredible and so friendly. They made us feel welcome there from the moment we first arrived to the day we left.
I loved the quiet location and the breakfast! So many options and the bottles of water were a really nice touch. I also loved our room with the beautiful window balcony! The neighbour across the street had a parrot so we always woke up to the sounds of birds.
When I am asked to picture my happy place, it’s here.
If I come back to Valletta, I will 100% be staying here.

we are staying in premium suite, it's fantastic. very large, newly renovated, great air conditioning, 2 bathrooms separate kitchen and lounge. bed is amazing and very comfortable.
check-in was easy and smooth, Ruby at Reception was amazing and helpful and gave us great tips for the local area.
the cleaning ladies attend daily, and the room service is also great.
cannot fault anything, maybe just needs firmer pillows, but that is just our preference. good selection for breakfast.
everything is perfect for us and we will stay again.

Superb location - very close to all amenities of Valletta old town.
Rooms were clean and well-equipped, albeit much smaller than expected, quite dark and lacking the open "balcony" shown in description/ photos.
Staff were friendly but lacked local (restaurants/ bars etc) knowledge and did not provide any concierge service.

3.5/5 stars
SERVICE: service was lovely and I didn’t experience any rude or unpleasant staff.
LOCATION: location is great and off a quiet street in Valetta. Within 15 minutes walking distance to bus station and ferry station.
COMFORT: the bed was ok…firm. The pillows were too soft for my preference. (Honestly, I have yet to sleep on a soft European bed, possibly they don’t exist for hotels as they do in the United States).
ROOM: the room was pleasant and spacious (room 11). I was nervous based on previous reviews about the window, but I found there to be no issues with the window. It doesn’t have a view to anything but there is a window across the top of the ceiling and provides great natural light. If you’re looking for a view you will not get it at this hotel with any of the rooms. If you have a balcony room it will look across the street to another building and you will only get a small view to the ocean to the left. There aren’t many outlets so be sure to bring a plug that has a few ports for you to plug multiple devices in. Bathroom is spacious (no sink/counter space) but there is a shelf under the sink.
CLEANLINESS: the room was clean, however, this is what drops my rating. The shower head has a lot of calcium/limestone build-up and is very unpleasant to look at when showering. The upper shelf (below the window) where you can hang your clothes was extremely dusty so do don’t place anything on the top shelf. The floors seemed to need a good scrubbing so I wore my sandals in the room the whole stay (not barefoot). I would say the room is clean but not “deep cleaned” in some of the detailed areas.
BREAKFAST: nice European break with meats, cheeses, breads, vegetables, juices, coffee/tea, and pastries.
OVERALL: great stay, friendly staff, no issues, I would stay again if I wanted to be somewhere familiar, but I would look for other options first if we come back to Malta. We spent our last night in Silema at The Londoner and the stay there was not good. Would definitely recommend 19 Rooms over The Londoner.
TAXI: I contacted the hotel prior to my flight as it was delayed and they provided me with code access to the hotel if I arrived beyond 11:00pm. I used the hotel to book a taxi from the airport and the service was excellent. We had no issues with the taxi, he was awaiting our arrival at the airport.
(Be sure to provide the hotel with your flight information for the taxi to track and arrive timely.)

The hotel is well located (15-min walk to anywhere in Valletta), on a cul-de-sac in a residential neighborhood (zero noise). We spent a week (late June/early July 2024) in room #2, a duplex at street level. The room is clean, spacious and equipped w/ a fridge, sink, couch, and table. Breakfast is included and offers plenty of options from fresh fruits, to french pastries, maltese charcuterie, and anything in between. There is also a small open bar if you want to enjoy a pre-dinner drink on the rooftop. Staff was very helpful, especially Leticia. We recommend.
