Firstly, a huge thank you to the beautiful lady, Winnie, who welcomed us and made us feel right at home. She was incredibly warm, professional, and lovely. I feel like the entire hotel could be proud to have her on their team.
The entire hotel experience is truly breathtaking. Set within the vast, boundless natural desert, it offers a sense of expansive openness that is different from the ocean — it’s spacious and comforting.
Since childhood, I had only seen desert scenes in movies, but here, they come to life.
At night, it’s possible to turn off all lights, leaving no light pollution or noise whatsoever — an incredibly luxurious experience for those of us used to city life. It feels like being back in the silent cosmos, as if I am watching over the earth.
I wished to see a shooting star, waited for a moment, and my wish came true. Only by experiencing it can you truly understand.
Of course, the staff in the restaurant were also very welcoming and professional, making us feel extremely comfortable.
In short, this hotel can be considered a bucket list destination. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived, Al Maha exceeded every expectation and transported us to an oasis of tranquility and luxury. The villa’s location was absolutely perfect, offering breathtaking views of the desert and an unforgettable connection with wildlife. Having gazelles wander right into our backyard while we swam or relaxed poolside was nothing short of magical. The peace and serenity of the surroundings made it feel like we were in another world.
The service was impeccable, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. From being greeted with refreshing eucalyptus-scented cold towels each time we entered, to the team anticipating every need, we were blown away by the level of care. Every single staff member had a warm smile on their face, making us feel genuinely welcome and valued throughout our stay.
The excursions and safari guides were another highlight—what an experience! Michael’s passion and deep knowledge added incredible value, making every activity feel exciting and meaningful. I wish I could remember the names of all the staff members we encountered because each of them deserves recognition for the unforgettable experience they provide.
If you are on the fence about booking Al Maha, stop hesitating—this place is worth every moment. From the outstanding food, the dream-like comfort of the beds and pillows, to the private pools surrounded by gazelles, and the thrill of riding camels to holding falcons, every part of our stay was pure magic.
This is not just a resort—it’s an experience you need to feel for yourself. We are already planning our return!

Amazing hotel - once in a lifetime stay. The hotel is on a desert conservation area and in the middle of nowhere - animals roam freely. Meals and snacks are included - no alcohol included. The meals were absolutely incredible! The meals are a highlight. We only stayed one night - we chose falconry and the desert camel ride at sunset as our two included activities. Both activities were amazing. We loved the camel ride into the desert at sunset - so peaceful and beautiful. There was nothing but sand in every direction. The falconer show was well worth getting up early for. We enjoyed our room and the private pool.
When you want to go to the main reception, you just call the front desk and they send a staff member in a golf cart to come get you if you like. The service of the staff was top notch - everyone was so nice and always smiling. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this resort is even though we were only able to stay for one night. Two nights would be ideal but 1 night was still worth it. They organized a taxi to take us back to Dubai - cost was reasonable considering the length of the drive. I would love to go back again!

I want to give this place 7 stars. Just an incredible experience all round. The staff are some of the most attentive I’ve ever experienced, and the resort itself is stunning. Also, the food is WAY better than it looks on google review photos.

Our stay at Marriott’s Al Maha Resort outside Dubai was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’ve previously stayed at properties in the Maldives, Bali, Thailand, Hawaii, & across the US - the time at Al Maha was by far the best.
RYNO was our guide and elevated the experience of our stay to a new level. He personally accompanied us on each excursion and provided recommendations as to the best days/times for each. He is one of the most genuine individuals we’ve ever met, ensuring we not only learned about the activities, but talked to us like normal people. If you are traveling here, highly recommend you ask for RYNO as your guide.
The food was impeccable, as was the service from ANOLD & TRACY in the dining area. My wife and I found ourselves stopping to talk to ANOLD & TRACY, even if we were seated in a different section, because of how friendly they each were. I highly recommend trying the Sri Lanken dinner, as the flavors were outstanding!
A special note to KERO who always has a smile on his face and always went out of his way to say hello when we were in the lobby.
Our rooms were always immaculately clean. We met ILLANGO, the head of housekeeping, who has been at the property 20+ years. The level of pride he and the staff take in maintaining Al Maha is second to none. ILLANGO’s team makes note of when you are scheduled for an activity, so their team can clean your room while you are away.
Lastly, thank you to the camel handlers. We enjoyed the camel ride so much we went three separate times, getting to ride Barshar and Shamsee.
If you are a couple looking for a place to make memories that you’ll talk about for years to come….Al Maha Resort is your place!
