We went on our 2nd fishing excursion for the weekend at this resort. We were staying at Bay Front at the Contemporary, where we had our first fishing excursion. Both were great.
Don was our guide, and he was very pleasant, attentive, kind, and patient with 2 younger adults and myself middle age. Took us to some good spots, and really, made our experience enjoyable even though the weather did not. It was well worth it, though. Highly recommend asking for Don as your guided boat tour fishing excursion. He knows some great hot spots. 2 hour excursion, and we 4 of us caught 19-20 nice size bass. Again, if the weather hadn't been so bad, I believe we would have far exceeded that. Over 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for Don.

We went the week of Hurricane Milton. The way the rooms are set up is campus style which means all the doors open to the outside like a motel. The main resort lobby was a 15 minute walk away and our nearest food was in another building. When i first spoke to a cast member about my concerns for the hurricane she said that if the storm got bad enough they would close everything down and we would have to fend for ourselves by having groceries delivered. 😠 The next day i was able to talk to a manger who said they would give us plenty of warning if things were going to shut down so we could ensure that we had food. She even said that a lit of time they give out free food. I felt much better after the conversation with the manger. When the hurricane hit they did shut the park down early on Wednesday but gave us plenty of warning. They also gave us a time food would be shut down so we could be prepared. They did not give out free food however they did have meal kits you could take back to your room. Despite the hurricane we still had a great time.

We chose this resort because it is convenient to the skyliner. We enjoyed the convenience for sure. The rooms were fine. Much older with super loud air conditioning units. The beds were moderate. Due to the fact we were barely in the room, it was fine.
We enjoyed the restaurant every day. The convenience store offered great nibbles and drinks. The staff was friendly and the lobby hosted characters nearly every time we walked through. The grounds are stunning and well maintained. We truly enjoyed our 5 nights!
While storms occurred, we did find it challenging to get to parks. Buses take longer than the times posted. Thankfully we had a rental car this visit.

The main lobby is beautiful, the rooms were outdated a bit but they resort was well kept. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Had a great time for the first time stayin at a resort while on Disney property. Best thing was the skyliner, and the buses. This allowed us to get to anywhere we needed without delay.

The laundry is operated by an outside party and often has issues. I and many other guests were left with washed clothes but couldn't dry them. They have changed their drink refill stations so there are only one per section, like one in Aruba and one in Jamaica etc. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. All the staff were kind and helpful.
