This is a top-notch hotel in a fantastic location with a staff who works really hard to make sure you have a great vacation. It is a spectacular bang for the buck.
I am a high maintenance American who brought a group of 10 women to Mallorca who all have a very high standard of service and comfort.
The hotel could not have been more accommodating. Each staff person helped out as if they were the most important guests in the hotel.
The rooms were large enough and comfortable.
Everyone raved about the breakfast. We had gluten-free and vegetarians, they all were happy. Great selection and great quality.
The location can't be beat because you are out of the chaos of downtown Palma yet can grab a bus or a taxi and be there in 15 to 20 minutes.
Some of the best beaches in Majorca are within walking distance. There are charming stores nearby. Fantastic ice cream across the way and wonderful restaurants all within walking distance.
The sea in front is fantastic because there is sea life. Grab a snorkel and you will see lots of fish, and even octopus which we saw numerous times.
We will be back and this is the only hotel that we will use. Thanks to your spectacular staff! ❤️

Absolutely loved our stay, spoiled from start to finish. Vera and Madelin were especially helpful to our group of 10 ladies from the US. They helped booked taxis, recommended restaurants and set out some snacks (including gluten free!) for our early morning departure. The breakfast is amazing…truly best European breakfast any of us have had with amazing sunrise views. Only recommendation is to heat the hot tubs a bit more. But we enjoyed the pool and just sitting on the deck chairs watching the ocean. The hotel is close to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Thank you for an amazing visit start to finish!

Our stay at hotel Barcelos Illetas Albatros fell short of expectations.
Express checkout: Dropped off keys for 3 rooms at 5am into the drop-off box as per the standard Express Check-out process but staff at reception ran out to stop us from leaving. I reiterated to him the Express Check-out procedure, yet he insisted I return to the desk to settle accounts, despite my credit card having been registered at check-in. Then reception couldn't get the EFTPOS terminal to connect to WIFI so I paid cash, had to insist on a receipt as none was forthcoming. Poorly handled experience, especially at 5am.
Noise: There is a nightclub or disco within the hotel that had loud music until 4am on Friday 13th Dec'24. Very frustrating, especially with a departure for airport at 5am.
Rooms: This hotel is very dated. Basic white gyprock walls, scratched paint, mold in shower, basic ceramic tiles. Thin walls - can hear toilet flushing in neighbouring room.
Despite paying extra for deluxe rooms with hot tub on the private terrace, the rooms have very basic decor and beddings, more in line with a three-star hotel. The hot tub in both rooms leaked, making the tiled terrace slippery and unsightly with puddles.
Overall, these issues made for a less enjoyable stay and did not meet the standard we expected.

Calm and serene environment, courteous and well-mannered staff, immaculate and well-maintained rooms, conveniently located near public transportation, lovely private pool and beach. The breakfast was delightful. I personally enjoyed exploring the city's culinary offerings for dinner.
