Just arrived home from this hotel. We booked a room for 4 adults. We had the smallest room with one of the beds “ a put me up metal bed across the door to the alwful balcony. Room was so basic and very worn. This is NOT a 4* star hotel I would say a 2* for hotel and 3* for the beach view. Staff are helpful and polite but the food is so basic and bland you struggle to find something each time. Hotel hallway is DIRTY with stains and nothing like the pictures advertised unless you go premium rooms which look nicer. I feel I have to leave this review as it’s completely false advertising on what you think your bookings for a relaxing holiday ! Drinks are watered down and finishes at 11pm and well the entertainment is so bad it’s embarrassing to describe. Please take a look at the pictures this don’t lie. WiFi is terrible hotel only give you free for 24hrs.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at the Palia Maria Eugenia hotel.
My husband was very anxious arriving as he is registered blind, however he needn’t have been as the whole experience was incredible and the staff could not have done enough to make our stay enjoyable and make him feel safe and supported. Firstly we got an upgraded room, so he had more space and less stairs to climb, secondly the bar and restaurant staff guided him as if they were trained to care for people with additional needs. The views were spectacular, food delicious and entertainment fun and engaging. I loved the aqua gym! If you are thinking of going, book premium, it gives you more excess to limited areas and enough sun loungers for everyone, with space between each group. The pools are beautiful with sea views as if you are in an infinity pool. Lots of shops opposite and a short walk down to the beach with crystal clear sea. What more can you want? We intend to return next year with family this time. Thank you staff we loved it! Now to tackle the post holiday blues

Stayed here with my partner in September, the hotel is lovely. However, it’s lacking health and safety, the ladder to exit the main pool isn’t secure at all, (completely comes out, nothing holding it down), as I was getting out of the pool, the ladder completely fell out (im only very petite 5ft) which led to me dislocating my knee and having to pay the costs of hospitals and taxis. The hotel did NOTHING to compensate or apologise for this, they said they were going to speak to their manager and didn’t and just didn’t look at us for the remainder of the holiday. There was another lady there who did the same thing earlier in the week and had bruises all over her leg, the lifeguard was no where to be seen.
Secondly, you do not have access to the pool overlooking the sea that you see on pictures or the adult only section unless you have booked “premium” there’s a map on reception with red X’s over most of the hotel that you cannot access. We asked for an upgrade, was told we couldn’t. There is also a separate all inclusive menu for the “premium” they wouldn’t even allow me to use the toilet in the separate building when they were holding the entertainment down at the stage, so I had to limp uphill to the main hotel.
The rooms are ok, spacious enough, however there is a door in the middle of your room, separating you from your neighbour, and the walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything, from snoring to talking to banging. The cleaners go in as early as 7am and bang the furniture around without care in the world
The food is bang average, edible for the first few days until you’re fed up but there are many lovely restaurants surrounding for a change
The entertainment is absolutely fantastic and they put some real effort into this
Beach is beautiful with warm clear waters

Hotel Palia Maria Eugenia is a fantastic hotel that perfectly balances tranquility with family friendly amenities. My family and I were seeking a restful getaway, and this resort ticked all the boxes. The rooms were spotless and modern, and our double Premium room offered breathtaking sea views that added to the overall charm of our stay. The hotel features multiple pools, including two infinity pools and a stunning rooftop seating area with a beautiful bar, plenty of options for relaxation and soaking up the sun. The food was very good, with a different theme every night that kept things fresh and exciting. We particularly enjoyed the variety and quality of the meals... The service was outstanding. A special thanks to Celine at reception and Andrea at the premium pool bar, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their friendliness and attention to detail truly enhanced our experience... Whether you’re a couple looking for a peaceful retreat or a family in need of relaxation, Hotel Palia Maria Eugenia is a great choice. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it!

We (a family of 3) stayed here for 10 nights with the premium upgrade. Overall we were not impressed, if we hadn't of upgraded to premium I think we may have gone home early. The staff in general were nice, especially in the premium snack bar and the lifeguard.
The rooms are quite a squeeze for 3 people, but for 2 people they would be fine. The rooms are pretty clean and we had fresh towels everyday. One downside of where our room was located is the evening entertainment was right below our balcony. This goes on until 11pm so if you want an early night or have small children it isn't great, but all of the premium rooms would have a similar issue. We would recommend taking ear plugs or some headphones. The flush on our toilet did not work, and there was no working extractor fan in our bathroom.
The swimming pools are nice, two in the premium area which are both a good depth and size. There was always enough sun loungers/sun beds, so we never had to wake up early to reserve them! The main pool was a very good size and very deep so was a good pool for jumping/diving in!
The Beach is about a 10 minute walk away, so very manageable. It is a lovely sea to swim in, it is very calm and warm. It does get very busy down there, but that is to be expected.
The food is were this hotel really lets itself down! The restaurant isn't big enough for the size of the hotel, there is always long queues for the buffet and quite honestly not worth the wait. They either need to expand the restaurant, or extend the opening times of the restaurant to ensure the dining experience is enjoyable. The pizza and pasta's are nice, but after 10 nights we were sick of eating these! The snack bars are ok in the day, but again very repetitive with burgers and hotdogs.
The breakfast was the nicest meal of the day, fresh pancakes, pastries and fruit everyday, plus a hot cooked breakfast. There is also only one restaurant at this hotel, which we have never had in a 4 star hotel before.
My wife has a nut allergy, which we made the hotel aware of when booking and they assured us they would take it seriously. Unfortunately this wasn't the case, Most of the time there wasn't the correct allergen information available and when we asked the staff they had no idea! luckily I have 16 years experience as a chef so had a good indication of what would and wouldn't have nuts in. For example they told my wife the pesto pasta was suitable for her to eat, but it did contain nuts and I managed to stop her prior to eating it! I checked the allergen information and they had put the wrong information card out for that particular dish! No one seemed particularly concerned about this when we raised the issue. I even asked the hotel manager on one occasion if something had nuts in it and he simply said I don't know, check with her and pointed to the waitress. This is due to the fact that the salad bar had no allergen information on anything at all!
The little shopping centre/restaurant area outside the hotel is ok, a bit rough and ready but nice enough for a little walk round.
We had a nice pudding in one restaurant, went back to try dinner one night and I was served a raw burger!
We can fully recommend the restaurant "Taste" which is only a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel.
We were asked upon arrival for a paper copy of a booking confirmation, which we have never had before at any hotel. We tried to show the receptionist on the TUI app our booking confirmation but they wanted a printed copy which was a little bit unusual.
Overall we enjoyed being away on a holiday, but we wouldn't return to this hotel.
I personally think this was a 3* hotel, and with the newer premium side it has bumped it up to a 4* but none of the amenities have been upgraded.
