We went back to c.c on the last day of May for two weeks all inclusive, it wasn't our first visit. We had been 3 other times once on our second honeymoon and twice with family. People might say how lucky we were but unfortunately because of our previous trips we had the hotel as it used to be absolutely beautiful. We were warned by posts people had put out the the hotel was tired and decided to over look them as we wanted to go back for a last time as my parents are elderly. Tired was a too polite word, they shouldn't be receiving guests in certain rooms in the hotel as we found when we we're relocated to a slightly better room that had a shower that worked and didn't flood the room. There wasn't a bath in this room which we weren't bothered about as the last rooms bath was taped and filled to within an inch of its sorry life. We were relieve when I put our clothes into the draws and they didn't drop through, as you've guessed like in the last room. The rugs by side of huge and extremely comfy bed were filthy and in desperate need of being replaced, so they spent the first week of our holiday out on the balcony ( had to bring back in as floor was very slippy) as one lady found she fell and ended up with her arm in plaster. We did make the most of out 5 person 25k holiday as my parents had paid for us, food was very good in reflections and drifters staff were a little rude and you almost felt you were putting them out at times. The few older members of staff that had been there over 20 yrs were lovely but the younger staff were really not doing the hotel any favours . Believe me I could go on and on, elegant have contacted us to follow up these issues, I can't call it a complaint as we didn't only pointed out problems. Loungers canopies broken , chairs in drifters broken, steps all around hotel chipped and you've guessed it broken. The hotel confirmed it is due for a refurbishment but they have put it back untill tamarind has been done. Premium prices for not a premium quality hotel, at the moment .

Spent a weekend here with my boyfriend and had an amazing stay. The staff were very nice and all the food was good ! The omelette station in the morning was my favorite. We went to the beach everyday and they even Brought drinks to us while on the beach. Location was about 25 min from the airport. On my way out they handed me a glass of champagne. We will be coming back. It’s a quiet hotel perfect for couples .

Just returned from a weeks stay at Crystal Cove. We had a lovely time. A warm efficient checkin and made to feel welcome . The rooms are a little dated, but with the surroundings you are in, you don’t spend much time in it. The resort could do with a refurb here and there, but nothing major. Beach was right on the doorstep, very clean, no issues getting a sunbed. The complimentary water sports were great fun, and we enjoyed snorkelling around the rocks near by. The staff are friendly and service can seem slow at times, but no one rushes in Barbados. The excursion rep Lisa was amazing and so was Jayne the supervisor at Drifters. It’s unfair to single people out as in our opinion they were all fantastic. The food and drink was good, lots of choice all through the day. Would we stay there again - Yes absolutely.

The grounds and location were very very nice. The bedroom was may be a three star. The bathroom sinks may be a three star the tub look like something out of a motel six very very old caulked in numerous different places does not look like anything on their website when viewing their website to see what the rooms and bathrooms look like. The food was terrible the first night there. Afterwards the food was good very good every day and every night the people working there pretty much had a frown on their face all the time me and my wife felt like it was up to us to make them happy. There were a handful of employees that had a good disposition and were friendly Dolores being one of them but the managers of the place were very very unhelpful and did not care that the pictures on their website were not what the bathrooms look like I would not stay here again you pay a five star price and get a 3 Star Pl.

So the grounds, staff and location were brilliant. Loved the inclusive water sports - such a laugh. But the hotel itself was tired. Wires stuck to walls with tape. Old shower units with no hot water. The toilet in our room continually flushed. Broken steps..... Our room was serviced daily but glasses weren't removed and coffee / sugar wasn't topped up. Would have loved to have our own coffee machine to save the walk out to reception in the mornings. So I wouldn't go back. Not for the money. I appreciate it's all inclusive and you could stuff yourself from the break of day until bed time and drink yourself silly. But personally I'd rather be more discerning and eat & drink less. The food was good. Evenings were better in the main restaurant than in the beach bar. But it was canteen food. So not for me, but totally appreciate how hard the staff worked. Our welcome there was very warm.
