We have been to this hotel 3 times over the last 25 years and this visit was with family and it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff are fantastic they really do care that you have a great holiday. They are professional polite and attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellent and the Italian and sushi restaurants would not be out of place with any top Manchester or London restaurants. The food was impressive along with the outstanding service, a special thanks to the general Manager who has lived in Dorset absolute professional and the front of house Manager who again is a gentleman. Chief entertainment lead Irena was brilliant, I wish all the staff the very best and thank you for the wonderful hospitality and experience, we will be back.

What a superb hotel this is. We enjoyed a great holiday here with our grown up family. Attention is very evidently paid to every aspect of the hotel and its running, making for a faultless experience as a guest. Everything from the maintenance of rooms, grounds, and services, to the bar and restaurants, the quality of the food and drink, and very importantly the demeanour and courtesy of the universally wonderful staff is done very well. Some in our group had to change rooms due to a maintenance issue, but the proactive approach taken to compensating us immediately neutralised the inconvenience, to the degree that we actually felt it had been good fortune! There is attention to detail everywhere you look: as an example the table tennis table is kept equipped with good quality table tennis bats that are clearly renewed regularly and never allowed to degrade to being tatty. We were impressed particularly with how consistently every member of staff - from room cleaners, to bar staff, and entertainment staff - was professionally pleasant, and went about their jobs with cheerfulness. We know not all guests are easy to deal with but witnessed just how well some challenging situations were approached. The hotel leadership and management are clearly doing something right here to have a team that behaves this way, and this hugely contributes to the enjoyable experience of being a guest here. Finally, the hotel spa deserves special mention. It is lovely, beautifully appointed, and its staff and therapists highly professional; a treatment and massage is highly recommended. We would all come back here, in a flash, and hopefully we will!

We spent a glorious week here in a swim up room, which I’d highly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member, and a huge shout out to kids’ club. Our daughters (age 5, 7) took a shining to Monika in particular, and they loved learning the dance moves for the evening performance. Wonderful trip to the spa, and every meal was superb. I’ve seen complaints about the cats, but they’re lovely. Only a handful around and are well looked after, and no trouble at eating times.

We’ve just come back from an unforgettable stay at Barut Hemera in Side, Turkey, and honestly, it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality — the kind that makes you feel instantly at home. Pools & Amenities The hotel grounds are beautiful — lush gardens, great pools with plenty of space where you don’t feel crammed in, and so many spots to relax. Whether you want peace and quiet or a bit of atmosphere, there’s something for everyone. Towels are plentiful, loungers are comfortable, and everything is kept spotless. Food & Restaurants The food was a real highlight. Every meal felt like a treat — so much variety, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented dishes. The à la carte restaurants are definitely worth booking, and the patisserie is a must if you’ve got a sweet tooth! The staff in all the restaurants were so friendly and attentive — nothing was ever too much trouble. We enjoyed eating out at lunch in the à la carte restaurants with table service. Entertainment & Atmosphere The entertainment team deserves a special mention — they’re amazing! Always full of energy and fun, but never pushy. We loved the evening shows and the easy-going daytime vibe. There’s always something to do if you want it, but plenty of space to just relax too. Rooms we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a swim up room which was a lovely surprise. Our room was spotless, modern, and comfortable with a veranda and pool. It absolutely made the holiday even more special. Housekeeping was brilliant — everything was always fresh and tidy. The room has a mini bar which is stocked daily. Accessibility While some areas could be a bit tricky because of the layout, the hotel has ramps everywhere, which makes getting around much easier. It’s clear they’ve really thought about accessibility, and staff were always happy to lend a hand when needed. Overall Barut Hemera is a special place — not just because it’s beautiful, but because of the people who work there. The service, the care, and the atmosphere make it stand out. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a mix of luxury, comfort, and genuine warmth.

Myself and my wife stayed at Barut Hemara for 10 nights for our honeymoon. From the moment we got there, we were immediately taken aback by how impressive the hotel and the staff were, which was a theme throughout our stay, everyone went out of their way to make the stay truly memorable. Location - the hotel is well located, with general amenities directly outside to the front and right on the beech (excluding a footpath). It took us about 40 minutes to walk into Side old town, however there is a taxi rank right outside, should you want a lift. Amenities - the hotel is really well stocked, with numerous pools including an indoor one. This meant you could be well in the mix or have a quiet day if you want. The main pool has some fun water slides and there’s also a kids pool for younger children. The spa and gym are really good and there is also a mini shop by centre in the hotel (although be prepared to pay for convenience). Eating and drinking - couldn’t fault it, the food was really good with a vast mixture and the drinks are all branded, you can order via a QR code from your lounger around the hotel, pools and even beech, everyone working on the bars was amazing and were very memorable when it came to your drinks if you went to the bar. The food was varied through the days so you never got bored and the Al La Cartes were amazing (we had 3 and couldn’t fault any of them). The dining team were particularly attentive and quickly remembered drinks orders and even bought more over without asking, also their linguistic skills are highly impressive. Entertainment- there was always activities on and the entertainment team were incredible and worked throughout the day and evening to make sure guests were happy. A special shout out to Darina and Dilya who really were a great laugh. Every evening there was some form of event on the main stage, some were much better than others but overall, it was a fun way to spend an evening. We also were there during Oktoberfest and my god was that impressive, a really great day of eating, drinking and entertainment. Overall, the hotel was amazing and I really couldn’t fault it. However, by far the most impressive aspect were the people working there. We will definitely be staying again.
