This was my first time in Vegas so we did it up a bit. The Golden Nugget has a much more vintage and mellow vibe compared to the new strip. The room we had still had a lot of the original furniture from the Rat Pack days. The restaurants in the hotel/casino were great, as was any staff we dealt with while we were there. Great time, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We were here on a visit to the casino. The Golden Nugget is located centrally in Las Vegas. The hotel and casino are connected of course but still are individual entities. The casino was nice and busy. The casino opens onto Fremont St Experience which is nice. Since we were here in late November the pool was closed and they were doing repairs. There is an aquarium there but we didn't go because it is a little difficult to access from the Hotel. This is a very nice Hoteland Casino. I enjoyed my stay and probably would go again should the opportunity arise.

We enjoy staying at the Golden Nugget. The rooms are comfortable. It is noisy but your so tired at night that it didn't keep us awake.
The only thing I was unhappy about was we upgraded our room to get a coffee pot and a refrigerator. They have the coffee pots that takes K-pods and we were only allowed 4. Wait...what! I upgraded to a room with a coffee pot and now your not going to supply the coffee. We asked for more and the housecleaner told us we would have to pay $25 to get 4 more. That is ridiculous. Put back the regular coffee pots if your going to do that. A room with a coffee pot should provide the coffee. We were there for 4 days and only had enough coffee for 1 day.
Come on Golden Nugget, I know you can do better!!!

stayed at this hotel on Fremont Street for the first time during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Got a tranquility room in the Rush tower and I did not have any problems falling asleep due to the noise on Fremont; also brought ear plugs just in case based on others' reviews. This hotel was fun and a great value if you don't want to spend Strip prices. I will definitely be coming back to the Golden Nugget

Great casino. One of the most famous "Old school" casinos. It has been here nearly forever it has been a Landmark of the West for over 100 years. Good food, nice rooms. Sometimes you can get a great deal when there is a special function (Vegas Bike Week). They have an actual gold bar vending machine in the lobby.
