Hotel Julian is in a great location with views over the bay. The hotel is well appointed and our room, despite not being a premium room was very large, comfy, clean and well maintained, the balcony looking out over the bay was lovely. Staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, always greeted me by name at reception! There is a rooftop bar/pool area which is great although we visited in November so it was quite pool weather, sunny and warm but not quite warm enough for a pool lounger. The hotel also has its own bar, restaurant and gym. The location is nice with lots of bars and restaurants very close by, despite how busy the area is the room was quiet and far enough above the bay not to be a problem with noise at all. Definitely recommended, we loved our stay.

I stayed for a week. Decent hotel with a good view. Staff is friendly.
Breakfast was average, could have been better. Salad wasn't very fresh as well as salmon. And every day is scrambled eggs, slightly annoying.
The hotel restaurant is great, everything was delicious. Definitely I recommend.
The room was clean. However towels smelled horribly of vinegar. Probably it's added when washing them.
The swimming pool on the roof is amazing with a bar and with a good view.
Hotel location is great.

Our stay in this hotel was 10/10, just wow! We were greeted at the reception by Mr Ojo and Ms Hapu, they were great and explained everything. They even upgraded our room to a sea view room which made our stay even better. The room was spotless clean, smelled nice and fresh, fluffy clean carpet, nice and cosy bathroom. We really have no complaints, everything was just perfect. The location of the hotel is also great. Close to Paceville and Valetta. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for everything, we'll definitely be back.

Stunning beautiful hotel! Lovely staff and great pool area! Rooftop is also amazing of an evening. We had a seaview and I definitely recommend the upgrade!
One morning was was woken by building works on the rooftop and it was usually loud in the mornings due to the rearranging of furniture. Perfect area also it's close to everything and far enough from the Nightlife!

After five unforgettable days at Domus Zamittello in Valletta, where the staff knew my name, welcomed me with champagne, and provided thoughtful touches like fruit platters and chocolates each evening, Juliani Hotel felt like a different world. If I’d stayed here at the start of my trip, my impression might have been more positive, but after experiencing the charm and warmth of Valletta, this hotel’s modern, tourist-oriented style left me a bit underwhelmed.
Juliani’s setting overlooking the bay is undeniably beautiful, with stunning views at sunrise and sunset. The Asian fusion menu is a delight, and the service is attentive. However, this hotel feels more like an upscale spot on the Gold Coast than an immersion into Maltese culture. It’s designed for modern tourists, focusing on comfort and convenience rather than a connection to Malta’s heritage.
While Hotel Juliani is impressive in its own way, it doesn’t have the cultural depth I was hoping for at the end of my European journey. Ideal for those seeking luxury and views, it’s best suited for a more tourist-centered experience rather than one that reflects the true essence of Malta.
