Upon arriving early, we were able to check in early with a $50 charge, which was fine but I didn’t like the $150 deposit and only getting 75 back for phone usage and using facilities. Upon immediate arrival of my room, I’ve had an allergic reaction to either dusty carpet or dusty curtains or to something else - runny eyes and sneezing, burning nose so sleep is not good. The need is okay comfy, not bad but not great. I’m still here- can’t wait to leave here. I feel like if I complained I would get another old room with dusty carpet or be charged for another room so I can not wait to leave. Security is great and staff is ok. I don’t know how this is a 4 star hotel. The lobby is misleading - it’s fancy- but even the small basic rooms could have some class. The paint on the trims of all doors looks cheap. Brown trim, brown doors, and brown carpet. I know they are trying to keep with the old art deco look, but it looks cheap. You can also hear your neighbors flushing and showering. Desk drawer handle is also broken.

Was a great first time experience in New York. The rooms are a little small and dated but the service at this hotel is amazing and the on site food was incredible. I would stay here again if I came to New York again. Had to get used to 2 different elevators depending on where you want to go in the building (0-20 and 21-40). As for location I could not complain and did not get to explore much as the expo I was attending was at the hotel.

The famous New Yorker hotel on 34th street! 😍 I was really excited about booking this hotel for my trip to NYC because is really famous and the Art Deco style is my favourite! 👩‍🎨 The whole hotel feels like a time machine that sends you back to the golden age of the 1920’s… I likes that a lot but I would like to be honest and say that they should invest a bit in restoring the interior so we can enjoy it even more! 😇😇😇 Customer service is great, they gave me a late check out and helped me with whatever I needed. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids in the Terrace Family Suite. It was our first time to NYC and the New Yorker was the perfect hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable and we really appreciated the efforts to preserve the original feel of the place whilst maintaining a modern touch. The staff were always polite yet professional, and location wise this place cannot be beaten. Highly recommended for first time families to NYC!

We spent 9 nights at the New Yorker and chose to upgrade to the Queen suite, which included a private balcony. From there, we enjoyed stunning views of the Edge and the Chrysler Building. The room was spotless, and the staff were really accommodating. The hotel exuded a charming retro ambiance, which we absolutely loved. Its location was ideal—within walking distance of Times Square and conveniently close to Penn Station for easy subway access. Additionally, the Tick Tock Diner, situated within the hotel, proved to be both incredibly convenient and a delightful place for breakfast.
