I have been in many Marriott hotels worldwide since I am a Marriott Bonvoy loyalty customer and unfortunately I have to say that my experience in this hotel has been quite disappointing and definitely not at the level I was expecting for a Marriott 5 Star hotel.
I will start from the location, at the very end of Marina bay, could be a great location but unfortunately there is construction work happening 24h nearby so if you plan to spend time at their beach or in the pool just expect a lot of noise from the construction work.
Staff is friendly but average in terms of eduction/training, so not very flexible in accommodating requests.
Finally, I had a bad experience in regards of New Year’s Eve. I was on half board and the hotel staff communicated only the day before that for NYE dinner all the restaurants would remained closed with the exception of their Pub (other option was to be part of their gala dinner at the price of approx $450/person) and given we were with kids we had to accommodate a last minute solution that was not planned (we’d have appreciated an early communication at the time of reservation or even at the arrival).
I think there is plenty of room for improvement so hope that this feedback will help their management.

The only advantages of staying here are that the rooms are clean, the room service is good, and the hotel is in a good location. Other than that, there’s nothing else to recommend it. The breakfast area is like a small cafeteria, definitely not suitable for the hotel’s capacity. As a result, you end up having breakfast in a small, crowded space filled with noise and chaos. You have to eat quickly and leave so that the people waiting in line can sit.
Moreover, the breakfast menu is very poor, with the same items being served every day. If you’re lucky, you might find something to eat, and you’ll have to eat the same things throughout your stay. If you can’t find anything to eat on the first day, I’m sorry to say you won’t find anything on the other days either, because the food options do not change. This hotel is not worthy of Dubai.
I hope the overwhelming cinnamon smell at the entrance is just for Christmas (although I don’t understand why you used it so excessively). We barely tolerated it for 8 days.
I’m writing this from a different hotel now because we had made reservations at various hotels for our long stay in Dubai to experience some variety. We’re now even more pleased with our decision to switch after staying at this hotel.

Our stay at Al Habtoor Grand resort was perfect from the time we arrived until departure. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to be kind and professional. Everything that took place behind the scenes made for a magical stay, with attention to detail and kind surprises that made our stay extra enjoyable. The location was very convenient to explore the sites of the city. The view from the beach and theClub Floor Lounge from sunrise to sunset, was exceptional (even with construction going on next-door, it was no great distraction) with many photogenic and entertaining activities going on all around—from consistent sky divers parachuting nearby, the camel rides on the beach, to the view of the Dubai Ferris wheel and the unique, towering skyline view from the pool. There were many special meals that did not get a chance to experience due to our busy off-site itinerary, but we would love to come back to Dubai and stay here again!

Worst experience ever. For the amount you pay you would at least expect the basics, not here.
Room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days in a row even though we were out for over 12hours (we were blamed for being in the room during the afternoon as to why they couldn’t clean). We also had two shower blockages in a week (see pictures) and a sink blockage. We complained to the hotel manager twice, the second time I expected some sort of compensation- our compensation was a late check out and a tray of nuts and orange juice. So even when offered the opportunity to make it right they still couldn’t. I will make it my life’s mission to ensure no one that I know stays here.

Stayed in this hotel twice (2023/2024) during Christmas. Both times I have enjoyed my stay, however the hotel is not a 5-star rated class. The rooms are modern and pretty big. The hotel has a private beach guarded by a guard. The hotel has a pretty big territory and swimming pools with slides. The hotel has a gym with good equipment. However, the hotel in a span of a year has built a beach club, which begins to blast music from 13:00. The problem is… there already was a the club ZEROGRAVITY right NEXT TO the hotel which plays party from 12:00!! So there is no relaxation for the people at the beach, instead you get party remixes blasting from everywhere as if you were in Ibiza. The breakfast food was done well, however the staff always lacked teaspoons, coffee cups, yogurts, etc. If the hotel has so many people there should be more supplies for the guests. Lastly, we arrived to the hotel at 8:00 in the morning, and the hotel staff told us that the room will be ready by 15:00, 100%. We demanded for earlier check in. The hotel has a waiting/“relaxing” room which the hotel allows people to rest and there are beds. However they also allow people to go there and advertise tourists about tours, not so relaxing room. Lastly by 13:00 we were offered a room. When we entered the room, it smelled tobacco. The staff should warn and ask their guests before if they want a smoking room or not. So we waited until 15:00 and we only got our room at 15:30. Overall, this hotel is good, just not a 5 star rated and needs improvements in staff and respect towards their guests.
