We loved our stay at the hotel. Everything was really clean and the design was lovely. Outdoor pool area was spacious with plenty of sun bed/seating options. We made use of the great indoor pool and spa every day too which was so relaxing and peaceful. Breakfast buffet was great. Staff were all very friendly and we really appreciated the view of the harbour from the room and the wheelchair we hired for a few days.
We thought the location was perfect, it was lovely to be able to explore the harbour in one direction and a sandy beach 10 minute walk in the other direction and be in a peaceful town that didn’t feel like a resort. It was nice to have the square in front of the hotel to visit for evening drink options as the hotel was very quiet with no bar available after 11pm. It would have been nice if the indoor bar area was open as it looked like a lovely space.
We had a hire car with us and had no problems finding a space to park - there’s parking all around the hotel.

Lovely hotel, unusually laid out on different levels. Spotlessly clean, there were a lot of young families here, we travelled as a couple and found it suited us. Food at the pool bar was very nice, excellent choice of drinks. Paula in reception was lovely, so helpful with everything. Can't comment on food at dinner as we were bed and breakfast. Room was very comfortable, it was nice having a separate sitting room. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities. Overall we had a lovely holiday and fell in love with Portocolom.

We stayed in this hotel for a week (half board), it was an amazing stay, clean rooms, amazing buffets, pools and playground for kids (our baby had so much fun!). There were a lot of families, we liked the ambiance. Every night there was entertainment shows for the kids and adults!
The bartender is very good! The drinks were delicious as well as the food! The staff are so nice and so helpful! (All of them)!
A great hotel overall! We would go there again 😍

JS Hotels - not great service, issues with bar staff, we simply asked for a drink ( nonalcoholic ) he shrugged his shoulders and moved then went to another customer, had to wait again, for no reason at all. He was speaking to other customers in Spanish looking over at us laughing. Eventually came back and laughed. Very rude. We are still here currently leaving Saturday.
Many issues with our room AC broken 3 times, show flooded the entire bathroom. We have moved rooms but had to come back to this room. It’s not been a great place so far.
Portocolom itself ( not the hotel ) has a lovely charm, nice old fashioned mixed with a modern sleek feel to it, other restaurants & bars around are brilliant!
Would not recommend this hotel.

Rooms are spacious. Service at the bar is awful they obviously have no training or experience. I went off season but sometimes waited 20 mins while they served 2 people. I started buying 2 pints at time! So incredibly slow.
Food mediocre/poor but was very cheap in the package. No concierge or anyone to help with cases. Location not great if you cannot walk far. Restaurants nearby are for locals and are just burgers and ice-cream. Very good value for people with preschool kids (and lots of them there. Great swimming pool for kids with slide and water splasher. Entertainment was dire except one night where they had a brilliant singer. See photos for poster.
