Hotel Agua Beach was a nice place. The room we had showed some slight damages, like a bent doorknob or somesuch. That is about the worst I could find.
This hotel really shines when looking at it's location and genuinely friendly and helpful staff!
It sits right in the middle of Palmanova, in between a good selection of nice restaurants ( at the time of writing this review )
It's so close to the beach and good food that there was some days were my smartwatch showed me I walked only 1000 steps😅.
We enjoyed the breakfast, which they change up slightly every day. The staff providing the breakfast seemed to be in a really good mood, which was actually very pleasant.
I like that the hotel does not micromanage the guests too much. Wanna take the provided towel to the beach? Sure! Just make sure to return it later :)
Me and my girlfriend would return here and recommend this place 👌

A mixed review from me-
I had booked a double room with a sea view but on arrival was taken to the annexe which looked nothing like the photos I had seen when choosing the hotel. I requested to swap to a double room with a sea view in the main hotel (which is what I had booked) but was told there were no rooms available and to ask again in the morning. After a sleepless night I was moved as requested and the rest of my stay was pleasant (although strangely there was no mattress protector on my bed just a thin holey sheet covering the very comfortable memory foam matttress !)
On a more positive note the position of the hotel is excellent, the beds comfy and black out curtains great. I thought the buffet breakfast was good especially the delicious fresh bread.
Hotel Agua Beach please bear in mind solo female travellers often choose hotels because they want the security of entering a building via a manned reception so please avoid putting solo females in the annex unless you have made the situation clear to them beforehand.
I also bumped into a fellow guest wandering round carrying a large bottle of water trying desperately to find his way back to the annex. He was surprised to have been put there too so maybe you need to consider making the 2 buildings clearer during the booking process and charging different rates.

I recently stayed here as part of stag weekend. The hotel is ok and well located for bars and restaurants. One small lift servicing the entire hotel is a bit frustrating, but the outdoor bar space is good and well served. Sadly, that's largely where the good service ended for me.... The lady running reception is notably blunt and abrasive. She even had the audacity to shout at me and accuse me of being rude (and in effect lying), when I asked a third time for my underperforming air conditioning unit to be fixed...

The location of this hotel can't be beat, and it has easy access to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even helped me call a cab to get to my planned event when there was no Uber available. If it wasn't for that very nice man at the front desk, I wouldn't have been able to make it on time. The rooms are comfortable with working AC, which is crucial if you go in the summer like I did. The breakfast here was a pleasant surprise also, and was very satisfying, and the free sangria my first night there was a nice touch too. You're within walking distance of many shops and restaurants here, and close to everything you need. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and recommend it to others.

DETAILED REVIEW:
We stayed at Agua Beach for 6 nights bed & Breakfast in room 118.
The hotel room: was clean to the eye, spacious and plenty of storage. The room had a kettle with tea, coffee and sugar also a mini fridge (no complimentary bottles of water and no water fountain available in the lobby, big shame when arriving at 02:30am). The balcony Unfortunately received NO DIRECT SUNLIGHT whatsoever which meant our beach wear and towels didn't dry even after being left out for 24+hrs (worth booking a sea room). The mattress had some stains which was not pleasant so make sure you check your mattress especially the UNDER SIDE. No mattress topper either just a thin sheet that moved during the night leaving the mattress exposed. Also no extractor fan in the bathroom which was a pain after 2 people had a shower the room was steamy and wet.
The hotel facilities: was the best part of the hotel. The rooftop sunbeds are comfy and get sunshine all day. There was 2 Jacuzzis, only 1 working/uncovered Jacuzzi which is not heated (broken) but when the sun is shining in that area its lovely with a partial sea view. The hotel pool was okay, few missing/lose tiles, only a handful of sun loungers around the pool and on a few occasions people did reserve loungers which is 'not' allowed. The greenery around the hotel is lovely. Entertainment is not a thing only in Olivias bar that the public can use.
The Breakfast: was okay... nothing special just like any other hotel food. The fruit was a bit dehydrated and the bacon really fatty.
The annex: We didn't stay in the annex so can not comment from experience but on arrival a guest in front of us specifically booked to be in the main hotel with a sea view and despite this they put her in the annex and said they are fully booked (at 02:30am) which she was not happy with understandably. Through out our holidays we heard bad things about the annex, mainly it smelling damp, being un modern and just not a nice experience.
Overall: I would recommend this hotel if you want an adults only, beachfront location and friendly staff. 100% upgrade to a sea room view but also be prepared to be let down by this. Have a shop around and look at other hotels also.
