Great location. There's the deuce bus close by that can take you up and down the strip. Lots to do. Friendly staff. Fremont street is right here which you have to experience as well. The party goes all night, even if you don't drink there's lots to do and see. Live music as well. There's something for everyone.

Rooms are definitely not 5 star but clean enough for discounted pricing. Tub had some rust cracks on it. Hot water smelled like sewage. It is an old hotel so I’m sure the hot water heaters are not kept up with. There is no complimentary coffee. There are free water bottles. No refrigerator or microwave in our room. Over all was not bad. I would stay again.

I was nervous about staying down by Fremont street especially with reviews about noise and common commotion in and out of the hotel. When we arrived the check in was done at a kiosk and while it took a little bit it was honestly the best check in (and more affordable) process I’ve ever had. We stayed on the 6th floor of the Rush tower and I’m not sure where everyone is finding this noise because it was quiet throughout our entire stay even at night (on a weekend). The pool was amazing and the daybeds might be one of the best things they had to offer. Servers at the hideout were great and the whole experience was fantastic.

My husband and I stayed in the Jr Suite in the Rush tower for our wedding week and had an excellent experience! The room was very spacious and clean as well as the Hotel/Casino. And the water pressure was amazing, wish we could have brought it home with us! There are 2 Starbucks, Chick Fil A and a restaurant on site all had excellent service! Fremont St. is definitely the spot to be while in Vegas and we highly recommend staying at The Golden Nugget!

Paid $240 total for 2 nights (Tue/Wed) in Carson Tower. I chose the cheapest "Bed type assigned at check-in" option and arrived early at 10am and paid for early check-in. Great location on Fremont St and I liked the free parking and wifi. The casino is your typical casino that stinks of stale cigarette smoke. The pool is top-notch with blackjack & Craps tables outside. Didn't like how there are no humans working in the lobby for check-in. You can only check-in at self-serve kiosks, so arrive early or you'll wait in long lines. Early check-in before 3:00 was $23. I could also do without the salespeople trying to sell timeshares at the entrance and elevators. They're too aggressive and create uncomfortable interaction. The Carson Tower room was very average -- No coffee maker or fridge but I liked the 4 free water bottles. The "King" bed was not a King, it's a mini Queen. Room was clean with a nice TV but the bathtub drained too slowly and was 1/4 full of water after an 8 minute shower. The sink had very low water pressure but hot water was good. I had no issues with noise since the Carson Tower is located back off of Fremont St. Blackout curtains were great and I slept well. Basically, it's an average hotel/casino. I would return if price is right.
