Stayed for a few days at this hotel and was a little disappointed. It smelt a bit poor due to the farm behind and landfill close by. Good transportation links which is nice as it’s very isolated. Food was okay, breakfast is the same everyday. However, the staff at dinner watch you like hawks and we were often ignored by staff who were attentive to everyone around us. The housekeeping staff were lovely and we cannot fault them. Pools are unheated outside making them freezing all the time it felt, indoor pool is only 1.3M deep and not big but facilities there were nice. Hotel was clean throughout and staff mostly friendly. Reception staff will ignore you for minutes at a time and no apologies given. ESE students give it a hostel feel.

I have just stayed for 4 nights at Salini Resort and it was a wonderful stay. I was on the 5th Floor with incredible sea views. The room was very quiet. The breakfast was incredibly yummy and such a huge selection of hot and cold foods. The staff were extremely helpful - a member of reception lifted my heavy suitcase into my rental car and even the hotel manager came to the breakfast room to chat to you, which is a lovely touch. The location is great in terms of quiet but not great for smells and road sound. The downsides (beyond the hotels control) are that on the weekends mostly, the main road below the hotel is very noisy - especially with motorbikes riding the coastal road. The outside smell - there is a landfill close by. The smell is horrific. You cannot sit on the balcony or have the balcony door open to air the room as the smell fills the room fast. As a winter stay, it was fabulous but in the Summer the smells and sounds could be very problematic.

The hotel was near a dumping ground and it smelled like trash. The staff was very kind and comprehensive, but the security and night guards were extremely rude and racist towards us italians. I would’ve rated this resort a 4 stars but the overall experience wasn’t absolutely worth the price.

Room was nice and big. Had a beautiful view. Breakfast was fine. Enough parking spots available. It took a while till our balcony door was fixed (there was a problem and it wouldn't close), we asked multiple times at the reception and they told us it will be fixed, but nothing happened. Just when we asked for another room the problem was fixed really fast.

The Salini resort is super clean, friendly staff, ample bright rooms and an abundant breakfast. Make sure to book a sea view room if possible. The view is incredible. Obviously weekends tend to be busy with the resort having substantial deals during off-peak season to maintain its occupancy and is very popular with the locals. This was evident with the queues during checkin, the limited availability of use of the internal pool ( arrived at 14:30 and could only book a spot at the pool for 18:00, and pool closes at 19:00). Very good selection of items for breakfast. Rather limited in bread selection ( from a few rolls and a brown loaf) and the warm section, some items were more cold than warm like the scrambled eggs and sunny side up eggs. Other than that its location is ideal if you want to go for walks by the coast or towards St. Paul’s bay.
