I got into the hotel by “accident “ as the first hote i got had problems so they sent me to this hotel instead and i insisted on staying there , the staff took care of everything for me and upgraded my room due to the issues that happened in the last hotel ( kindness at its best) And Im so happy it happened! This hotel is located in the center so everything is super close - The staff are amazing!- they take you and your bags in a mini car and show you around) - variety of amazing food and alcohol you can take from the kitchen to your room -The rooms are clean and in new condition And even calling for the cleaner is electric (a touch screen on the wall) A-nd the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and clean. After being in this hotel i can honestly say that this one is the ultimately hotel And you will be so happy once you get there as they welcome you with a glass of cold Champagne / non alcoholic beverage for your kids lol You also get 1 or 2 free pass to the hotel chef restaurant which is an absolute treat By the pool you can find free drinks and a fridge with food like salads/ sandwiches and desserts you can take with you if the kitchen is close or if you want to have food with you when you travel so even if you miss the breakfast/lunch/dinner you will never be in a hurry The only thing i think is kinda absurd is the spa prices but other than that i would return that that place without a doubt I could find any hotels in the area that could compare to this one The hotel have different room “classes” Some without apool - so you get only the main pool Some with a shared pool(1 pool for 4 rooms)- i think this is the best option because you can go for a night swim when the main pool is close Rooms with a private pool- the pool are very small and you view the main pool or other areas directly so theres no privacy in some of them so make sure you get aroom with privacy I would suggest taking a shared pool if you want to use the pool at night While in the day using the main pool or travel

Really wanted to love this hotel but just couldn’t get behind it. After staying for a week, we left with mixed feelings. I’ll drop some pointers below highlighting what we enjoyed and what could potentially be improved. The good bits: - A recent renovation, the hotel is immaculate and aesthetically stunning throughout - Nice pool area with cool poolside loungers that integrate into the water - Great little gym - Room was nice with a partial sea view. We didn’t experience any problems with the A/C - Breakfast was enjoyable but make sure to get there early to find a good table, it’s worth it for the views! The not so good bits: - We stayed on a half board basis. Drinks were expensive but what annoyed us the most was how quick the staff were to slap the receipt pad next to you to sign. Please come up with a better system for this (a quick signature on a E-pad or something) especially in the restaurant as it detracts from your enjoyment - Service was hit and miss. Reception team were friendly but some of the waiting staff in the restaurant were rude and like to ignore you - We thought entertainment was pretty poor and they had nothing planned on a Friday! With the hotel being quite far from the main strip in Hersonissos (around a 25 min. walk) entertainment needs to improve otherwise it can make for a boring evening. - The spa staff were pushy - totally unnecessary for a 5 star hotel. Their sales tactics put us off using the spa altogether - Although good quality, the evening food was quite repetitive. We ended up eating out a lot because of this Overall I’d rate King Minos a 6.5 / 10. We’ve been spoilt with 5 star hotels in Turkey and this just doesn’t compare. It’s still a really nice option for Hersonissos but we wouldn’t return.

Arrived at 3am, very welcoming arrival greeted by a very kind man who gave us drinks, sorted our suitcases, followed by a lift up to our room. Hotel is beautiful, very aesthetic looking. Close walk to the beach, although it is on a hill. Pool area is lovely, we went half board. Drinks and snacks during the day aren’t badly priced. Rooms are very clean and nice, be careful not to leave any food out or drop crumbs in the room or ants do appear. We had a garden view room, but still had a bit of sea view, the swim up sea view rooms look amazing. Food is your average hotel Buffett not the best not the worst. The pool bar has a very strange system and seems to take ages sometimes to get a drink or food sorted. Some type of chilled entertainment on during the day a few days a week, saxophone man was good & on a high piano, DJ. Overall a lovely hotel if you want to chill out, would recommend!

Loved this holiday! Great location close enough to walk to resturaunts and local shops! The private pool was cleaned daily and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Maria was great all week making an effort to come and see us off on our last day and always saying hi when we walked past. The outdoor bar staff were incredible keeping up with everyone who was there and the drinks were spot on! Food was good always plenty of choice! A great experience! We will be returning!

Clean , fresh modern hotel . Staff very friendly and attentive ,But services limited …even on Fully inclusive! …WiFi near enough non existent , plus bar service mainly local beers and wines and after a certain time you have to pay ! , food limited to times not 24 hours and room fridge very small and again very limited not a 5 star as advertised and paid for I would say 3 star services . Hotel in nice position though and Will come back to Crete but not this hotel !
