We had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Express Wall Street! The location is unbeatable—right near the subway, making it super easy for us to explore the city. Plus, we were just a short walk from the Liberty Cruise ferry and the Brooklyn Bridge, which was a huge plus for our sightseeing plans.
To top it off, we were given an early check-in since we arrived in New York early, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting NYC!

I enjoyed my stay at this property. Location is very good, being a very short walk away from Wall St and Fulton St stations. Rooms were clean, spacious, and the bathroom was a good size. The interior is tiring slowly but still in good condition. Breakfast was basic but filling - it is best to go early for breakfast or else it gets quite busy.
The only con was when I checked in, I accidentally left my passport wallet on the counter (silly me after being away for nearly 30hrs). Instead of being contacted by the staff member I checked in with, who could have noticed that I left the item behind, it was put into a lost property drawer.

We booked a 4 night stay pre paid. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was overbooked and we had to be moved from our room with a king bed and couch bed to a room with 2 queens. We were then told we might get moved the next day. The next morning the guest agent told us we had to come back around 2:00 to change rooms. We said we did not want to and were happy just staying where we were. The agent told us it would not be fair for the people coming tonight who had booked our room if it wasn't available for them. I responded, it wasn't fair that our room was not available when we checked in. They said they would move our stuff out of our room. I did not want them touching it. I asked for compensation for having to move. Some points were offered that we never received.
In all my years of using hotels, this was the first time I have had to move mid stay.
The room was serviceable, but I never was able to shower with hot water as it never was warmer than lukewarm
Decent breakfast with hot food

This hotel seemed like a good option due to the free breakfast and it's location. I had never had a bad experience with Holiday Inn... until now. My dad and I checked in, and they had overbooked our hotel room. The person at the desk gave us a different room for the night and said we probably wouldn't have to switch rooms the next day. The next morning the lady at the desk was extremely unsympathetic and told us we would have to move our stuff out of the room, and wouldn't have access to a room for a few hours (that we had already paid for to have the entire day). She kicked us out of our room, and said "it wouldn't be fair to the next people in that room that you guys are in currently, even though it's going to be unfair to you". (Which didn't make sense because they had no problem booking someone in the room we were supposed to have). She said all they could do for us is give us IHG points, we never got any points from it. My father and I had to pack everything back up and leave it all downstairs in the lobby. There were constantly people in the lobby complaining about being double charged, and having the wrong room.
Their rooms are tiny, if you are trying to have space for more than a couple people, don't book here. The rooms smell moldy and are humid, plus our room had multiple leaks in the bathroom that would soak all of our items if left on the counter. Their breakfast room is tiny, and consistently overcrowded.

I highlight the amazing location just a few blocks distance from subway entrances, views of lower Manhattan and the riverfront!
The breakfast is acceptable for a small buffet, but there were not enough tables, two days I had my breakfast in my room because of the crowded space.
My perception is the elevators need more attention and maintenance.
